a_random_user Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Basic Prostitution for NPC View File Sets selection of Vanilla and mod NPC as prostitutes with varying prices. Lightweight and highly configurable. Works with Sexlab and Ostim Standalone. ESL. An optional SPID file will set all mod added followers as prostitutes, except followers added to a blacklist. Optionally, you can get also get buffs (enabled by default), or debuffs (disabled by default) from your visits. After a long day of cave crawling or dungeon delving, an adventurer wishes nothing more than to wind down with a bottle of wine and a wench. Basic Prostitution makes it easy to find a working lady, either from Vanilla NPC, or from the many, many, many mods that place pretty people around the settlements of Skyrim. If you have coin, you can buy what you want! You want to hire a couple of tavern wenches and have a threesome? Done. You want to donate to a Priestess of Dibella and share her with your follower? Of course. Give a bottle of skooma to a beggar and get a blowjob? I question the wisdom in that, but sure. Prices and payment form differ between NPC. For most, gold is preferred, with amounts varying from Very Low (25 by default) to Very High (500 by default). Some you can convince with skooma, some which only need a Few (1 by default), others take Many bottles (3 by default). And finally, if you find a friendly creature of the night, you can buy their affection for some Potion of Blood (1 by default). Mod workings Basic Prostitution uses factions to set up which NPC work as prostitutes, and what their price is. These factions can be assigned with SPID to any NPC in game. A SPID ini file is included in the download, which assigns a bunch of Vanilla NPC, as well as some existing mods. Prostitutes will have a new dialogue option where you can inquire about hiring them. This opening dialogue differs a bit between prostitute types, a Priestess of Dibella differs from a street whore. After the opening, you get some dialogue choices. You get to see their price, or prices if they have multiple payment types. There is an option to polity leave without hiring them. Finally, there is an option to tell them you will never hire them. This last option will block this NPC from Basic Prostitution dialogue. This option can be reversed through using the console (see debug section). If you decide to hire them, you'll pay them immediately. You get the option to start sex immediately, go find a better location, or go and find another person. The NPC will follow you until they've done their job. You can have up to 4 NPC hired at the same time. If you want to start sex with them, speak to any of them. If you just want to watch, that is also an option. Speaking with a friend, follower, or lover allows you to either share the hired prostitutes with them, or gift them and let your friend have some fun. Your relationshiprank must be at least 3 with your friend. The sex framework does not allow more than 5 NPC in a sex scene. So if you want a follower to join you, you can have at most 3 NPC hired. Afterwards, the hired NPC will return to their routine. And a tip for those looking for a five fingered discount. The gold paid is transferred to their inventory. Skooma and Potions of Blood are as well, but the NPC won't wait to use those. Default assignment and faction This section quickly goes over the factions, and which NPC is selected for which faction. Now, is this selection perfectly lore friendly and immersive? Not really, Bethesda didn't make a bunch of NPC obvious whores. But I did try to keep it believable. I'm open to suggestions on improving the default distribution. Very Low Price Faction: BP_ProstituteVeryLow default price: 30 septims Beggars are in this category. The truly destitute who need every bit of coin they can get. Low Price Faction: BP_ProstituteLow default price: 60 septims This group contains mostly people with a poorer profession living in the poorer holds. For example, there are several miners who live alone in Dawnstar, Shor's Stone, and Kynesgrove. Medium Price Faction: BP_ProstituteMid default price: 120 septims This price level is where you find professionals like tavern wenches, castle maids, a couple of bards, and Haelga. High Price Faction: BP_ProstituteHigh default price: 250 septims Not many can ask this much for loving. Only high class courtesans and bards in the wealthier settlements can. Very High Price Faction: BP_ProstituteVeryHigh default price: 500 septims Reserved for the best paid lovers in Skyrim. Such as the leader of the Temple of Dibella, or the Madam of a high class brothel. Priestess of Dibella Faction: BP_ProstitutePriestess default price: 200 septims The priestesses of Dibella don't charge money for sex, they ask "offerings" for "lessons of the Godess". In practice, it ends up being the same thing. The default price is above those of tavern wenches, but below courtesans, making them still expensive for common folk, but not completely out of reach. An NPC can