lastly, i've noticed that inside the files there are messy/wet versions of the diapers and pull ups

do they work?

(and to not create more comments, how did you make the poses for the mod's photos?)

and i've noticed that even with me taking showers ingame and not being in a dirty diaper, i'm still affected by the charisma and agility debuffs. is this a problem with DLNV or the Toilet Mod? lastly which is something i also think is a problem of that mod and it's the fact that my potty and pee levels are extremely low but i don't pee myself (i can't add a picture but currently both potty and pee are around -150)

using the toilet doesn't fix it.

hi hi ^^
just found this mod and am loving it ! is there any chance of more clothes ? things like diapers under a skirt or sleepers/onesies? looking forwards to more updates

Unlikely, but I was working on having a skirt on the school uniform and having sleepers/onesies. The issue is that I just couldn't get them to look any good. The sleepers were too low-poly, the skirt defied physics, and the onesies just didn't look great. Keep in mind, I'm not much of a 3D artist, I specialize more in scripting and texture work. But, if anyone more experienced in 3D work wants to work on those things, go ahead.

sounds silly but i'm truly lost on whether this will happen

I'm pretty sure the hardcore toggle just affects the mod, but I'm not entirely sure.

also, what is the rockitmisterchipper file?

I was experimenting with compatibility for a Rock-it Launcher mod so you could fire your used diapers out of it. But it turns out that items shot out of the Rock-it Launcher won't retain any texture swaps, meaning all dirty diapers would just come out as the default used white diaper. The only solution to fix this that I know of would bloat the file size, so I scrapped it.

The messy/wet textures should work as long as everything was installed correctly.

The poses were created with mods found on Nexus such as "JO Poses" and "For a Few Poses More"

DLNV in an updated version of the Usable Toilets mod, please ensure that you followed the provided installation guide, have installed all the required mods listed in the mod page desription, and read the rest of this thread to see if your problem has already been solved. Additionally, pressing F12 will take a Steam screenshot and Windows has a snip tool for other screenshots. If none of this fixes your issue, please provide a screenshot of your mod load order.

do you suggest any mod organizer like vortex, FOMM or MO2?

i've been following the instructions and reinstalled, but now only useabletoilets installs and the DLNewvegas stuff never shows up. although i suspect that i have been unable to use the mod due to the fact that the MCM doesn't wanna work no more

i got MCM working but still no diapers. i'm also including some screenshots showing my mod order and the JG, JIP and NVSE and the Toilet mod

also i'm pretty sure i followed the instructions on the instruction guide. everything is on it's place and i replaced the useabletoilets esp with the dlnewvegas esp (speaking of which, why not rename the .esp file to DLNewVegas?)

forget everything i said i got it working after reinstalling the whole thing (but really why not rename the UseableToilets.esp that this mod creates to DiaperLoversNewVegas.esp or something like that?)

i go and pickup the goodnites that you find near doc mitchells home and i see that missing mesh thingy (circle of life) quickly fixed that. mod works 100% now

Good to see you got things working. To answer your questions, I recommend Mod Organizer 2 over Vortex and FOMM. The "UsableToilets.esp" file included in DLNewVegas needs to replace the original UsableToilets.esp file because I made significant changes to the original mod such as MCM support, tweaking bladder and bowel capacity, auto-replacing toilets, and some quality of life edits.

alright

although could you explain how i regain my agility and charisma on the mod after messing myself? i'm doing a gun build and i need that agility back since it affects the gun skill.

Maybe add a item to regain the lost SPECIAL points? Wipes or cream? Idk

Lastly could i ask you how you made the clothes for the mod? I had a idea for one but i know nothijg about outfit studio

If you have bath needs toggled on in the MCM menu, then you gotta take a bath to remove your penalties. If bath needs are toggled off, your penalties should be removed when you unequip (or "change") your diaper. Talcum powder exists and is found at most traders, using a talcum powder after equipping a fresh diaper should negate the SPECIAL penalties when you use your diaper. Talcum powder is only good for one diaper though, you'll need to use another one if you change your diaper.

The clothes were just made using outfit studio. There's a great tutorial series for Outfit Studio on YouTube made by "Mom's Gaming Channel (Ciraeyna)", she's specifically talking about Skyrim but most of what she says still applies to New Vegas: link

okay thanks for the tutorial but i think i'm doing something wrong with the bath then? i play with bath needs on and when i hop on the shower, i still keep my charisma and agility debuffs for some reason

secondly, there's this weird thing that has been happening where in every cell i enter that has a toilet, a random npc will spawn in to use the toilet. any clue on why that happens? its a randomly generated npc just called wastelander

You also need some Abraxo cleaner in order for the debuffs to be removed. Personally I play without the bath needs and I largely left it untouched besides allowing it to be toggled on and off.

I haven't had that happen in my testing. It might just be bad luck, as NPCs are able to use the toilets.

(Apologies in advance for the all the text.) I've been struggling to get this mod to function properly on two different computers and pulling my hair out about it. I have a few questions.

