Blackbryre Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 As the title says, it would appear that Immersive First Person View handles SexLab animations very well. From what I can understand, it essentially uses your regular 3rd person camera, but just places it in a first person view angle--right in front of the face. This means TBBP and other effects that are present in 3rd person are also in full view. The installation was 1-click with NMM, and uses MCM for FoV customisation and hotkeys. I haven't tested it with all animations, but all the ones I did worked well. I would recommend leaving the "TFC" option off in SexLab's settings. I recommend those who are interested give it a spin!
redshift1979 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 it's a cool mod. but it's very ...violent...in some animations. regardless if sexlab or just something simple like, say, running.
Blackbryre Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 it's a cool mod. but it's very ...violent...in some animations. regardless if sexlab or just something simple like, say, running. I'd agree it's not very smooth, seeing as the camera follows the head movement in all animations. The only way to really control for that seems to be making animations with less head movement. It's not something I'd want to fight a dragon with turned on, but toggling it on when a SexLab animation plays, gives an interesting... perspective.
h38fh2mf Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 There are 10 profiles possible in the MCM menu and you can assign them to certain activities such as running, sexlab animations, sneaking, etc. If you lower the rotation of the running profile to 25 for example then it will be very light bobbing while running. Next version will include some premade profiles so that people who use it for the first time don't have to start messing with huge amounts of configurations immediately.
Guest Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Been using this mod for about a week now. I'm looking forward to what the creator does with it next.
bleagh Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 This is a wonderful mod in combination with sexlab. Until the update comes definately want to decrease the rotation setting to around 5 to 15.

Use version 06 and bind the "toggle temporary head rotation" thing to a convenient key and you'll have no problems at all with. I tries v13 but it removed the option for this toggle which is very disappointing news to me, as means I can't stay in that view all the time. With head rotation disables you can easily do bow combat with no problems
hryh23k9823u Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 The head shake is something weird, since it only appears when running, not when walking and sprinting, of course you can set lower head rotation value but it reduces the walking and sprinting bobbing that works well in 100%

It's amazing just how fast this has gone from .6 to 1.4 (just the one's I've tried). And the reason I've not tried to keep up is the 'huge amounts of configurations'.
Kageryu Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 My eyes hurt using this mod with sexlab and the NPC faces get distorted when using this mod, they look creepy up close.
hryh23k9823u Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 The distortion may be the fov, by default the mod puts it at 95 degrees I believe, put it at something more close to vanilla, like 75 and you'll notice no distortion.

I haven't been following it recently. must have been updated. my version does not have any profiles. must go take another look now.
redshift1979 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 well...updated...what a difference lol
Ashra XIII Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I am very much in love with this mod and have tried to state it everywhere I can. This thread serves only as a vehicle for me to say it once more. Seriously... there is some configuration too it but it's not that complicated once you realize what you're adjusting. In fact with the newest versions, I don't have to do that much adjusting at all other than moving the back/front to zero (I don't know why it starts at 100 when all others start at 0) and then adjusting head rotation for different situations (usually turning it down A LOT). If you like seeing things from your character's point of view, there is seriously no reason not to use this mod over Bethesda's lame first-person view. Except maybe archery. Yes, it does work very well with Sexlab, but it also is awesome for adventuring in general! Except archery.

I've been trying that and it seems to do ok. however, sometimes it seems to revert back to a bunch of bounce I've toned down after sheathing the bow. I have to toggle the key to inactive back to first person to get it to "remember" my settings.

Also I was being silly. I think archery isn't actually that bad, as long as it's not attempted from stealth. Stealth in general is very shaky, but that's because of the way the character animations work and I don't know if there's anything this mod could do about it.
Band_Geek3 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Hehe, Ashra and I seem to be kinda following each other around to forcibly tell everybody how awesome this mod is. Such is life. It is seriously my favorite mod all year.

I tries v13 but it removed the option for this toggle which is very disappointing news to me, as means I can't stay in that view all the time. With head rotation disables you can easily do bow combat with no problems I removed it because you can set same hotkey on two different profiles, in one profile reduce rotation to 0. That sets up an identical switch as the previous version's where you press key and rotation disappears and reappears. Not only that you can modify every other setting too while you're at it. And the rotation also is removed with a timer so it doesn't instantly jump to no rotation / full rotation but fades.
Eireamhoin Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Well I'm pleasantly surprised, there are some pretty nice views on some of the animations. There's also a few animations that would have VERY awesome views if the camera was positioned correctly. The one where the female slowly lowers herself down onto the male, would be great if the camera wasn't positioned backwards. I'll definitely play with this some more, very cool.
h38fh2mf Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I found that during complex animations the rotation must be at 100 otherwise all kinds of problems occur.
Liquidpinky Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Using this with Sexlab and an Oculus Rift, well it is pretty realistic now I would say. A fantastic mod that works well in Skyrim overall, with and without Sexlab and a must have for Oculus Rift users.
Ashra XIII Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I found that during complex animations the rotation must be at 100 otherwise all kinds of problems occur. The downside to having rotation at 100 during Sexlab animations is that some of them shake the camera around a lot and it makes me dizzy. I lower it to reduce the crazy thrashing. Still seems to generally work okay, and is certainly the most, erm, immersive way to experience these animations.
h38fh2mf Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Yeah some of them go crazy one of the missionary ones I don't remember which is so weird, even with rotation off the camera is moving strangely sometimes. And some animations you basically can't see anything because partner is blocking or the character is just looking somewhere else. Would be awesome if there was some way to have camera settings in SexLab per animation. I did add some options for modders to change profiles and turn view on / off from other mods in last version but I didn't add configuring settings yet. Edit: or eevn config per stage.
Ashra XIII Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Yeah there are a few animations where the girl does turn her head different ways, and I thought even that was pretty cool when in IFP, as the camera turns with it. I just let go of the mouse and look where she looks, and my memory/imagination fills in the rest when she isn't quite looking straight at her partner.
bleagh Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I just found out that this mod allows first person horse riding! OMG, I'm so happy. I could never understand why we couldn't have first person horse riding. Horses used to kill my immersion... not anymore! I got a kick out of watching my female solo anim from first person, I purposely put alot of head movement in and I really enjoyed where it took me. hehe, great mod. I will have to keep this in mind as I work on my bathing animation. fun stuff.