have multiple price factions, the actual price charged will be the cheapest. The Priestess price is always overwritten if there's conflict. For example, Hamal is both Very High and Priestess, she will charge 500, but still get the Priestess flavor dialogue. Skooma Few Faction: BP_ProstituteSkoomaFew default amount: 1 skooma Some can be bought with just a tiny bit of skooma. This include addicts like Niluva and Wujeeta, as well as some beggars. Skooma Many Faction: BP_ProstituteSkoomaMany default amount: 3 skooma Just because someone likes skooma, doesn't mean they'll get down for just a single bottle. But if someone brings a lot of it, they'll be convinced. This group are middle class or wealthy addicts. For example, the vanilla Drifa has some suspicious dialogue, which I interpret as her being a sweet tooth. Blood Faction: BP_ProstituteBlood default amount: 1 Potion of Blood Non aggressive vampires aren't easy to find in Vanilla, but there are a couple in castle Volkihar. Buffs and debuffs (optional) Having sex with a prostitute can give you a buff from the relaxation, or you can get a disease. By default the buffs are enabled and the diseases are disabled. Check the configuration section on how to change this. Buffs There are 2 types of buffs, which each come in 3 levels of power. Which level of power you get depends on how much money you spend. Having an orgy with 4 tavern wenches can give the same bonus as hiring a world class lady. Skooma and Potions of Blood will also contribute, at a rate of twice their base price (other mods altering the price will be considered). The amount of coin needed per level of buff can be changed in the config file. Higher level buffs will overwrite lower level ones of the same type. If you use the hiree yourself, you will get a speech buff. The weakest level gives you +10 speech for 30 min, the middle level gives +10 speech for 60 min, and the highest level gives +15 speech for 60 min. These are real time minutes, not in game minutes. This buff stacks with other speech buffs, like Gift of Charity and the Dibella altar. If instead you allow your follower to have some fun, you will get a barter buff, a percentage bonus to prices. The weakest level gives +5% for 30min, the middle level gives +5% for 60 min. and the highest level gives +10% for 60 min. Again real time minutes. This buff stacks with other barter buffs, like the blessing of Zenithar and the hoods of the Thieves Guild. If you share the hiree(s) with your friend, you will get both bonuses, but the amount spend is divided between both bonuses. The default thresholds are: Low bonus: 10 septims Mid bonus: 90 septims High bonus: 370 septims So for example, using default values: Hiring a beggar (very low price) for 30 septims gives you a low bonus. Hiring a beggar and a Hydra slave (low price) at the same time will give you the mid speech bonus. The company of a tavern wench (mid price, 120 septims) will give you the mid speech bonus, but if you share her with your follower, you'll get the low speech and low barter bonus (60 each). Debuffs By default, debuffs are turned off. You must turn them on in the config file to experience them. Some prostitutes might be cheap, but is it really smart to take them? There is a chance your visit will result in an unwanted consequence, in the form of a disease. Different price classes come with different risks. The default values will only take effect once you turn on the option for debuffs. By default the cheapest options come with the worst odds. There are 6 diseases you can contract from a normal prostitute: Ataxia, Brain Rot, Droops, Rattles, Rockjoint, and Witbane, each with a 1/6 chance to be selected. Bone Break Fever is a vanilla disease that is not included, for what are obvious reasons I think. Droops is a special case, when it is selected, there is only 5% chance you will actually catch it, making this a very rare condition. This also means that even if you set the chance of selecting a disease to 100%, it will still be possible to not catch anything. The price categories are: Very Cheap (Very Low price and Few skooma, basicaly beggars), Cheap (Low price), Average (Mid price and Many skooma, so tavern wenches and addicts who still have some money), and Expensive (High and Very High price, so courtesans). Priestesses of Dibella currently don't have a chance to pass on a disease unless they are in a different faction as well. The lowest faction determines the chance. If you hire multiple, the chances are added together. Vampires are different. There is only one disease you can get from them: Sanguinare Vampiris. This will overwrite the other options for that NPC. Chances will stack if you hire multiple vampires. The default chances per NPC, assuming you turn the option on, are: Vampire: 20% Very Cheap prostitute: 10%, Cheap prostitute: 5%, Average prostitute: 3%, Expensive prostitute: 1% Chances can be changed in the config. Mods Supported These are the mods that are currently included in the default ini files. It is not