Carnalitas Dei Unofficial Update 2.6

An unofficial, community made update for Cheri's Carnalitas Dei to make it compatible with CK3 v12.x aka "Scythe". This update extends the work of Kieva's unofficial community patch. This does not add or remove any content, it just updates the code to hopefully minimize crashes.

 

Changes in this version:

 

  • Added flag: travel_point_of_interest_religious to special buildings
  • Minor edit: 00_core_tenets.txt changed "Carn Mundi" to "Carn Dei" 
  • Minor edit: 00_bon.txt changed "Carn Mundi" to "Carn Dei", added DeathDeityHerHim = CHARACTER_HERH to Bon
  • Minor edit: 00_christianity changed "Carn Mundi" to "Carn Dei", added DeathDeityHerHim = CHARACTER_HERH to Bon
  • Minor edit: 00_taoism added DeathDeityHerHim = CHARACTER_HERH to Bon
  • Major edit: Added an override for 00_judaism.txt to remove lustful from sins and add doctrine = carnd_doctrine_lust_shunned

other mods that list Carnalitas as a prerequisite

 

Compatibility

Requires Carnalitas
Compatible with mods that ADD new religions, doctrines, or tenets in separate files.

NOT Compatible with mods that EDIT the vanilla religion files, in particular the following:

common\religion\doctrines\00_core_tenets

common\religion\religions\00_bon

common\religion\religions\00_christianity

common\religion\religions\00_judaism

common\religion\religions\00_taoism

Localization Notes:

All the translations included here are the ones from the last version of Carn Dei. All localizations from the previous version should still work with this version.

So does anyone else have the issue of not seeing any of the new doctrines/tenets? I think it may be because I'm using a big mod like MB+ but I'd love for these to work together. And Carnalitas Dei is loaded after it so it should overwrite it but that isn't happening either.

This is standalone. Replace Carn Dei with this mod in your load order.

The religion mods conflict with each other. This is meant to replace the previous Carn Dei. If you are running any other religion mod it may overwrite the changes made here. Check the compatibility notes. If you have any specific issues even after that please report them here so I can investigate them.

I think the issue is that the religion file is named with the default file name, 00_core_tenets so even if you put Dei lower in the load order, other mods with some religion changes will override that aspect.


For example with MB+, MB+ has custom doctrines and tenets. The doctrines of Dei and MB+ both show up because their files are named with custom .txt names but because Dei's tenets are in a default file name .txt, MB+ overwrites that completely. And of course I replaced the old Dei.

My suggestion is to rename the 00_core_tenets to something else.

When checking the Chinese localisation, I found that Carnalitas Mundi 2.5b Chinese localisation is missing, I made this Chinese localisation based on the lonewolf1516602's partial localisation and my personal understanding.

The tenet youthful leadership has a bug. If your heir is 40 you can no longer abdicate. The option to abdicate was available before she turned 40.

 

I had hoped to abdicate then immediately abdicate again so my heir's 22 year old heir could then take over.

I got a "Path in mod descriptor file is invalid or does not exist" error for the latest version of both Dei and Mundi. I edited the mod files to update the path and it's fixed; not sure if something went wrong with my installations or if it needs to be updated in the mods themselves.

 

Also, Dei is still showing the old supported version number.

This is likely my fault with the original patch, open the .mod file and remove the first / so it reads as " mod/ "  not "/mod/"

Open the Mod file with a text editor (notepad works) and update the final line. Mine looks like this:

path="C:/Users/Admin/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/mod/Carnalitas Dei 2.6"

I have no clue what you are talking about. I have the same problem but I have no idea what you are describing that can solve my problem. Is there any other way you can describe that? Do I alter any of the folders or do I have to do something with the zip file it comes from?
