It's been 3 years since playing

Hey,

It's been 3 years since I last played and I completely forgot how to mod Skyrim.

Is anyone willing to help me get started? What mods should I download first and what order should they be in? I want to download mods from this site (adult) and would like to download the mod called Skyrim Romance as well, so I would like to know where they would fit in the load order. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I only know how to use Vortex.

Please and thank you!

I've got you buddy.

Last month, it was 15 years since I last played and had completely forgotten how to mod Skyrim.

Here is what you need to do:

1. First: download SKSE & put it inside your game folder

2. Download & install mod organizer: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194

3. Add mods: for new mods: on nexus click download with mod manager -> install from downloads page in MO. loverslab mods: import and install

4. Select which mods you want: simply tick/untick. you can create as many selection profiles as you want

5. Download and Install LOOT. Run it inside MO by clicking "sort" to sort your mods and automatically check for errors.

6. (Advanced & Optional, Build Meshes): Download bodyslide studio. Start it and build meshes. Then right click on Overwrites in MO > create mod > tick. You will need to redo this every time you add new meshes.

6. (Advanced & Optional, Build Animations): Download and Install FNIS. Run it. You will need to redo this every time you add new animations.

7. Add SKSE shortcut to MO and run Skyrim from SKSE shortcut in MO.

8. Enjoy!

Edit: I talk too much sometimes.

Just get "Eager NPCs" or equivalent and look at its requirements on the right of the mod page. You can just drag and drop zip folders of mods in Vortex to enable them, it will notify you if there are conflicts and how to resolve them.

The game wasn't even released 15 years ago.

I'm glad I said it!
Now I know about your mods. Thanks!

Did you test these with Pahe by any chance?

And we all believe you.

I did this last year. First I did a lot of searching and reading. This spared me having to read posts from numpties talking crap about how long they have played Skyrim, crap about Vortex or posting a short list of their favourite mods.

Then I mostly used these guides:

For SE

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/94228-se-compatibility-tracking-apr-23/

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/126227-sexlab-index-se/

It took me a week or two to get a functioning, stable game up and running.
