I've never made a custom weapon, especially one with a unique effect (taking a screenshot without the camera's UI interface). In principle, I understand that a camera can be made as a weapon that shoots invisible bullets, which, when hitting invisible areas, can change quest stages like with a camera in New Vegas. But I'm unlikely to be able to do this, I need an additional modder who knows how to do it.
By the way, Sim Settlement 2 has a really working camera that you can use to take pictures of clothes on NPCs and then buy them from a tailor.

 And so thanks for the interesting quest. 
 It just seems to me that it would be an interesting idea for a mod. A fully functional camera in the game. Photographic film can be made in a chemical laboratory using the ingredients silver, plastic, glue. Plus a fully functional photo lab with the ability to develop films, print photos. A dark room, a red photo lamp. And of course a photo studio.
  All this is so, just ideas.

Unfortunately, there is no such mod yet. Something close: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24435?tab=description
  The main idea is to recreate the long-forgotten process of analog photography in the game. The idea of the mod corresponds to the lore of the game and is in harmony with such game mechanics as construction and production of any things from junk. Construction of a photo studio and a dark room from the menu in the workbench. Production of photo cameras from junk, 3D models of which are present in real life, as well as accessories such as interchangeable lenses, exposure meters, flashes, light filters, etc.
  It is also possible to recreate underwater cameras. It is possible to animate the process of film development and photo printing. I myself will hardly be able to do something similar. But maybe someone more talented than me will be interested.
By the way, if anyone is interested, the game has a real photo camera.

How much of a blackmail component will there be for this mod? 

EDIT: Can there be photos of my character getting spread as part of a mission, and/or the threat of them being distributed?

Your character? I doubt it, because remember that the character in the photo is pre-prepared, so this also applies to PCs. As a result, it will look different in the photo than your character. The same goes for NPCs. If you use any replacement for an NPC, it will look different in the photo and different in your game.

For sure, but a piece of paper with your %name% on it and a description of how naughty you are would be fine.

EDIT: The real value would come from being confronted about it by NPCs and harassed.

This mod is also published on Nexus, so extremely low. But it fits my mod Problems of Survivor.

You can make three selfies without a face, only with a body of different skin tones. Although there are also different body types like fat, skinny and muscular.

1024x1024 however, the width is stretched from approximately 800 to 1024, otherwise it may (but does not have to) cause CTD (as was the case with me). You also need to leave a margin of about 10 pixels on each side, otherwise it will be slightly cropped, as is the case with your hand and foot.

It is also best to create a border layer, with the centre as the target, and adjust it to fit the frame in the game without cutting off limbs or the head.

 

The border is similar the same width as in instant photos.

I think that would be fine. Especially if someone has a mod for searching by name. So they could type FA or [FA]. Please consider this request.

It looks like this mod still has updates planned. Will the updates be safe for existing saves, or will I need to start a new save each time? I wanted to ask because if a new save is required for every update, I might wait a little longer before starting.

No new save is required. If this is required, the information will be used, but usually clearing the save with the appropriate programme will allow you to keep your progress.

Update (Only if you upgrade after 1.2+):
1) Create an item in Chemistry station -> Utility -> Forgotten Art Uninstaller
2) Use the Forgotten Art Uninstaller item
3) Save the game
4) Install new version the mod in Vortex/NMM/MO2
5) PROFIT!

Uninstallation:
1) Remove all paintings from the settlement added by this mod.
2) Create an item in Chemistry station -> Utility -> Forgotten Art Uninstaller
3) Use the Forgotten Art Uninstaller item
4) Save the game
5) Deinstall the mod in Vortex/NMM/MO2
6) PROFIT!

So, I have wanted to use this mod. Spoken to Eliza and she has I said I wanted to get a camera - she has asked me to get the components. Quest markers appeared - have returned to her but don't get the option to fix a camera - do I need to have a camera as well?

You need 2 crystals, 2 gears, 2 springs and 100 caps. That is, it is not a repair, but rather the assembly of a new camera from camera components.

Old, but I have converted the BA2 file that was suggested using the BA2 Archive Version Patcher
