Enslaved by Thalmor - A Player Slavery Mod

Backstory: 

 

Officially the Thalmor and the Empire is at peace. But in the shadows there is a rogue Thalmor faction, working in secret to prepare for war against the Empire. In order to do this they not only need manpower, but they also require weapons and armor, and in order to produce this for their army they need slaves working in their mines. This is where the player comes into play as one way or another they will end up as a slave. 

 

 

Right with that short backstory out of the way, let me explain what my mod is and what you can expect from it. 

First let me say this is my first attempt at a serious mod on a scale this large and I have been working on it for the last 4 months or so.

 

So if things is weird I apologize in advance. 

Anyways let's start with the mods locations first: There is a random encounter location to start the mod, there is a mine and there is a mansion.

 

In total my mod has 4 stages, that takes place in the following locations:

 

Mine

 

- Mining Ore

- Crafting Elven Armor

- Maid/Servant 

 

Mansion

 

- Maid/Personal Slave

 

In total with the current settings, which can all be adjusted through my simple MCM menu, the mod will take around 2 hours to complete.

 

How to start the mod

 

If you look above Solitude you will see a new map marker that says "Thalmor Random Encounter", go there and a scene will start.

It will have different outcomes but all routes lead to the mine.

 

Disclaimer: For controlling the scenes player control is always disabled, I have tested thoroughly that player controls are enabled after scenes, however in the case you were to get stuck you can use a failsafe in the mcm menu.  

 

FAQ

 

Can I play with followers?

 

I would highly recommend not to use followers.

 

Can I play any race?

 

You can play any race. I am working on an Altmer only path where you can join the Thalmor as a guard.

 

Is the mod voiced?

 

Yes it is using XVaSynth with about 80+ voice lines with .fuz files for lip syncing.

 

Disclaimer: I am going to be honest and say the voice acting isn't great. I have never used the program before and I couldn't figure out how to work the sliders to make npc's have emotion like fear, sadness or anger or how to train the AI.

 

So if anyone out there who has knowlegde about the program and want to give it a try making the voice acting sound better, I have attached the sound files as a separate download which includes wav files and jsons.

 

I would be extremely grateful and I would credit this person.

But for now you have to live with the acting.

 

Does this mod have an MCM Menu?

 

Yes it does. It's a simple one but it contains everything you need to be able to control most aspects of the mod.

 

Installation requirements

 

- Sexlab (Hard requirement)

 

Optional integration

 

- Simple Slavery (If you have it you can be sold as a slave)

    Highly recommended to install after Helgen. Testing has shown Helgen messes up things with my mod like missing assets.

     

    Other then that the mod only requires Sexlab to function.

    It also has a soft integration with Simple Slavery, if you have it installed you can enable Simple Slavery Outcome. 

     

    Disclaimer: I cannot account for any other mod that may interfer with my mod or uses the same areas that my mod uses.

    When playtesting to make sure everything worked as it should it was done with very few mods.

I’m so glad this isn’t related to the mod I’m working on and that the titles don’t match. Most importantly, the concept is different—which I’m also happy about, since it means I won’t have to write a new script.😁

I see that this faction is finally getting a close look—it’s underrated.

That's nice to hear that you don't have to rewrite your scripts, or change title. :) I already had to do this once as for a fun fact my mod was orginally called Captured by Thalmor in early development. This was until I came across the other mod with the same name, and I quickly changed the name to avoid confusion.

 

But it also ment I had to rewrite many of my scripts. Yeah I feel also the Thalmor faction is lacking that's why I decided to use them in my mod instead of using the Stormcloak or the Empire, I also feel like this is something the Thalmor would be doing.

Initially I had to do a double take, got it confused with the other Thalmor mod, "Captured by the Thalmor"

 

Fun fact my mod was orginally called Captured by Thalmor in early development. I only changed it when I came across the other mod to avoid confusion.

I wish there was an option to play as an altmer, not all altmers are thalmor nor want anything to do with their nonsense. lore wise if anything the thalmor are *way worse* to altmer that "consort" with other races.

Well I actually don't mind changing it back so you can play as an Altmer if this is something people desire. It's an easy and quick fix.

What I had in mind by blocking it was it didn't make sense to me getting enslaved as an Almer, but I don't mind if people want it. I

want as many people as possible to enjoy my mod, so I don't want to block someone out.

 

I will still make the alternative Altmer route, so you will have more options then. I will upload a modified version shortly.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the third phase at the mansion. I'm supposed to serve drinks, but no one takes them. There's no dialogue option. What's the mod tag? EBT?

Wasn't my intent really, was more disappointed cause I was like "oo new mod" but my character couldn't partake. But yeah Thalmor are really quite terrible to altmer not acting "pure" enough (their lines even in game say things like you're a disgrace to their entire *race*, implying you should just die), so if anything they'd probably be worse to altmers and elves in general who arnt going full racial ultranationalist like they are lol.

Thanks for being willing to alter that though ❤️

No no it's fine. Long time since I played as a High Elf so I forgot how the Thalmor threats them. Anyways new version is up :)

Yeah sorry about the confusion, some things are named EBT and other's CBT. The CBT stuff lingers from when I used the Captured by Thalmor name. Anyways for the mansion phase the bartender is suppose to give you the drinks and food,  you need when you get task 1 and 5. Let me know you still have trouble.

Dare I say, it would make sense, that is if you play as an Altmer who goes against the plans and wishes of the Thalmor. There is an Altmer Legate in the Rift, and he tells you that during the Night of Green Fire during the Great War, the Thalmor massacred a group of Altmer dissident refugees in Hammerfell, and I think some of them were family. Ever since, he's been fighting for the effort to reduce the threat of the Thalmor. Fortunately for us, the Elder Scrolls Lore is vast and complex enough to not be considered black and white.

The ending took me by surprise. Seriously, they wanted to kill us? I was expecting something weirder. Well, things will be different in my mod—we’ll be showing our love for the Thalmor and slavery in all its glory. Throw the weak overboard.

So, it turns out players’ are willing to serve Daedra, all sorts of bandits, and vampires, but not the Altmer. That’s not right.😆

Well it's what I came up, I didn't really have any other brilliant idea how to end the mod.  

Your mod idea sounds cool, I will be sure to test it out once/if you release it :)

I cannot verify if Simple Slavery ++ will actually trigger this or not, but it does not show in the SS++ MCM Menu as an option for me.  Is it supposed to?

 

I have the option checked in your MCM for the Simple Slavery outcome.

Awesome! Thanks much for making this. Thalmor content is rare and yours sounds very intriguing! My current char is way too high level to get enslaved, but I'll defintely add this to my next game... or start a new 2nd game so that I can get to it quicker. :)

It won't happen anytime soon, but I'll try to get at least an alpha version ready before the New Year.

Based on what I’ve planned, I’ll have to build a location within a location, because a huge amount of space will be required. Let's see how it goes; this will be a first for me, too.😀

I have the option checked in your MCM for the Simple Slavery outcome.

 

It will not show anything in the SS+ MCM Menu, as my mod only send you SS+ as an option not the other way around.

But as long as my MCM find detect you have Simple Slavery, and you have checked it will be an outcome. I have tested it before I uploade and it works.

 

Though there is only currently 2 places in my mod where SS is an outcome, one is at the end of the mod and the other is a bit more hidden.

Thank you :). You can still get enslaved on your high level char if you want to test it, the enemies scale to your level and some like bosses even x2.

But even if you don't lose the very first encounter, the mod will still send you the mine and let's just say I setup a way inside there to make sure you still end up as a slave.

 

Or you could also just use the mcm menu to skip straight to the mine (stage 20).
