pinky6225 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 As i recall you need to load skyrim via steam one time (either to the menu page or just the launcher start) to have the correct entries in your registry for FNIS to see skyrim version. my FNIS has skyrim version number FNIS Behavior V4.1.1 04/02/2014 14:49:07Skyrim: 1.9.32.0 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim (Steam) Also where is your FNIS installed? mine is at Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users There's a guide on how to install it here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19342-guide-how-to-install-fnis-properly/

visby Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Most likely Groovtama got it but I get this issue if I make a copy of my Mod Organizer install and don't update the file path for FNIS generator. Also as a side note I never install programs I intend to mod in the programs directory it just as another possible failure level.
addym Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 How do i re-correct the registrery data?
CGi Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Start the game thru steam, which will start the original launcher, which then again should fix the reg entries.
addym Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 It would be good if i could get some screen shots in where you place the FNIS and SKSE base Files so it works, since i place them into the Data it gives the error
CGi Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 SKSE goes into the games base dir. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" in your case. FNiS does into the games data dir, where you navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\Tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users" and use "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe" everytime you install or uninstall a mod that utilizes FNiS (what you already know, but this way you can see the path).
addym Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Since i have C:\Program Files (x86)\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\ then i need to put FNIS Behavior 4.1.1 into tools for a file i can create
CGi Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 You did what?if you downloaded FNiS from the official source (Nexus), the archive contains the proper paths, so all you need to do is extract everything that's inside "FNIS Behavior V4_1_1 -- ALWAYS necessary-11811-4-1-1.7z\FNIS Behavior 4.1.1\Data\" into the data folder.
gvman3670 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 The FNIS files themselves should go into the data folder. And inside the data folder there should be a folder called "tools", and that's where the two FNIS behavior generator tools should be. You can then run the generator as an executable from MO.
