Diaper Lovers' New Vegas 2

View File

This mod adds many different diapers and a few clothing options to make the Mojave Wasteland just a little bit cuter. You'll be able to have accidents and fill your pamps to your heart's content.

Requirements:
NVSE 6.3.5+
SUP NVSE Plugin
JIP LN NVSE Plugin
ShowOff NVSE Plugin
Mod Configuration Menu
Body Replacer
Robert S for males, CBBE or Type4 for females
*If you are using YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp, be sure that DLNewVegas2DLC.esp is below it in your mod order.

Spoiler

YUP changes the whitelist used for contraband checks when entering The Fort. It mainly adds the food items from Old World Blues. DLNewVegas2DLC.esp patches those items in as well so there won't be conflicts.

Installation:
Install as you would any other mod, by installing from the archive with your mod organizer, or manually if you prefer.
If you're updating your save file from version 1.0.x, please read the "Updating From 1.0" section below.

You do not need to install "DLNewVegas Texture Assets.rar" in order for the mod to function. That is an archive of texture assets I made while making the texture files and is intended to be used when making your own new textures.

(Optional) Vanilla UI+ Vault Girl Icons Pack by @DJ_Kitty:

DLNV VUI+ Vault Girl Icons.rar

Replace the icon textures in your textures folder with the ones in this .rar file. Or install as you would any other mod.

Requires Vanilla UI+ and User Interface Organizer (UIO)

Usage:
Diapers will added to vendors all throughout the Mojave wasteland, and will be included in some enemies' loot tables (level lists).
In order to activate your bladder and bowel needs, there is a book in the back of the truck outside Doc Mitchell's house called "Potty Training and You". Simply use that book, and the mod's startup sequence will activate.
You'll have to manage your bladder and bowel bars, they fill up over time and will be filled by your consumption of food and beverages. If either of the bars fill up, you'll have an accident and your armor will take a sizeable hit to it's durability. Unless you're wearing a diaper, of course. You can relieve yourself anywhere in the wasteland, but be careful, some people might not take too kindly to you taking a dump on their floor. By default, "P" and "O" are bound as your keys to pee or poop. Relieving yourself without a diaper will force your character to pause for a moment to relieve themself, but wearing a diaper will allow you to keep on trucking.
The mod adds two new Traits, "Incontinent" and "Bedwetter". "Incontinent" will make it so that you cannot tell when you have to go, but you gain a permanent +2 Agility and -15% AP cost to all weapons. "Bedwetter" will make it so you always wet the bed when you go to sleep, but you will always receive the "Well Rested" bonus, even in un-owned beds.
The mod also adds two new effects, "Mommy, Wow!" and "Warm, Wet, Calm". "Mommy, Wow!" is a reward for using the toilet and not going in your pants. There are three levels, and it levels up based on how many days you've stayed clean for, with +10% EXP Gain after one day, +15% after two, and +20% after three. You also receive a +15% bonus to your critical hit chance. (Bedwetting won't count against your dry streak). "Warm, Wet, Calm" is a temporary bonus for whenever you use your diaper and your bladder/bowels bar is at least half full, giving you +10% AP Recovery and +15% Weapon Damage.
Talcum Powder may also be found, crafted, or bought from vendors, and it will give a temporary bonus to speech, barter, and charisma.
Your pee and poop keys can be adjusted in the mod configuration menu, along with toggling bladder and bowel needs, bladder and bowel capacity, the "Incontinence" trait, and the "Bedwetter" trait. Whenever making changes in the mod configuration menu, be sure to tick "Save Changes" at the bottom.

What's New in 2.0?
I completely rebuilt the mod from the ground-up to make it independent from the old Usable Toilets mod. I found it much more liberating and simpler to work with my own new code instead of piggybacking off of a 13-year-old mod. A benefit of this is that the mod now "cleans up" after itself, and it doesn't need an uninstall .esp file. Additionally, I created a .fomod installer to make installation simpler and cleaner.
The entire system has been re-worked to make the mod more fun to play, I realized that awarding gameplay bonuses instead of penalties was much more enjoyable.
I also re-worked the sneakers to look better and added flip-flops. I also fixed most the clipping issues with CBBE (for some reason, the "reference" CBBE shape in outfit studio was different from the one actually used in game).
Bathing needs have been scrapped because I personally didn't care for them. Cloth diapers are also temporarily scrapped because I was dissatisfied with the .nif models. Dynamic Continence is also scrapped, as it couldn't really fit with the new system.