For context, I have two main problems: the MCM never shows up in game, and diapers don't appear visually on the player models (male or female) regardless of whether I have other clothing or armor on. The only mods I have installed are this one and its prerequisites. Puzzlingly, the clothing added by the mod *does* show up on the character.

Regarding the MCM:

On both of my computers (a steam deck and a recent Windows laptop), I've been unable to get the MCM to appear for at least a little bit of time. It's never appeared on steam deck, but I did eventually get it to show itself on the Windows machine after toggling the MCM plugin off and on in FOMM. The same does not seem to work on the steam deck. The moment the MCM becomes available, the mechanics of the mod immediately kick in. I'm prompted to set a key for the stats screen, sound effects play, things work besides the visual model appearing on the player.

The only thing I've been able to find about this problem (with MCM broadly) is that it simply won't show up unless there is a compatible mod installed, and there is. MCM only gives me logs on the Windows machine but it's never shown any indication of why it works and why it doesn't work.

Since the MCM doesn't have other mod prereqs, I suspect it just doesn't properly see the DLNV mod, but I don't know why. Is it possible I've missed an important component? I've installed the MCM bugfix 2 patch, and also tried making all of the INI files and executables writable but that doesn't appear to be enough.

I've done a few clean reinstalls here and only sometimes does the MCM work after a fresh install.

Obviously the MCM working is pretty important and I'd like to do that, but if for some reason I can't, is that literally the only way to configure the settings of the mod? Could I not force the menu to pop up with a console command or something?

Regarding the diaper models not appearing on the player:

This one's weird because all the clothes besides the diapers do appear on the player, and the overworld models are all good too. But when worn, there is simply nothing visible.

I suspect this one is a failure to install something properly but just getting this mod to run requires about a dozen other mods first. Some of these prereq mods have a bunch of different versions (e.g. nude, underwear, hairy, bouncing physics) and it's unclear which ones I need. installation process looks something like this:

  1. NVSE
  2. JohnnyGuitar NVSE
  3. JIP LN NVSE -> JIP LN Settings INI
  4. The Mod Configuration Menu -> MCM BugFix 2
  5. NV Compatible Skeleton (using the CBBE-compatible option)
  6. CBBE (Main)
  7. Robert S Body Replacer Prereqs:
    1. Enhanced Movement -> Enhanced Movement Settings INI
    2. BodySlide and Outfit Studio
    3. Robert S Body Replacer F3
  8. Robert S Body Replacer NV -> CBBE Compatibility Patch -> Enhanced Movement Skeleton Patch
  9. Usable Toilets (Manual) -> Usable Toilets V5 patch (Manual)
  10. DLNV
    1. DLNewVegas-1-10.rar

    2. DLNewVegasDLC-2.rar

      (Using the AllDLC plugin)

At this point I'm out of ideas save for some questions that might be able to be clarified here.

  • The Loverslab page for this mod briefly mentions most of the other mod files available for download (e.g. sexout patch, invis whitelist, etc.), but doesn't make it clear what each of these do, which files are required for the mod to function, and so on. So which of the files are necessary? The main RAR file seems to be required, and the DLC one if I have DLC. What about the others?
  • There are two requirements sections on the Loverslab page, one at the top of the page, and one in the body of the mod description near the bottom. The top one lists StewieAI, but the bottom one does not. Is StewieAI a requirement for this mod?
  • Is there a particular install method you use to get this working? Specifically, what mod manager you use, what order you install things in, which patches and prerequisite components you use, and whether there's anything easy to miss?
  • Should I assume that I need to unset read only on the FNV folder any time I want to run the game?

Again, apologies for all the text but I've been at this for two days now and it's making me go nuts. Thanks for any help you might have.

Yeah, that's just how MCM works. It'll only appear if a mod using MCM is installed.

You can use the toilet paper item in your inventory, but it doesn't have all the features that MCM does. The original usable toilets mod was made before MCM was widely adopted, I started using that at first but then I figured out how to make an MCM menu and went from there.

Steam deck runs an entirely different operating system than Windows. If you're having issues with getting MCM on steam deck, seek support on MCM's side.

Yeah, I must've forgot to put it in the body description. Most other mods use the requirements listed, so most people already have StewieAI downloaded.

23 hours ago, ace4te said:

I use Mod Organizer 2 because Vortex hides files and FOMM is a bit outdated. It doesn't matter what order you install the libraries (Johnny Guitar, JIP LN, StewieAI) as long as you install them after installing NVSE. For load order, try to keep UsableToilets.esp towards the top. When installing your body replacers, it shouldn't matter which options you select.

The Sexout patch only needs to be installed if you're playing with the sexout mod. The invis whitelist is included as a way to add clothing from other mods to the "invisibility whitelist" so a diaper will be able to appear instead of turning invisible. "Alt Textures.rar" includes alternate textures for some of the diapers, these textures overwrite the ones in the baes mod. "DLNewVegas Texture Assets.rar" is just a folder containing all the assets I created while making the mod's textures; it's intended to help others make more textures if they so desire, it's not for game installation. And "Type4 Conversion.rar" is mesh replacements for people using the Type4 body replacer instead of CBBE. None of these are mandatory dor the mod to work in the base game.

