Hollow Knight Silksong nude mods

Haha, release date confirmed and since I'm a degenerate, I'm making this before anyone else could. Anyways, hope someone can make mods for this game. (yes, I'm posting the biblically accurate nude Hornet with this)

Seconded,  Hornet's sexy as is she doesn't need curves. Is Hollow Knight's sprite format, the first game, simply a cloth rig over their bodies or will someone need to physically redraw each sprite?

I do want genitals on the hornet, would be cool to have different proportions but considering the game is made using sprites that's alot of work so my guess is people are gonna make only one version.

It's why I asked how is Hollow Knight 1's sprites are set up so we can have an idea of what to expect from silskong likely. Are all of the guy's sprites just typical sprites that would have to be redrawn by hand?

To be honest, not for a long time. Considering this is a sprite based game modders would have to manually change the spritesheet of Hornet which I assume is alot more of a hassle than just changing a 3d model. But if I know one thing, it's that if people really want something, it'll eventually be made.

So I saw somewhere on Twitter that there was a nude mod (basically just removes her cloak, so no bits) there was no download link or any site I could find it on. Sorry folks.

You know this would actually be cool to implement when you die, since you could argue Hornet's cloak stays with her shell. To get it back you'd have to break the silk thing.

I would agree though as someone who is currently playing it, the cloak is part of the abilities. so you would need it to do said ability

i know but a mode where she is cloak-less permanently would still be nice.

 

i cannot imagine it would be hard to import from the game itself and make it more permanent. or even just a like toggle of sprite replacement.

 

like hornet is already peak as is.

 

but removing the cloak would still be a nice touch.

There is an optional section of the game where Hornet is imprisoned and someone steals her cloak. Maybe that's what you saw?

I'm not wrong when I mentioned in another thread how R34 often have these noodle-shaped characters have curvy humanoid bodies than matching their canonically cute proportions. For me though, I'm content in just seeing the biblically accurate Hornet having a visible slit or something.

Decided to take a look into what it might take - but it would be an absolutely massive undertaking. There's like, 9 shared sheets of sprites that are about quadruple the size of the first game's spritesheet for the protagonist. Spoiling the next part because of mechanics new to silksong,

All the crests have their own bundles with their own textures as well, magnifying it even more.

 

They obviously contain some spoilers, so I don't recommend checking it out if you haven't gotten through the game yet, but if you're curious, you can find most of the sprites by searching "hero" in the streamingassets area to find all the bundle files pertaining to Hornet's sprites, though there's a non-zero chance there's more under a different name.

Not going to say it's impossible to accomplish, but it'd probably take a team of people that are quite dedicated to it. Makes sense why silksong took so long.

 

Edit: Throwing one of those sheets here as an example, mostly movement and no skills, so shouldn't be too spoilery. This is around the middle, some of the sheets have less sprites, others have even more sprites.
