The (justified) hate for art-stealing AI completely blinds people from the things AI is actually good and helpful at. 

Like automating repetitive tasks. Like replacing hundreds of sprites with a new artstyle. 

So yes this here is a prime example where AI could actually help with the progress.

I still think every sprite should be hand-drawn, just out of respect for the game Team Cherry made for us fans, drawing every asset in the game by hand themselves.

I mean sure, but that requires someone to actually want to redraw the myriad of sprites by hand. That's a LOT of work for what amounts to a stick figure with tits.

Maybe someone will eventually, who knows. But until then, there are other options.

I think you doubt the dedication of horny gamers, lol. I've seen it done for SOR4, TMNT, Sonic Mania, and even River City Girls, all of which have an enormous amount of sprites for each character.

Alright folks, help me out. I downloaded the essentials for making mods work (BepInEx and Sliksong Customizer), but I still have no option for switching skins.

Yeah, the current nsfw mods are for a specific point in the game (where Hornet cloakless cln is used). If you’re at that point and they still aren’t working, it might be a good idea to try a mod for the entire character (for example the cute Hornet mod) to see if it works. Mods like this use multiple cln’s, but it looks like you can easily implement sprites by replacing the atlas on their respective cln

(for context, cln’s are the folders that each atlas (spritesheet) is in for certain actions. For example, HUD cln is a folder that only does things relating to the HUD, and inside that folder will be a spritesheet for said HUD. Spritesheets are obviously different per cln, so if you move a spritesheet to a different cln, expect things to bug out a little.)

In summary, we don’t have a full nude Hornet mod out there yet, but under certain circumstances (if you know, you know), the mod should be working fine.

Also, to my knowledge there is no current way to switch skins without manually replacing the files in your mods folder, since it’s replacing the sprites.

I remember there being a mod on Nexus that allows you to equip the "Unarmed Crest" with a button press, so that could be another way to test mods.

I eagerly await a skimpier-clad hornet with thickness. Keep doing the lord's work. Esp something like her cloak being shortened to only mostly cover her chest like a loose crop top in a sense, flitting up anytime her cloak normally does. I bet it would be a good mix between lewd and functional, for the feeling of her being naked all the time doesn't narratively track, especially with some of her power-ups.

Honestly I'd be happy with just a "peekaboo" mod that only changes the sprites that show what's under the cloak. Just give Hornet a fat ass, thicc thighs, and some underboob in the upskirt sprits and we're golden.

So far as i can tell, theres only about 77 sprites left to do over this sheet, and alot of the poses of hornet herself are already there it would just be the cloak adjustments, great work, i would take it up if i had the attention span.