required to have them, SPID will simply skip instructions for what is not installed. Immersive Wenches: All unique wenches are set to Mid Price, like vanilla wenches. The vampire wenches in that mod will accept Blood. Hydra's Slave Girls: the slaves are set to Low Price, and the NPCs named Skooma Slut will accept the smaller amount of Skooma. Hot Chicks have Hot Sisters: Varies from NPC to NPC. Those that like skooma will accept it, the vamps will take blood, and some ask for money ranging from Low to High. I didn't assign all of them to a faction. Sisterhood of Dibella: the travelling priestesses are added to the Priestess faction Mara's Embrace Riften brothel: The three prostitutes are added to Mid Price faction. This mod already had a third party plugin for sexlab or Ostim, that one is no longer required if you have Basic Prostitution. The advantage of Basic Prostitution is that it allows configuring the price, and hiring multiple at the same time. Crimson Corner Solitude Bordello: The three prostitutes are added to High Price faction, and the Madam to the Very High Price faction. This mod already had a third party plugin for sexlab or Ostim, that one is no longer required if you have Basic Prostitution. The advantage of Basic Prostitution is that it allows configuring the price, hiring multiple at the same time, and the Madam as hireable. Mod Followers optional SPID ini In the downloads you'll find an optional SPID file that selects all mod added followers and adds them to a prostitute faction. Followers can be added to a blacklist so that this file will skip them. The idea behind this is the opposite of the basic ini file. The basic ini file selects specific NPC to add (a whitelist), the optional ini selects a lot of NPC with the option to exclude NPC (a blacklist). This is convenient if you have a lot of simple follower mods and want to integrate them all at once. The Mod Followers ini will add all selected followers to the mid price faction, vampires are added to the blood faction, and living followers are added to the skooma faction. That way, if you ever update the mod, you don't accidentally lose your hard work. In the ini files, there are several command lines marked optional that are disabled by default. You can activate them by removing the semicolon ; in front of the line. There are a couple of reasons why these optional lines weren't included. Some of them use a very wide filter and can affect NPC from other mods, possibly giving a NPC unintended dialogue options. And some of these use random chance to select some NPC out of a large collection, which might not appeal to all players. The choice is yours. SPID basics Spoiler SPID files must always be of the form _DISTR.ini, placed in the data level like esp files. The basic structure of a command line is FormType = FormOrEditorID|StringFilters|FormFilters|LevelFilters|TraitFilters|CountOrPackageIndex|Chance The vertical lines are very important, SPID knows which filter is a StringFilter because it is after 1 |, and FormFilters are behind 2 total |. Fortunately, we don't need all information for this mod. For Basic Prostitution, the FormType is always Faction, and the FormOrEditorID is always one of the factions discussed above. I'll later post some explanation on how to modify a spid file for people who are new to this. All things behind the first | are optional and can be left blank. The important ones are: StringFilters: these use NPC full names, editorID, or keywords (like vampire) FormFilters: these use existing factions, races, mod name, outfit TraitFilters: Unique (U), male (M), Female (F), Child (C) Chance: percent chance that the faction will be applied to the matching NPC There are of course many more advanced ways to use it, for this I'll refer to the official guide. Adding new NPC from Vanilla If you want to add a vanilla NPC to the ini, the easiest method is using their full name. For example, if you want Lami to be Low Price prostitute, the line would be: Faction = BP_ProstituteLow|Lami Note that we don't have to write all those | if we don't want to use further filters If you want the Solitude court to be a bit more fun, you can use these lines. Note that you must use the full name: Spoiler Faction = BP_ProstituteVeryHigh|Elisif the Fair Faction = BP_ProstituteHigh|Bryling, Falk Firebeard Faction = BP_ProstituteBlood|Sybille Stentor Adding new NPC from mods Using the name of the NPC also works with mod added NPC, but it's generally more precise to specify the mod's name as well (with esp/esl/esm extention). This is very simple if you're one of those follower mods that only adds a single NPC, I'll use the Joylie follower by CarolineKoralina here. Adding her to mid price: Faction = BP_ProstituteMid||CK_Joylie_Follower.esp We didn't even need to specify Joylie's name, the line above affect every NPC in that mod and Joylie is the only one. We still needed both |. Same logic if you want to add every NPC from a follower pack, like TrustyPilot's follower pack: Faction = BP_ProstituteMid||TrustyHPFollowerPack.esp If you want more precision, you can add names. We'll make Rhaiella and Klarissa from that same TrustyPilot pack also accept skooma. Faction = BP_ProstituteMid|Rhaiella, Klarissa |TrustyHPFollowerPack.esp Note that if you use both lines, Rhaiella and Klarissa will have both the gold price and the skooma price factions. This will not result in problems. Adding new NPC from mods If you use factions or outfits, you can make a line that will apply a factions to many NPC at once, possibly over multiple mods. There are some examples of this in the optional lines in the default setup, such as: Faction = BP_ProstituteMid||ClothesTavernWenchOutfit Which makes every NPC wearing the tavern wench outfit automatically a mid price prostitute. You can combine this with percentage chances, say you want farmers to have a 30% chance to be low price prostitutes. We filter for farmer outfits. Faction = BP_ProstituteLow||FarmClothesOutfit01,FarmClothesOutfit01WithHat, FarmClothesOutfit02, FarmClothesOutfit02Variant, FarmClothesOutfit02WithHat||||30 (there are more farmers outfits, but I stopped here for brevity) Maybe you want to do this, but only apply it to female NPC. This works for female miners that are also unique: Faction = BP_ProstituteLow||MinerClothesOutfit01, MinerClothesOutfit01WithGloves, MinerClothesOutfit02, MinerClothesOutfit03||F/U||30 Working with chances Maybe you want only a part of the possible NPC to get a certain faction. SPID accepts a percentage chance. Say you want farmers to have a 30% chance to be low price prostitutes. This works for female miners that are also unique: Faction = BP_ProstituteLow||MinerClothesOutfit01, MinerClothesOutfit01WithGloves, MinerClothesOutfit02, MinerClothesOutfit03||F/U||30 Configuration, prices and framework In SKSE/Plugins/StorageUtilData/BasicProstitution you will find a config.json file that holds several settings. You can open and edit the json file with Notepad, an internet brower, or other applications (I use Notepad++). This is the default configuration: Spoiler { "int" : { "prefer ostim over sexlab" : 1, "price very low" : 30, "price low" : 60, "price mid" : 120, "price high" : 250, "price very high" : 500, "price priestess" : 200, "amount skooma few" : 1, "amount skooma many" : 3, "amount blood" : 1, "can the player get buffs" : 1, "spent coin for a low buff" : 10, "spent coin for a mid buff" : 90, "spent coin for a high buff" : 370, "can the player get debuffs" : 0, "percentage chance a vampire gives sanguinare vampiris" : 20, "percentage chance a very cheap prostitute gives a disease" : 10, "percentage chance a cheap prostitute gives a disease" : 5, "percentage chance an average prostitute gives a disease" : 3, "percentage chance an expensive prostitute gives a disease" : 1 } } "prefer ostim over sexlab" is only important if you have both Ostim and Sexlab installed. If the setting is 1, it will choose Ostim, if it is 0, it will choose Sexlab. If you only have a single framework installed, this setting does nothing as Basic Prostitution will use the installed version. The prices and amounts allow you to set how much the factions above will charge. The values must be whole numbers. "can the player get buffs" is 1 if you want buffs from hiring, and 0 if you don't. The "spent coin" options let you configure how much coin you must have spent on the prostitutes(s), you'll get the highest possible buff. Consumables (skooma and blood) are counted as being worth twice their base price. "can the player get debuffs" refers to getting diseases from prostitutes. If it is 0, all other chances are ignored and you'll never catch something. Set to 1 to enable this feature. The various percentage chances are checked per prostitute you hired, so hiring multiple does increase your chance of catching something. Vampires are NPC with the vanilla Vampire keyword. Very cheap prostitutes are those from the Very Low price or Few skooma factions, cheap is from the Low price faction, average is from the Mid price or Many skooma faction, and expensive is from the High price or Very High price factions. Only change the numbers, don't change the text or delete any comma's. Debug and console commands If for some reason, the mod is acting weirdly, there is a console command to reset its variables: setstage BP_BasicProstitutionQuest 1 This will clean all NPC from the hired roster, clear the aliases, recheck the configuration and the framework, and rewrite the global values. setstage BP_BasicProstitutionQuest 10 This will fully reset the quest, forcing it to restart. If you quickly want to add a NPC to one of the factions described above, select them in the console and: AddToFaction factionname 0 So for example, if you want an NPC to be a mid price prostitute, the command would be AddToFaction BP_ProstituteMid 0 Quickly removing a NPC from a specific faction works similar except you type -1 instead of 0 AddToFaction factionname -1 If you accidentality blocked an NPC, you can remove the block with AddToFaction BP_Ignore -1 Changing the price values through console The proper method to change the settings is by editing the config json out of game, but it is possible to change everything in game with the console if you have a need for it. Intended for advanced users. Each of the configuration settings is stored in a global value, those being: Spoiler BP_PreferOstim (must be 0 or 1) The prices in gold: BP_PriceVeryLow BP_PriceLow BP_PriceMid BP_PriceHigh BP_PriceVeryHigh BP_PricePriestess The amounts of skooma: BP_PriceSkoomaFew BP_PriceSkoomaMany The amount of Potion of Blood BP_PriceBlood You can change a global variable with the set _ to console command, for example set BP_PricePriestess to 69 Changes the amount of gold needed to pay a Priestess of Dibella to 69 septims. If you don't have PapyrusUtil installed, this is the only method to change the settings. If you do have PapyrusUtil installed, you must use the console command setstage BP_BasicProstitutionQuest 2 To save your changes to the config file. hotrack Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) Is there a magic effect added after using a prostitute, or can be added? I use jayserpa's Stress and Fear, and the old Prostitutes of Skyrim has an added magic effect that allows a de-stress effect to be added to piggyback through Keyword Item Distributor when you use a prostitute. Considering this mod's ironically more featured system (allowing multiple NPCs, allowing others to use), I might uninstall the old mod and use this one. Edited July 31 by hotrack
eflat01 Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) I was wondering if you'd consider to add npc to npc soliciting in it? Kind of like what https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22992 has. Edited July 31 by eflat01
hotrack Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Had a look in xEdit, I'm not sure if the NPC dialogue responses are voiced (I don't think they are), but would appreciate any attempt to re-make the mod's response so that they don't require a voiced response (given the wide ability to get any NPC to be assigned the prostitute faction). I use Skyrim Relationship and it uses message boxes as a response, thus avoiding the need for audio voices, so this could probably be a way to do it.

There's no magic effect at this time. Adding a small "relaxed" buff to the player is possible, maybe something similar to the The Gift of Charity. A minor speech or experience buff. Might even make the magnitude of the buff depend on how expensive the NPC was. I'll have to look into this. As for stress and fear specifically, I made a mod a long time ago that destresses the player with every Sexlab scene, I might look into bringing it up to standard and publishing it. Funnily enough, the reason I made the first version of this mod was precisely because I wanted to destress in towns. 1 hour ago, eflat01 said: I was wondering if you'd consider to add npc to npc soliciting in it? Kind of like what https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22992 has. It would be a nice immersive addition. I would need to be quite careful with this, so that I don't break anything or be annoying. I already have a config file, so that already gives me a system of customisation. No promises here, but I will check it out. 1 hour ago, hotrack said: Had a look in xEdit, I'm not sure if the NPC dialogue responses are voiced (I don't think they are), but would appreciate any attempt to re-make the mod's response so that they don't require a voiced response (given the wide ability to get any NPC to be assigned the prostitute faction). I use Skyrim Relationship and it uses message boxes as a response, thus avoiding the need for audio voices, so this could probably be a way to do it. Voices are silent at this time, Fuz ro doh is used instead to make it work. This is more a style and preference thing. I personally dislike messageboxes that pop out in the middle of dialogue, so I don't think this is how I would implement it. If I find another method I'll implement it instead. I think to make it easier, as well as let me do it myself for my own, rather than message-boxing, turn the dialogue responses to (event description text)-type lines rather than dialogues [ e.g. (The priestess is pleased with your donation) ]. Though, can someone tell me how to stop those lines being lip-synced? EDIT: NVM, just realised the "No LIP file" flag in xEdit. Good thing I just started a new game so I think I'll re-start with this mod instead. Edited July 31 by hotrack 1

