spartan40 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Hello, I have been having trouble with the 7B0 Barbarian Explorer armor replacer, I know I have all of the files I used Mod-Manager and then inserted the .nif file into the right area of Mod Manager; but I have the following Mesh error. At least I assume it's a Mesh error. This is where I got the original file: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54163/? And this is the issue: I'm sure it's something I've done wrong; I'm wondering if it's because I'm using TBBP instead of BBP? I'm also using HDT along with TBBP. I'm sure that's the case. Any help would be welcome. Thank you. EDIT: So it seems that I am slowly starting to fix what went wrong. I think I may have inserted the 7B body at some point instead of the 7BO body, fixed that but I still get this: some clipping around the knees: So it seems that it just may have been some major clipping brought on by the wrong body mesh to begin with - sorry about that. But I think I have everything right at this time. So if the Clipping is normal thats fine - at least I didn't cause it. But if its not suppose to be their I left wondering what more I have not done? Those are just too many armors, converting them is just a chore.. I'd rather focusing on doing that armor scythe_girl_by_victorbang-d63sbwg.jpg Wait, I already converted those ??? yea i think you did some. I think these are some of them. that armor looks good can't wait to try it. Which files in the original mod should I overwrite with these? I tried doing it best guess but the dragon armors just cause CTD, so any assistance would be nice. Similar assistance re: Alduin Queen would also be nice. As it was made for 7BO, I think 7b is the preferred version. I am going to give you an example of how you are going to do this. The given method is for dragonbone armor: 1. Install the 7b replacer version first. Then unpack the 'skimpy 7BO.rar' file you have downloaded. 2. Make a copy of the 'dragonbonearmor_1 7bo.nif'. 3. Rename the 'dragonbonearmor_1 7bo' to 'dragonbonearmorf_1' and rename the copy of 'dragonbonearmor_1 7bo' to 'dragonbonearmorf_0'. 4. Go to your installed skyrim directory, then go to 'data\meshes\armor\dragonbone' directory. 5. Copy the two files you have just renamed and paste them in the above directory. Overwrite when asked. 6. Test it in the game. If your are still getting CTD see if you have installed a TBBP skeleton.

This is the file that I'm using to replace the original Mesh with: Have you renamed the file correctly and replaced both 0_weight and 1_weight files properly? If you have done everything mentioned then there should not be any problem. Because I am also using it without having any kind of issues. Edit: Sorry man. Guess I looked at 'Lingerie Explorer', not 'Barbarian Explorer' This should fix the clippings. Please check and give your feedback: GothiChixBE_7BO v3.rar

I know now that I have installed everything correctly. However I really do this its a problem with the mesh. Again thanks for the help. Please check my previous post again for the fix.

However the Gothic/Barbarian Explorer seems to have no feet. hehe The clipping is gone but so are her feet . OH! and just wondering but when I opened your file in the .nif viewer I couldn't see the armor at all. I know that the individual nodes are there; its just blank when I'm looking at the side screen. EDIT: Again thanks a bunch for your help I really wish I knew how to use the .nif editor better than I do. And just how to do modding like some of the amazing things that are on LL. This is a way cool community.

I had this problem for the longest before I figure out it was because of the animations. Using TBBP animations with HDT can cause clipping. It really sucks. I wish someone would make non-tbbp versions of some animations, but for now I'm using www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13272 I don't think a lot of people know this, and it needs to be known.

I wish someone would make non-tbbp versions of some animations, but for now I'm using www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13272 I don't think a lot of people know this, and it needs to be known. Use the above fix I have posted. If you use HDT then you will always have some bounce even if you don't use TBBP/BBP animations. Besides I don't think he wants the armor without any bounce 1

Actually most of sunwalker's conversions requires you to do some work (read the note on main page under "Sunwalker" conversts). I'd do that myself if there were not so many parts of that armor. It's no fun just pain On your last feedback pics I didn't see any clippings. Did they occur after the 'feet fix'? Please elaborate and post some pics if you can. Thanks for your feedback.

I'm not sure if I have the same exact issue as he's attempting to describe but I think I've encountered something along those lines. Most animations make the breasts sink into the chest making them appear flat. Sometimes even inverted so that small craters appear where mounds should be. EDIT: I managed to solve my own problem by switching to the stable version of HDT instead of the latest.

Honestly this doesn't bother me either but the color is still that "chrome - ish" look to it like I showed you in the pictures. But again it doesn't bother me. I didn't get this mod to be "lore" friendly. Its a fantasy game Thanks a bunch for taking all of the time you have thus far to work on these meshes! You have mad ninja like Modding skills. Feedback: 100/100 Thank you sir! To have the different colors you have to change the texture paths of the meshes yourself. Actually most of sunwalker's conversions requires you to do some work (read the note on main page under "Sunwalker" conversts). I'd do that myself if there were not so many parts of that armor. It's no fun just pain On your last feedback pics I didn't see any clippings. Did they occur after the 'feet fix'? Please elaborate and post some pics if you can.Thanks for your feedback. Refat, Here are the pictures you requested: Their is slight clipping around the left breast, lots of clipping around the knees while in sneak mode. Also I did read Sunwalkers Note on the first page that I would have to use the CK or edit the mesh path ways however it would be great if someone would be able to post a "how-to" or a "read me" of some kind I'd gladly try doing it myself and help out with it if I can. - Or even if you just point me in the right direction I'd be willing to do some research and see into how its done.
