[Answered] Real Flying vs AE

Hi there,

 

does anyone know if the Real Flying mod should work on AE? In my current attempts my character can't maintain any height, falls down immediately. I used this mod for years with Player Succubus Quest and Animated Dragon Wings, never had any issues on SE.

If it has a DLL and it hasn't been updated to the version of the game you have (exe version, AE/SE marketing words won't do) it won't work. I see that mod has been hidden for almost 2 years. Unless you find another updated DLL there's not much you can do about it. Maybe look for more modern alternatives or downgrade your game, SKSE and all your SKSE plugins to keep using the latest Real Flying version out there.

Thank you for the answer, I forgot about the .dll. Unfortunately I could not find an updated dll and the current flying solutions feel a bit clunky (need to use hotkey/spells, using tcl to fly). I will still try them, hopefully they are good.

 

I copied my SE installation to a new folder before updating to AE, so I have a working SE at the moment. I moved to AE a few weeks ago because I started seeing mods not supporting SE any more and I felt it is time. Now I have the opposite problem.

Have you tried Flying mod rework file on the Animated Wings Ultimate page. Not sure it will work though...

According to Nexus, I downloaded it in 2020, but it was not among my installed mods, I don't remember why it didn't make it. Also, currently I'm looking for a standalone solution, maybe that's why I did not use it in 2020 too.

 

Player Succubus Quest uses the Animated Dragon Wings (a predecessor of the above mod) for transformation into succubus and also uses Real Flying to make her able to fly when transformed. Now the flying part is not working of course, so I'm just looking for that, but I'll experiment with these other flying mods later only, I don't want to disturb my current LO with new mods.

late to the party, and yes I read the last post about not wanting to upset OP's load order, I use Flying Mod Beta.

 

?Maybe/Maybe not? THE most graceful flying (two poses during flight, prone for fast and for vertical ascent, and a one knee forward pose - kinda like side-saddle on a horse - for slow flight) but it works under "AE" 1.6.1170 just fine.

 

It operates with a shout toggle. Can cost manna/stamina/etc or not player choice via popup config. a few other minor options, including an "exhaust" option (can trail various visual effects in your wake). Does not provide wings or other ornaments.