a_random_user Posted August 1 Author Posted August 1 New update, version 1.1 of the main file. Should be safe to update, it worked in my tests. Run a debug console command if you're experiencing issues. Spoiler *New start system, this will allow better resetting of properties and aliasses on update. *New: Buffs and debuffs, can be modified via the config file *Hiring prostitutes can give a speech or barter buff, depending on total amount of money spent. Turned on by default. *Hiring som prostitutes (vampires, cheap, and very cheap ones) has a chance to apply a disease. Turned off by default. ***The Dragonborn disease Droops is a bit of an exception, in that it has an inherintly lower chance to be applied than all other diseases. This is due to it's vanilla implementation. *Dialogue changes: the dialogue option for where you did not have enough money/skooma/blood have been rewritten. *ini changes: *fixed Sharndra's name from Hot Chicks have Hot Sisters (was written as Shandra) *Ysolda was added to the SkoomaMany faction *Alva was added to the mid price faction, not the blood faction as she is supposed to be undercover. I added some small buffs with a magic effect, as suggested by @hotrack. Stress and fear effects can be coupled to them. There are 2 effects. The speech buff is for when the player gets to have fun. The barter buff is for when you gift your followers. The strength of the buff depends on how much coin was spent in total. If you share with your followers, you can get both buffs, but the amount spent is also divided amongst the buffs). Buffs of the same type don't stack. Buffs are enabled by default, but can be disabled in the config. You can also modify the required spending for the buffs. And while I was working on some buffs, the logical next step were debuffs, in the form of diseases. These are turned off by default, but can be turned on in the config. The chances can also be configured. If you turn them on, you can get vanilla diseases when hiring. Obviously, this will only effect sex started through this mod, and you won't get affected if you don't participate in the physical act. Vampires can give Sanguinare Vampiris (default 20% chance), all other prostitutes can give vanilla diseases. Bone Break Fever was excluded. Droops is a bit of a special case, because even if it is selected by my mod, it still has only 5% chance to infect, so even if you crank chances to 100%, there is a chance you don't catch anything because the vanilla behaviour of droops. 1

a_random_user Posted August 2 Author Posted August 2 (edited) 6 hours ago, Turkishbambino said: my dumb ass cant get ot to work i have all the requiremenets but ii dont get the chat options Dialogue not showing up can be a couple of things. A faction problem, a quest running problem, or something interfering. Which NPC are you checking, vanilla NPC or mod added NPC or both? Do they have the right factions? Easiest way to check is with More Informative Console, select them and see if they have them. They'll be called Basic .... prostitute or similar, and usually quite high on the list. Also check if they somehow are in the ignore faction. You can also select them and type GetFactionRank BP_ProstituteMid or the other faction names and see if they have the faction you expect them to have. The More Informative Console method is much easier than manually checking each faction. You can also check if the quest is running correctly, type in the console sqv BP_BasicProstitutionQuest check what the current stage is and see if the quest is running. If it is not running or stopped, setstage BP_BasicProstitutionQuest 0 can start it. If you are uncertain, there is no harm in trying it. You can run the sqv command afterwards to check if something changed. Also, when first installing it, there is a ~30 second delay on it fully starting. Edited August 2 by a_random_user

You mention it doesn't work with the latest file. Did you have an earlier version which did work? Was this on an existing save or a new save. Do you have Ostim Standalone or a different version? Do you have only Ostim or do you have Ostim+Sexlab? Is Ostim running with different mods starting it? Do you have animations for the combination that you're trying? If that's not enough setstage BP_BasicProstitutionQuest 10 will force the entire system to reset. Give a few seconds after that one and try again. If none of the above work, you'll need to check the quest status with the console command sqv BP_BasicProstitutionQuest This will print a bunch of script properties and aliases. You can scroll up and down with the Page Up and Page Down buttons on your keyboard. There are 5 aliases, one is the player and should be filled (it will show a number, 00000014). The other 4 will only be filled if you have hired someone in that slot, otherwise they will be None. From the list of properties, all of them should be filled. If you don't have Sexlab installed, that one property will be None. If any other properties are None, let me know. In the lack of properties, find the property useOstim, it should be True. It still worked for me, tested on the miner girls in Dawnstar. That means it's not a fundamental script issue. Another thing I checked is if I had any scripts that weren't packed in the Basic Prostitution folder, but all necessary scripts are there. Is the money still paid? If the money isn't taken from your inventory, that means the dialogue script itself is failing to run. I've heard of that with other mods, but never been able to replicate