Plaguetard Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 So while I love Submit I was looking to do something more and missed certain aspects of Defeat. Also I was looking at doing something more immersive. So I actually started to dabble at modding something on the scope of Defeat and Submit, and alas... I am not at that skill level. HOWEVER, I was looking at mods on Nexus, and came across an alternative death mod called "Death Alternative - Your money or your live." So I started wondering if during the "Bleed Out" phase of this mod, if Defeat would kick in as well. After 20 different tests including bandits, wolves, necromancers, and even giants, the two mods together work like this. 1. You lose, PC gets raped just before bleed out starts, after rape, I use consequences and knock my health down to 5% after being victim, which means on next hit, you begin bleed out. If you survive bleed out, you are weakened but have a chance to escape. If you don't make it, it is possible to get a second rape on the PC, and then bleed out again and you "Die", which is where you wake up weakened with various affects and quests coming up. I thought I'd share as I found the two mods (3 if you count consequences) bring another highly immersive (at least in my opinion) aspect to the game. So yeah... there ya go. Hope some enjoy, didn't want to keep the combo to myself.
Guest Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I tried this combo last month,it didn't end well,when I activated submit,I got a crash,and the alternative death mod caused unable to trigger defeat mod,at the end of the day,none of them worked properly,so I ended up with uninstalling submit and alternative death.

Plaguetard Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 I didnt combine anything, I lack the talent at this point for that. I am just running defeat and that other mod together. Havent had any issues yet, but I didnt try it with submit, just defeat.
gooser Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Thanks, good to know. The nexus mod seems to be pretty reliable from what I've seen (on the YT video). It doesn't have a bind option, just steal your stuff, etc., right?
Ashra XIII Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Right, Submit and Your Money or Your Life are not going to work together because they are both 'death alternative' mods. At least, Submit is if you turn on auto surrender, which you don't have to do if you just want to use Submit for the dialogue, player aggression, manual surrender, or some combination of those. Defeat is not a death alternative mod at all... it's just a combat rape mod. After the rape, combat continues as before, only now the player is weaker (usually with a stamina penalty + slow debuff, configurable in the menu) so I could see it working with YMoYL. At least, they shouldn't conflict, and getting knocked down by Defeat is probably going to speed you towards having the other mod activate. Your Money or Your Life does seem like a pretty cool mod with some neat ideas, but it's just asking for a Sexlab integration mod (in the way that Submit and Devious Devices were integrated) which adds some rapey goodness to the various scenarios.
gooser Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Funny I've always used SexLab Util1 with Defeat to cast a calm on the aggressor at the end of rape, so it did become a death alternative.

Plaguetard Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Sorry, but yeah Ashra is right, I didn't use Submit at all. I used to use submit, but when my PC had like 10 attackers (I use a lot of mods that add spawn) it took so long getting through all the scenes and it got old. Also I found it odd that when bound and gagged by a roaming bandit patrol, they just kept roaming and left the PC on the side of the road, but when they got out of range and I attempted to escape they suddenly noticed and teleported back. Anyways, this led me back towards Defeat, which was the initial mod I used but I wanted more immersion. The only conflict I've had running these two, is if my PC gets one shotted, typically rape doesn't happen, but all in all that is pretty accurate. Once or twice a group of bandits decided to kill the PC instead of using her first, but again, that could actually happen, so I feel the immersion aspect of these two mods are good together. I hate reloading on death, as its like a "do over" and you can just keep trying until you get that scenario right. I'd rather have in my game that if I lose, I have to retreat and lick my wounds, it has caused my PC to whore herself out a few times to get money for equipment and wait to heal. Anyways... if you try it out, I hope you enjoy it. I'd been playing with it for a week, and decided after it seemed to be working very smoothly that I would share it with the community for those who are looking for something different. I am slowly learning to mod, so perhaps one day I will figure out how to create a fantastic mod like so many of the mod authors on here have done.

I've talked with the author of said mod and he's planning to add another potential trigger right after going to the bleedout state (so after you've lost all your HPs). This mods seems to be the perfect place to include an immersive "combat" rape mod into, and I'll give it a try once SLC is at a decent level.

He's implement the bleedout "overdraft" pool similar to SD/SD+. I think that is one reliably way to implement the knockdown state without incurring "moral wounds". I'm still annoyed that I still die quite a bit with single-shots using Submit/Auto-Surrender/DeathProof
