I tested this on a pre-1.6 version of Skyrim. Female character.

I tested J'Zhargo's scrolls. Went back to JZ and he says he wants to show me something but I won't remember it. Sex scene follows.

Wanting to see if other characters had the hypno ability unlocked, I started pestering everyone at the college and in town, initiating dialog with pretty much everybody. I found nobody using hypnotism except for JZ. He doesn't always use it, and sometimes says he doesn't have time for this after he initially uses the hypno conversation.

So, yeah, at present it's hard to figure out the mechanics of how the hypnotism skill spreads. And I have no examples (AFAICT) of JZ using a hypnotic suggestion for stripping or masturbation at any certain time of day. Can't tell yet if that feature works under the conditions I'm using (I don't have the special spell book. It wasn't offered).

Aside from suggestions I've made in other comments (ability to restrict/pick who uses hypnosis) I would love to see this mod augmented by the "thoughts" system Emily1673 devised.

I have a debug button (F4) to trigger/test the NPC hypnotize PC event. You can try it and see if the event is running.

They are harmless but sure, I will make a wrapper around this script to reduce/hopefully remove the log spam.

If you change gender option and change to male. Will you learn from J'zargo or became a test subject?

 

This is how you make a spell to hypnotist, thank you very much.  One day, like to make a mod and use this as a requirement. Have Serana to be the super badie. Like she learns from J'zargo, does a trick move on J'zargo to think Serana a male. Vamps swing both ways and lore wise, vamps in fiction writing will do this. Working on a quest for Serana as a hobby.

Kind of a request, but can you change the same sex option into actually allowing you to pick the gender you want to hypnotize (Male, Female, Both)?

Negatory on that, mate. I have the same problem as the others, and F4 dosn't seem to do anything. Clean save game. 

 

Also, was there supposed to be anything else after Jzargo has sex with the female PC? After saying she won't remember it?

Well no, the Jzargo quest was simply a way to add animation spell for male PC or random play mind control sex animation with female PC, I didn't add anything more for it yet.
If F4 doesn't do anything that mean the random hypnosis quest isn't running.

Ideas:

 

- Trapped objects (e.g. chests) that can reduce Will and/or place triggers.

- Have a chance for potions to affect Will by a small amount. Either increase, decrease or a chance for either.

- Have potions to increae or decrease Will by a larger amount that can be purchased or found in loot. Would be interesting to not know which until you drink it, but also be more likely to reduce Will.

- Have a hypnosis event where the PC is made to drink a Will reduction potion.

- Have a trigger that makes the player always drink Will potions when looted.

- Occasionally, the Courier comes up to you and hands you an innocent looking note. When read, itreduces Will and/or implants a trigger.

- Put a trigger to make the PC say embarassing things: Once implanted, there is a chance that when dialogue is started with a NPC, the player says something like, "I am a slut" before the main dialogue starts. Have a bunch of things that could be said.

- Some hooks into other mods to trigger things. This will be if those mods are installed, not make them a dependancy. Maybe have MCM options to detect the mods and select if they are to be triggerable. Some examples:
    - Bimbos of Skyrim: Gain Corruption

    - Love Sickness: Trigger the Love Sick effect

    - MME: Drink a Lactacid if in inventory

    - Devious Devices: Check for unequipped DD items and equip one or more of them

A little update on this one from my side.  When I press f4, a message pops up saying "Now Debug", and if I don't change location and just wait, nothing happens. No one approaches my character, no scenes play no matter how long I wait. However, if I press f4, wait for the message "Now Debug", and change location (go to a tavern or use fast travel for example), then a random NPC will immediately talk to my character and everything will play out as it should. But only once. After that, there will be no scenes or approaches again until I press f4 again and change location.

I was having similar problems. It looks like the both the harassment quest and the routine methods of the speechcraft check have a lot of potential for script errors that can cause problems, including some potentially infinite loops. I tried cleaning up the scripts and it seemed to help them fire more consistently.  Fixes would need a clean save to take effect however.

 

Oh, I left some debugging crap in there so just ignore any odd notifications you get

Any chance we could get the option to rebind the debug hotkey in the MCM? I've got so many keys bound already including F4 in my game and I'd like to be able to keep them as is. Thanks for such a fun little mod by the way! Can't wait to see where the future plans take this mod!

A lot of potential but... doesn't really work with me.
The quest doesn't start, and i if I use the Id, the dialogue option doesn't come.
The debug fonction works, as well as the patch but...
After several hypnosis sessions, the dialogue ends in the middle of the hypnosis, and the NPC gets stuck in place.

