New to Skyrim modding, having an issue with a bunch of mods not showing up in MCM

Hi all,

I've running the steam version of Skyrim SE 1.6.1170.0. I've got SkyUi working in game and RaceMenu.esp and RaceMenuPlugin.esp also appear enabled in the creations menu but nothing else shows there. I have sexlab, Simpleslavery Plus Plus and Naked Defeat among other mods installed and ticked in MO but they aren't showing in the game MCM  and aren't present at all.  Despite being ticked I'm getting a plugin not found error for them in the log and I have no idea why.

Here is a screenshot if that helps and let me know if I need to provide more information:

Creations menu != MCM. MCM is provided by SkyUI and is an entirely different thing.

If I were you, I wouldn't even open the Creations menu, because that just gives Bethesda an excuse to "manage" your mods. Test again without opening that menu and see what you get.

Have you installed SKSE? I can not see that you installed it's Data folder like a regular mod how recommended.

The OP is running the game via SKSE. Look at the sceenshot of MO2.

My bad. I looked everywhere just not there. ^^

There's also this, more specifically what @Just Don't said in the first post.

Yes, but that bug was fixed in the most recent version of Engine Fixes. Also this user doesn't seem to be using Engine Fixes.

Or Address Library which is a requirement for SL and many other mods with SKSE plugins.

Also you managed to load SkyUI and Racemenu via installing them outside of MO2. Not recommended really. This isn't fixing anything, just showing something is wrong with your MO2 setup so your mods can't load in game. Using the Creations/Mods menu in game has been known to cause this, since it messes with the plugins.txt other mod managers use to, well, manage your mods. Don't use that menu unless you absolutely need to grab a creation or something (absolutely unnecessary, don't do it). Also you seem to be missing a master for Devious Devices Equip. And I'm not entirely sure but last time I checked Crosshair Ref Event Fix wasn't compatible with the latest version of the game so it could be throwing an incompatibility error. You have 2 notifications (exclamation mark in the top bar to the right), read them.

I generally do not look at load orders, for better or for worse. I feel like simple load orders leave far too many questions. In this case for instance Engine Fixes could be installed directly into the Data directory of Skyrim. Silly idea, yes, but not impossible or unheard of. RM and SkyUI have already been installed like this for some reason, they just happen to show up in MO2 because they have esp plugins.

Now that you mention it, I do remember this as well.