Updating From 1.0:
This is only necessary if you're using the same save file that was running 1.0. Any new games don't need to do this.
All of your diapers and clothes will be removed since this is a complete re-build, so take inventory of your items before updating. You can add them in via console commands. Use the "search" function provided by JIP in order to find the new IDs and add them by typing "player.additem (ID) (amount)".
If you made any new textures or adjusted your .nif models, please back them up to a safe location.
Remove the DLNewVegas folders found in Data\meshes, Data\textures, and the DLFallout folder in Data\sound. Also remove the files that were added into the Data\sound\fx folder. Finally, remove UsableToilets.esp and any of the old additionaly .esp files (AllDLC, SexoutPatch, InvisWhitelist, etc.). Be sure to keep UsableToiletsUninstalled.esp.
Enable UsableToiletsUninstalled.esp. This will reset any of the toilets that were replaced by the UsableToilets mod. Do note, that the toilets may not load in initially, but will be loaded after UsableToiletsUninstalled.esp has been disabled.

im having a bit of trouble getting the diapers to appear, does anyone have any pointer on how to fix this

Can you give me some more details? Are you having trouble finding them in the world or are they not appearing when you equip them?

They're littered throughout the world and some merchants sell them. If they're not appearing when you equip them, then double check that you're not wearing any other armor (besides the t-shirt, hoodie, or school uniform). Then double check that you've installed the mod correctly.

since you asked, the problem with this mod is that whenever i try to equip the diaper, it disappears. even after i take of whatever im wearing, although strangely it does show the diaper for a quick time and then it disappears.

That is peculiar. But, since the diaper appears briefly before disappearing, that tells me that something is triggering the script to make it go invisible. It's as if you have an armor equipped even when you're naked. I still need some more details to get to the bottom of it, though.

What gender are you playing as, what are the settings on your body replacer, are you running any other mods, where are you in the game, which diaper are you equipping, etc. The more details the better, even better would be some footage of the bug in action if possible.

well for one i am trying to make this work on TTW, too me it doesn't seem like they would conflict but i wouldn't know for sure, (tbh ttw support would be nice if it isn't there), i am also playing as a woman, i do not have the robert s body replacer. and i have bnb and type 4, although i did disable them and the bug is still there, and sexout framework assortments is also installed. if your wondering specifically where i am, I'm at the beginning of fallout 3 after your dad escapes the vault. and ive only really equipped goodnights (as far as ive seen the bug is the same for both).

there are more mods but i would imagine those are probably the most likely ones to be causing the problem, although im not sure.

I'd have to test it for myself but I think the problem is sexout framework assortment. Specifically, all the pregnancy stuff.

I imagine that the pregnancy stuff works by having a script that checks your pregnancy status and adds and equips an invisible "armor" whenever your character is naked. And since you technically have an armor equipped, even though it's invisible in your inventory, the diaper's "go invisible" script runs.

The fix is probably not too difficult, but I'm a little busy the next few days. Hypothetically all I need to do is set the sexout esp as a master file to my esp and add all the pregnancy "armors" to the invisibility script whitelist.

Alright, it took a little bit of digging but I think I've got a quick dirty patch ready. Place the esp file in SexoutPatch-1-2.rar into your Data folder and enable the esp in your mod organizer. I've added all the nude "armors" to the invisibility script whitelist. Keep in mind that you may still have to make mesh modifications for Type 4. CBBE has some conversion presets in Outfit Studio.

Also, you may experience some clipping issues with the different levels of pregnancy, those will also need some mesh modifications. Feel free to share them here and I'll add them to the download page with credit to you.

I've also made a tutorial on how to add any other armor to the invisibility script whitelist, all that's needed is FNVEdit.

How am I supposed to repair the t-shirts? Can you enable them to be repaired? also I noticed when using the dispose of diaper option it doesn't remove the almost broken diaper item.

Thanks for catching that, I have updated the mod to include a repair list for the added clothes. You should be able to repair them with most armors and a few junk items.

As for the disposal issue, that's a known bug I've been having trouble with. It seems to be caused by loading a save where you already have a diaper equipped. Other diapers in your inventory should work just fine, but the equipped one in particular just doesn't. However, if you load an autosave, it should work. No idea what kind of gamebryo spaghetti causes it to fix itself, but if I find a better solution, I'll release an update.