Yes, in fact Mod Organizer 2 automatically asks you if you want to do that before launching the game. And it saves your selection.

Make sure you're following the Install Guide PDF included inside the DLNewVegas RAR. I recommend switching to MO2, as FOMM is really old and outdated. If it still doesn't work, send me a screenshot of your mod load order and a screenshot of your dev console on the main menu after booting the game.

Thank you for the info, that cleared a lot of things very well.

Had some time to try and work on this yesterday and I've made progress, but things still aren't quite right. So once I finally got StewieAI into the installed mods and finally got past all of the crashing when loading a save:

  • I can get the MCM to function. Changing the status key in the menu seems to work but when pressing the key in game nothing happens.
  • Diaper models show up on the player... kinda.
    • Goodnites in the outside of Doc Mitchell's house show up on the female player model, but the clipping is pretty bad
    • Acquired a Little Kings and tried that, it has the same clipping issues--like it is just too small for the model.
    • The first time I tried the Little Kings, it was showing up as untextured pants and a collar. I then ran the MO2 as an admin and the model shows up correctly but with clipping. Running MO2 as a non-admin now shows the model just fine (again, with clipping). (?)
  • Observe the mechanics working as intended more or less if I wait around long enough.
  • The game seems like it wants to crash almost every time I try to enter a new area. Especially if that area is outdoors.
  • Since reinstalling the game and mods, and starting a fresh character for testing purposes, I noticed that this time I was never given a pop up to bind the status key. I was only able to try and bind it from the MCM.

All of this is what's happening on my Windows machine--I'm not planning on fighting with the Steam Deck until the Windows one is behaving. See attached for the load order, in-game console, and clipping issue.

This tends to happen with CBBE because of the compatibility skeleton. Effectively it thinks the player is wearing high heels even when barefoot, causing the diaper to be off-set and clip through. Refer to this note in the mod description for a fix (AppData folder is a hidden folder, so make sure you toggle your system settings to see it):

Quote

I decided to use the New Vegas port of CBBE because of the amount of customization it allows. However, it might require a little work to get working properly. Firstly, ensure that the NV Compatibility Skeleton is installed. Then you might find that the default CBBE model won't work immediately. So, what you want to do is open OutfitStudio, File > Load reference > From Template: "Type CBBE", File > Export > To nif with reference, then navigate to C:\Users\(You)\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\(Your Mod Profile)\mods\Type CBBE - Main\meshes\Characters\_male and replace "femaleupperbody.nif".

Also, I noticed that your skin texture isn't wrapping on your player model correctly. It's what's causing the seams and panties to appear on the model. CBBE requires you to download a nude skin texture from other body replacers like Type4.

New Vegas is old and buggy, there's several mods that help optimize the game and reduce crashes, refer to Viva New Vegas for recommendations and further mod installation support.

In most of my testing, the startup sequence ran without fail. But in the chance that this occurs, you can use the toilet paper item that should be in your inventory. Then you select the hardcore setting and exit the menu. Use the toilet paper again and select the hardcore setting again and it should re-launch the startup sequence. I'll probably change it in the next major release to make the startup sequence less obtrusive and more deliberate.

So I did see that note on the mod page about using the toilet paper item and toggling hard mode, and I did try that. But when I did, the toilet paper item was consumed and not added back to my inventory. Is there a workaround for that?

Did you exit your inventory? Opening your inventory effectively pauses the game and it will pause any scripts that are running. But once you exit, it should fire the script.

I did exit the inventory and I got a notification that the toilet paper had worn off. I assume that's when it should have been added back and/or the startup window should have appeared but no such luck.

Weird, it always comes back for me. No idea why it isn't doing it for you. The toilet paper "effect" has a line in the script that explicitly adds the toilet paper item back to the inventory.

Either way, JIP LN adds a search function to the console. Open console and type search "Toilet Paper" and press enter. You'll should the one that says "ALCH b3ToiletPaper01 Toilet Paper" and a string of numbers in brackets preceeding it. Then type player.additem (insert the object ID from console) 1.

Whenever I continue development on this mod, I'll probably just rebuild it from the ground-up instead of piggybacking off 13-year-old code.

It should be there. Try manually adding all the folders from "CalienteTools > BodySlide" found inside the CBBE .rar file to the same folder your OutfitStudio.exe file is installed.

That's the T4 body. If you want to use CBBE, then you don't install the whole Type4 mod, you just extract the texture files from T4 into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\textures\characters\female". And keep the Type4 mod disabled.

If you want to use Type4, replace the meshes found in "Data\Meshes\DLNewVegas" with the ones found in "Type4 Conversion.rar"

If you want to use Type4, replace the meshes found in "Data\Meshes\DLNewVegas" with the ones found in "Type4 Conversion.rar"

THAT WORKED THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Would be great if there was a way to see diaper condition on HUD similar to armour

Also when sleeping it will pop up with "You awoke with urge to poop" and then skip forward like 8 hours regardless of what the sleep timer was or how long you have slept
