asdt123123 Posted Sunday at 09:07 PM Posted Sunday at 09:07 PM Better Body Deformation View File Modifies Skyrim's skinning shader to introduce a DQS blend to your specified body regions for improved mesh deformation during animations/poses or physics. It'll create more uniform meshes that'll preserve volume significantly better when bones (limbs, breasts, etc) are moved out of their resting position. Modify the influence this mod has on regions of the body in SKSE Mod Menu! Just press `F1` then find `Better Deformation`. From inside that menu you can add/remove bones, and increase/decrease the skinning influence this mod applies (Compared to vanilla) to each of those body regions. The default config isn't too extensive, so be creative and mess with the menu! Stuff like the Spine 2 bone can have a big impact (Maybe positive or negative depending on your opinion) Requirements Skyrim SE/AE (No VR support yet) SKSE64 and Address Library for SKSE Plugins matching your game runtime. SKSE Mod Menu Framework (Optional for the mod menu, highly highly recommended) Installation: Install the mod as you would anything else If you use Community shaders, you MUST delete your shader cache. Common Questions: It doesn't work - Make sure you rebuild your shader caches (For Community shaders, just delete ShaderCache folder). If that doesn't work, present your %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\BetterDeformation.log file in a post I don't like the look! - The default config is simple. Add more bones, remove bones, tweak the influence in the SKSE mod Menu! Performance impact? - There may be a minor impact with many NPCs at once. The non-community shaders version is a bit heavier since it's prologue injection hack instead of native. Something something.. Mu joint fix - Compatible. Mu Joint Fix tries to "correct" bone placement, while BBD (this mod) changes the actual algorithm that calculates the vertex placement in the shader. So no conflicts, just personal opinions and maybe some configuration needed Confirmed Compatibility: Should be compatible with all Community Shaders versions released within the last year ENB (Latest version) and Vanilla Skyrim SE, AE - Skyrim AE versions beyond 1.6.1170 have NOT been tested Confirmed INCOMPATIBLE: ShaderTools.dll (Very old mod) Submitter asdt123123 Submitted 10/11/26 Category Adult Mods Requirements Regular Edition Compatible No Install Instructions Installation: Install the mod as you would anything else If you use Community shaders, you MUST delete your shader cache. 6
深淵の神 Posted Sunday at 09:13 PM Posted Sunday at 09:13 PM I don’t know if something like this already exists, but would you consider fixing foot deformation during sexual animations, where the foot wearing high heels bends backward beyond what’s anatomically correct?
MysticDaedra Posted Sunday at 09:57 PM Posted Sunday at 09:57 PM I assume that body type doesn't matter here? Definitely downloading and testing, this is pretty huge!
WipeLawn Posted Sunday at 11:30 PM Posted Sunday at 11:30 PM asdt123123 cooked again! How does it go with Mu Joint Fix? No longer needed? 1
zapho Posted Sunday at 11:55 PM Posted Sunday at 11:55 PM YES! Dear god please let this work on my setup
shrtjsrtj Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Thank you, this has annoyed me forever and I just assumed it was impossible/too hard to fix.
B3juc0 Posted yesterday at 05:46 AM Posted yesterday at 05:46 AM Incredible mod. For people that use custom bodies (like Softbody), do you just add the extra bones in SKSE Mod menu and it just works?
adragtobearound Posted yesterday at 06:15 AM Posted yesterday at 06:15 AM (edited) mu joint fix compatible? what about mods that rely on it? Edited yesterday at 06:16 AM by adragtobearound

shane400m Posted yesterday at 07:16 AM Posted yesterday at 07:16 AM got a crash after installing, logs have it as a likely culprit and registered among possible offendcrash-2026-10-12-00-15-17.logers. Posting here in case.

Posting here in case. That's a dangling pointer. It crashes on BetterDeformation because BetterDeformation is the first mod to read the corrupted memory. Remove ActorLimitFix, it doesn't do anything anymore. I would also test remove https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/125999
NCK30 Posted yesterday at 08:15 AM Posted yesterday at 08:15 AM Here You go and do another "Mod of the Year" contender. You singlehandidly fixed some of the worst problems Skyrim ever had. Going to test as soon as I get home. 1
Kakabishan Posted yesterday at 09:52 AM Posted yesterday at 09:52 AM You continue to make banger after banger mods, idk how. You are a genius

B3juc0 Posted yesterday at 10:37 AM Posted yesterday at 10:37 AM I have Mu Joint Fix and this mod (Don't seem to conflict) That said the solution from this mod is way... way better than Mu Joint Fix, so probably redundant now.

sikamikanico78 Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM (edited) @asdt123123 did it again! always bringing our beloved game to the next lvl! cant wait for you to do a mod about boobs sucking and groping... npc mouth/hand could be docked to the pc nipples/areolas like the penetration physics mod you did!! (you can consider that a challenge for you! xD) thank you for all the cool mods. Edited yesterday at 11:20 AM by sikamikanico78

_sanada_ Posted yesterday at 02:38 PM Posted yesterday at 02:38 PM this would be essential mod. many animation would make the body look horrifying
Keifomofutu Posted yesterday at 03:33 PM Posted yesterday at 03:33 PM So in theory, would it crash VR or might it just work (tm). Lots of mods made for SE just happen to work in VR.
Public_Swan Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Whoah, I have to try this! I've been noticing the neck being really weird.
Elizinator Posted yesterday at 04:22 PM Posted yesterday at 04:22 PM this works really well immediately, but i have noticed a few bones produce very very weird results when this is applied to them. Pelvis worst of all, but everything which affects CBPC bones seems to alter how they respond to physics in unpredictable ways, such as radically magnifying the effects of gravity or rotation numbers. The worst offenders there were butt and thighs, which previously had minimal numbers, needed to be severely reduced. why this didnt happen with all bones, todd only knows. i look forward to seeing how this mod develops!
