Friends, I'm a Chinese player of this MOD. The Chinese translation here hasn't been updated for a long time. I updated the corresponding text description by myself (my English is very poor, but I think a bad translation is always better than no translation at all). If you need it, you can download it by yourself simp_chinese.rar

Could you rework the 'Visit Brothel' decision to function like the Adventurer's 'Visit Holding' mechanic? It would feel much more immersive to physically enter the location and manually select a prostitute, rather than just clicking a menu button. Also that it seem Paradox adding a soft integrate of population control, do you think that it will help if the "Visit Brothel" idea just spam too much prostitute? Thanks, actually I had a similar idea from the very beginning of CPR, and 2 of my other mods ("Search & Trade Artifacts" and CSR) are already adding "Visit Holding" options. It's still on my list, so I will probably add it in the future, however it will be only for landless adventurers, as only they are able to "visit holdings", otherwise it will be a much more complex change that would require too much maintenance work in the future. I don't think "Visit Brothel" spawns too much prostitutes. I am always careful to do "population control" myself in my mods - for slaves in CSR, for prostitutes in CPR, etc. I collect and review statistics regularly and I know that at any given moment, there are never more than 300-400 prostitutes (characters with the trait) in the world (~1% of the total population), and only about half of them "working". The above decision and related events only spawn new prostitutes if there are no prostitutes available nearby.

I don't know Chinese so I can't judge if your translation is better, please check and let me know if you think more updates are needed.
Uzhirian Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 Is there anyway to prevent ai vassals or family from being a prostitute? Playing this with something like Regula Magistry, all the wives are running side jobs haha, and seems nigh impossible to prevent even via console as it uses a modifier in addition to the trait. The pox and the non-rp aspect kinda bug me a bit.

Running a side job as a prostitute is something rulers decide on their own based on personality, religious doctrines, and other circtumstances. With the default Shunned doctrine in vanilla this is still quite rare. Perhaps you could ask the author of Regula Magistri to add a game rule or another mechanic for this? This is actually a Carnalitas, not a CPR feature, CPR only changes the conditions a bit. 2
m00zesss Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) Love your mods but i have a suggestion on this one. For some reason it's only possible to start prostitution when you're fertile or don't use contraception. While i think not being able to become pregnant is a big plus for a prositute. Wouldn't it be better to remove this hard block? I don't think anyone who goes for a prostitute wants to have a kid with her ... seems counter-intuitive and bad for business I prefer playing as a female and it's annoying that my toon gets pregnant from all the mods, she just wants to have fun and/or make money. It would keep me from having to check her 'condition' every week, because iif you wait a bit too long she get's the actual pregnant trait, and fornicatr/adulterer etc. Same goes for when you play as a male, almost every time they have intercourse with a prostitute they (the female obviously) get pregnant. You should be able to start working as prostitute while using birth control. Could you post a screenshot showing what exactly doesn't work? If you are using birth control, your fertility is penalized -100%, but this doesn't mean it's 0, since you may have bonuses, so you may still get pregnant (although it's very unlikely). This is how it works in Carnalitas, I didn't change it in CPR. Vanilla sex events have a hardcoded pregnancy chance (30%). Carnallitas and CPR override this to be dynamic and depend on fertility, but other mod may be overriding it as well (it's a single well-known pregnancy_chance vanilla value). I have statistics for vanilla + Carnalitas + CPR (20 years after 867, collected with CK3 1.18.0.2 before releasing CPR 0.6.0) showing that in only about 10% of all intercourses with prostitutes the latter gets pregnant. If your experience doesn't match the above, likely this is due to other mods being involved. 1
pharaox Posted April 23 Author Posted April 23 I just released version 0.7.0 of this mod, see file. This version is compatible with CK3 1.19.x. For more information, see the description and change notes. 2
basillover53 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Hello there! First off I wanted to say thank you Pharaox for all of your contributions to the carnalitas submods. I've recently experienced a major increase in crashes while running LL mods, and I wanted to know if there are any conflicts between this mod and "adroit divine prostitution - Updated" by lyskorie. I've been unable to isolate the issue since I do not receive reports after the majority of crashes, and the crashes only happen within 8-20 years of starting a new game, though game stability is drastically reduced after the first crash.

I am not aware of any, but I also don't play with Lyskorie's mods. I would suggest to ask in the Carnalitas discord, Lyskorie is pretty active there. "LL mods" differ wildly in quality / compatibility, I would advise to be "picky" and verify compatibility in advance if possible. 1
