I understood that the gold value is only checked for sacks, barrels etc, but it seems that every dead actor is checked, too. Would be nice if there's a toggle for humanoid 'containers' to always be valid, or the gold limit down to 5GS - none of them buggers carried enough to trigger the 10GS threshold. The gold value checked adds up the total value of all items that the NPC is carrying, not just the gold on them, so they should be triggering events. Can you send over the log file so I can also take a look?

No logfile from me, because it overwrites every time I open the game, that's been way too long in the past (yesterday, ha!) Just a question: is it wanted behaviour that lewd marks get overwritten when the next one triggers? It was a bondage mark again, so more or less only a counter reset.

gamer098 Posted May 26, 2025 Posted May 26, 2025 Been trying out this mod for some time now. Here's some of my feedback. Loving the ability to configure themes with the & | operators. The inability to sufficiently customize the types of devices equipped by mods is something that frequently drives me away from them. Sometimes I put up with saving & reloading to get something more up my alley, but it's a huge breath of fresh air to finally not have to do that. The Container Gold Value feature seems to break corpses triggering events. With it set to the default value of 20, corpses are never triggering events, even with the base chance maxed out. The corpse I tested on does have sufficient gold value, the fur armor alone is 50. I tried using the console to add 1000 gold to the corpse before looting it too. As soon as I set Container Gold Value to 0, it immediately starts working. At one point Consequences from talking to NPCs was working, but now it's not. I'm not sure what changed. I tried setting the nude % to 100 and talking to a bunch of NPCs while nude and nothing happened. The bondage mark feels a bit underwhelming. I think if it created a device out of nothing instead of requiring devices in the inventory it would be a bit more impactful. Right now, I can just immediately drop everything and it's as if I don't have the mark at all. Or, maybe it could transform certain simple worn clothing items or armor into devices? serph90 Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 would be great if when a guard sees you tied to a forniture caused by this mod, he would arrest you (since most of those traps activate when you try to open locked chests, if there are guards nearby, you were probably straling)

Seems to be impacted by one of the later updates.

When I active a Curse one time, no will active curse any more. I'm using v5.1 so I'll try to go back to 4.4 Edit: I almost forgot... after the first curse activates, when another one should activate, well instead.. Well, obviously you didn't, otherwise it would run and your game wouldn't complain. There's nothing we can do about it. Re-check if you really have ALL the requirements. Depending how experienced you are as a modder, setting up Devious Devices from scratch can take anything between two days and a week.

I check both the player and actor to see if they are in combat. I also do check if either is swimming and an event shouldn't happen. (Playing on the newest version) How do the lewd marks work? Are they permanent or only changed out when you receive a new lewd mark? I currently have the branding mark but it won't seem to disappear even when I have reached the necessary tattoo amount.

Ah, okay, then it's the discepancy of me thinking I'm in battle (red dot in the overhead, taking aim with the bow in sneak) and Skyrim or my followers thinking the same. I can confirm for the nudity mark that it does disappear with v0.5.3 but had problems with v0.5.2 (which also might be related to Vortex not keeping LO on update) Sometimes the marks don't disappear on zero count, but need one more. With the nudity mark it's "you still have to talk to 0 people..."
rjn Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 I'm using the 5.3 version, but in the last few versions (including the latest) I still get message boxes when triggering some traps (notably dead bodies} even though I have Don't Show Message boxes checked in the MCM. That is, I get a box which offers a choice of "Put it on" or "Carry on". I really like your version of the Living Latex suit and I've for a long time wanted tattoos with consequences, so thank you very much for those.

I get them when I dismiss this mod's message box too fast, before all devices are equipped. Maybe a delay beforen actually opening the "container" would help for those who disable the message boxes.