it. I've seen 2 things that can help this. First is to reinstall the mod from the downloaded 7z file. In MO2, that's right click the mod, and select reinstall mod, and replace. I'm not sure how Vortex handles it, but I'm sure it has a similar function. Sometimes, something simply goes wrong with the download and this fixes it. That doesn't happen often, but I've personally had it fix weird bugs before, so it's worth a shot. Another option is Papyrus Tweaks NG. Dialogue scripts could be jammed because other mods are overloading the papyrus engine, Papyrus Tweaks allows a lot more resources for the engine. This mod will create an ini file once you start the game with it loaded. Customise it to your preference, but I recommend this; iMaxOpsPerFrame = 1000 or higher. Vanilla Skyrim has it set to 100, the Papyrus Tweaks brings it to 500, I recommend setting it to 1000 or higher. I have it set to 1600 on my 6 year old PC. bSpeedUpNativeCalls = true it's labeled experimental, but I noticed a great increase in speed once I changed this. Speeding up can also result in scripts running better as they don't compete with each other anymore. bIgnoreMemoryLimit = true If scripts are taking more memory than the vanilla allowed limit, Skyrim just stops processing them. This setting makes it so it will use more memory if needed. Recommend you also have Recursion Monitor installed. If the money is paid, but the scene isn't starting, there is an issue with Ostim starting itself. The Papyrus tweaks settings above could also help here. A reinstall of Ostim Standalone is another thing to try (low chance to work, but doesn't cost a lot of effort. Don't forget to rerun Pandora afterwards). Another easier thing to try is to update or reinstall all requirements (PapyrusUtils (also hard required for this mod if using Ostim), PO3 Papyrus extender, PO3 Tweaks, UIExtensions, ...). You can also check the Papyrus log for errors, here's a guide on how to enable and find them: Reading Papyrus Logs by Traison If all else fails, you can try a minimal mod profile. A profile with only the bare minimum requirements, and see if the mod works there. If it does, enable your other mods until you find the one that's interfering. Best with a binary search, where you turn half on, and keep turning half on until you encounter the issue, and then turn half of what you just turned on back off, and so on until you find the issue. I'll continue to test things out on my end, see if I can replicate the problem. Edit: you can also try this version: Basic Prostitution for NPC v1.1.1_.7z, I've recompiled all scripts from it. NPC - NPC interaction is something I'm thinking about implementing, though I'm not yet sure what type of implementation I'd use. It would be an optional component that can be turned off for people who dislike it. I'm curious about your opinion on the following subjects on the design: *Location: inns are a logical place, but should other locations also be possible? Seeing soliciting on the streets, in shops, ... The thing I worry about is that if I make the location filter to broad, it will start getting annoying or start interfering with other things. *the prostitutes: would every NPC that's in a prostitute faction work with NPC-NPC interaction, or should a secondary faction be added so a controlled subjection can be chosen for this interaction? *the johns: should the people hiring prostitutes just be those walking nearby, or do I make a faction filter for them as well? This faction filter could be used to make sure that the NPC here make sense. For example, set Hemming Blackbriar that he will hire prostitutes, but Maramal won't. I definitely would have to make an option for which type of interactions can happen (MF, FM, FF, MM). Larger groups will have to wait until the system works. *Dialogue: would the NPC need to talk to each other (silent dialogue) or do they just jump to the act? *Moving: if 2 NPC are selected, should they move to a sheltered location, or let the framework handle it on the spot? This is actually the part where I don't know how to implement it yet. I could detect a nearby bed and have them move there before starting the scene, which can work in an inn, but is harder if I allow the system to work outdoors. With NPC - NPC scenes, the framework itself could also move the NPC. I know Sexlab Utility + has this function, I don't know if P+ has that option. I did notice Ostim also often moves the NPC a distance away, so maybe I should just start the scene and have the framework handle the location? This is going to be the most difficult part to implement and test, I think. *Frequency. It's easy to have the selection happen once when you enter the door, but that will feel very artificial. I could instead have the system do a random roll every x amount of time. I would have a lot of testing to find a balanced preset for this, not constant, but frequent enough that it's visible. I haven't implemented anything yet, but I could this in the future. I'm always interested in feedback.