Also, if you're updating to a new version of the mod, you may have to "reboot" it by using the toilet paper aid item and toggling "Hardcore Mode" off and on. If you don't, your status message keybind might not work. Again, I haven't found a fix for that yet, but if I do I'll release an update.
Newest version is live.

Also, I know its probably asking a lot, but is it possible to add a key input to manually wet/mess? No stress if it isn't doable. My main request however in future if you have the patience to do so, would be if you are willing to try making a version of the diapers and outfits for the type 4 body mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66903 Because even when using cbbe I had to manually adjust them in outfit studio. I don't know if it was because I stuff something up with another body mod first or not, but I prefer the way the other one looks. Ultimately your choice regardless though :3 That said, so far I love your mod. thanks a bunch for adding diapers to NV.

I can add something to manually wet/mess. Probably not a key input, at least not until I can figure out the keybind bug. But they can easily be regenerating aid items "laxative" and "diuretic" that simply trigger the accident script.

I don't really intend on making many body conversions, as it's kinda my least favorite part of the process. I did realize that CBBE's conversion sliders only work in one direction, though. So I made my own conversion slider that turns CBBE into Type 4. I tinkered with it a little bit and I converted the disposable diaper, shortalls and t-shirt with no issue. When I was converting the school uniform and the hoodie, I couldn't get them to look very good due to low poly counts. So, I might try to find better models for them later. Same goes for the cloth diaper, as it's model is very tedious to work with.

Additionally, there is a really good tutorial series on YouTube for Outfit Studio. She uses Skyrim in it, but most of the concepts still apply to New Vegas.

I used this one specifically to make the conversion slider:

You don't need to add this now, but I wanted to suggest eventually adding stat bonuses to the shirts and other outfits. The diapers themselves don't need a stat bonus. I recommend something like Barter +5 Speech +5 Charisma +1. it would give people more incentive to use them over vanilla outfits. its the same bonus as Vera's outfit from dead money. I felt it might be a good bonus to help afford more diapers and talcum powder. Also it won't invalidate any armor that way either, and be on par with other vanilla clothing. Also would you mind converting the sneakers? its the last thing I'll ask. the rest is working great. I did manage to convert them manually myself, but they look a little funny.

Yeah, when converting the sneakers, it's best to just do it manually and not use the conversion slider.
I added in a diuretic and laxative for manual wetting/messing, and took your suggestion for adding extra stats to the clothes.

I also tweaked the level lists so hopefully the diapers appear more frequently when looting.

Still looking into finding replacements for the school uniform, hoodie, and cloth diaper. New version is posted.

are the diapers supposed to work on npcs visually? because they show up invisible when I equip one on a follower.

I didn't explicitly design them to, but script-wise there shouldn't be an issue there, as all the texture swaps and such are entirely centered around the player. I'm not sure why they wouldn't work though, but I have a few ideas.

The diapers use an equipment slot known as "Body Addon 3", I couldn't find any answers as to whether or not NPCs can equip things in that slot or not. Also, it seems that "Body Addon 3" items don't render on the player unless you're in third person. I imagine this is a way to save resources. So maybe try going into third-person after equipping a follower.

I don't see anything else that would cause a conflict, so I'm not sure why it doesn't work.

Is it possible for you to make a crafting recipe for the talcum powder at workbenches, if you don't mind? I'd suggest making it from Abraxo cleaner, since you find it everywhere. I just figured since you have to often buy it from a vendor, and you need it to not have the speech/charisma penalty, having a way to craft it would be handy. Especially if someone doesn't have much charisma in their build.

Took your suggestion and made a recipe for the talcum powder. All it needs is one abraxo cleaner. Initially, the powder was meant to only prevent status debuffs for the diaper you're currently wearing. But I decided to have it also clear any dirty diaper debuffs. I also lowered the price so it's more affordable.

I haven't had any issues with the #2 script so far, but feel free to report any bugs you find with it.

On a sidenote, I think I managed to fix the "save game disposal bug".

New version is live.

So it seems to be effecting my charisma constantly, and it won't return to 10. its now stuck at 5. I might just have to use player.modav to fix it for now.

Are you playing with bathing needs on? It won't work if you have bathing needs enabled because I felt that was kinda cheap.
Personally I don't really care for the bathing need, so it's mostly remained untouched.