I haven't implemented anything yet, but I could this in the future. I'm always interested in feedback. These are good ideas. For location, I'd start with just getting it to fire anywhere, then add options for indoors only, night time only, etc. I'm not sure how to get NPCs to look for a secluded place, but I do know other mods do that, so you may be able to find inspiration from them. Also prevent NPCs that are engaged in scripted events from participating to avoid breaking things. Like Jarl Balgruf just deciding it's time to find a maid while chatting about the recent dragon sightings with the PC (as funny as that might be, tbh). A second faction for the prostitutes also makes a lot of sense, that way the original factions are only needed for when the player is engaging the NPC. The other faction can be a generic "LooksForNPCBuyersFaction" or something. This would also make it so not every prostitute has to be part of the secondary system. I think a faction idea for the johns and janes is the best idea, something like "PaysForNPCSexFaction" to make it clear they are a buyer, especially if we can assign them ourselves the same way. That would make it easy for mod added NPCs and followers to engage too. Mods like Keyword Item Distributor would make adding those factions pretty easy. Maybe an option to turn on or off the faction check so prostitutes will engage with anyone (ignoring the faction check for "PaysForNPCSexFaction" or whatever you decide to name it) and an option to turn on faction interactions only. Also things like a GuardFaction check to include or exclude guards is definitely needed, since guards are generic NPCs like bandits. Dialogue between the NPCs could definitely add a layer of immersion, but is probably a lot of work. You could also just add a notification or something like "Jon Battle-born and Saadia are looking for a quiet place..." kinda of like the way Sexlab Aroused Creatures handles it. Having NPCs look for a semi-secluded space when outdoors would be a nice touch for sure, I'd say indoors would maybe depend on the establishment. Inns and homes could be considered "secluded" so you'd see public sex on display in the main areas, but places like shops or guild halls could be done individually. I'd imagine the Hall of the Companions being much like an inn but Dragonsreach being more reserved (on the surface at least). I'd let Ostim or Sexlab handle the furniture choices in case of nearby beds. And for frequency I'd definitely prevent it from searching again for a bit after a successful scene so it doesn't just fire repeatedly. Honestly, it may even be best to separate this idea into a new mod of its own, that way it is completely optional. One mod specifically for PC interactions and another mod that handles NPC only interactions. I don't know how to do any of the scripting related stuff, my knowledge ends with applying factions, haha. I should probably learn, since I have another idea for Followers I'd like to see. That one is even simpler, basically just an arousal check followed by the follower starting a scene with my player, the idea being a consensual free-use arrangement. 1
hotrack Posted Wednesday at 10:19 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:19 AM (edited) I STILL haven't actually played this mod in game, but I noticed that the Sexlab function callup in the script is SexLab.Quickstart without animation tag filtering. While it is quite simple, I was hoping to at least exclude animations by specific tags, as opposed to using specific tags to avoid anims (I have Bound,BigGuy tagged anims that without script filtering, can end up in incongruous uses if mods don't have a filtering system). StuffedNinga Posted Thursday at 04:44 PM Posted Thursday at 04:44 PM Oh, simple and clean, I like it! Could we perhaps get random applicable combat buffs? Say +35 to health, stamina, or magicka or to a skill depending on the sex act or prostitute? I kind of like the idea of having sex right before leaving town and having a good reason to do so. And being potentially random, having sex with multiple people before leaving town is better! 1

I like the idea how it uses factions like Romance of NPCS does. Thing is I'd like to see it have npc/npc and npc/pc soliciting (force greets) like the mod I mentioned for the immersion of it - iow the PC should not be the only one interested. It's more of a question of design really but I would had thought to use a single faction and it's rank would means for pricing or possibly be in how open a working gal would take an offer? Factions make things simple and and easily manipulated... i.e. SL Aroused and OSL Aroused use a faction for arousal - sla_Arousal - and the rank is actually the npc's/pc's arousal level.