And the routine changes don't work on PC.

Actually, If the index down to 0 then the while condition (index && flag) will fail and exit so we don't need a failsafe there. Still, I'll study your patch for more consistently. Thanks for your fix.

I know, just didn't take that out after I added the else block. The whole failsafe thing isn't really the best way to handle it, I was just trying to avoid altering your logic too much so I didn't break anything.

If I was to make a suggestion for a quest, have someone who is interested in trying to take power.  This NPC hypnotizes your character and turns you into a sleeper agent that he can trigger to help him get closer to Elisif and hypnotize her to be his sex slave.

First of all, this is the best mind control themed mod I found so far, so I want to thank you for the content.

I would like to suggest to add more customization in the MCM menu, like choosing what sex NPC can try to hypnotize who (for example choosing only lesbo events can occur or only male who try to hypnotize woman or so). Then I would like to report some bugs: I downloed first the mod version 1.01 and I could place triggers on hypnotized NPC, then I upgraded in version 1.02 and the dialouge option to place triggers dissapeard, but the NPC with triggers still have the option to hypnotize them via trigger. Another bug is that for some reason yesterday the f4 button to force a hypnosis event on player woked, now it doens't work anymore, I would add a mcm option also for that. Sorry for my bad english and Thank You

You could add an NPC->follower hypnosis where they take your follower for a day. They could have sex, take items, fight for them while this happens. If the PC is good enough at hypnosis they could take the follower back right away too instead of needing to wait. I really like the idea of this mod, anything that makes NPCs do something that doesnt always involve the player is a plus for me

have had good experiences with the fixes by linkdeath. now that i've gotten to enjoy the game some, i would like to give a couple points of feedback.
firstly, i think it would be greatly appreciated if the mcm options were expanded somewhat. the current ones don't seem to limit who approaches me for hypnosis nor what they might do. i'd personally like a bit more control over what npcs can approach the player and where.

secondly, i'd appreciate if there was a bit more variety in actions they might take. there are several interesting options with the current rules that get applied to your character, but it seems they can only happen once, and then never expire? after a number of hours and many approaches, it feels like after the first handful of approaches all the rules were applied, and every approach after was just a coin toss between being ordered to masturbate or being used for sex.
i'm sure there are a number of ways to approach this, but my own suggestion (which i don't know enough about mod scripting to know feasibility) would be to have a limit to number of ongoing hypnosis effects. being forced to masturbate at dawn *or* midnight *or* have sex with someone at random at noon or so on. instead of them all getting activated quickly then never touched again.

third, i am exceedingly weak to watersports, and it'd make my month if that side of the mod was expanded some. omorashi is great and all but watersports has such a range of fun to be had and i genuinely cannot find any mods at all that go anywhere with that. beyond troubles of heroine i suppose, but that has a bit too much of a couple other kinks i'm not into for my taste. (if nothing else, allowing the order to wet myself be allowed to happen more than once would be wonderful. it happened in literally the first approach of my current run and then never repeated again)

still, regardless of my thoughts on ways it could be improved, i greatly appreciate the mod as it exists already. it adds some much needed variety to the flavor of approaches that can occur, and will likely stay in my modlist for a long time to come.

I'll start by saying when it comes to implementation and workload, I'm not at all familiar with the potential extra work my suggestion(s) would entail.

 

Overall, a much welcomed improvement/addition to idea of hypnosis being added to Skyrim.

The quest for J'zargo is good but a bit lacking in potential on the female side. It's be interesting if he also started doing similar things like the normal npc's with the various commands they do. Could be an added bonus if you were to take him as a follower on a female PC, J'zago could then further his experimenting on the spell. Such as duration, types of commands, and the like. Whereas, if the PC is male, you could further discuss this spell with him and help his research through choosing npc targets and such.

 

When it comes to the MCM menu I'd like to suggest:

- Status Page:

1. Tracks you will level.

2. Shows the various "commands" currently affecting the player.

    - It could be broken down to show "Masturbate in the morning: Active" for an example.

3. Tracks the will level and affects on your follower. Should the player choose to be the hypnotist.

    - I believe this one is mostly optional since most users would probably prefer the random npc element of the mod or just to randomly hypnotize certain npcs of their choosing that aren't followers.

4. Shows if the random hypno event is active.

   - It's hard to tell if the random hypno event is active or not. Even after completing the quest(s) for J'zargo.

 

- Settings Page:

1. Could use separate toggleable options to select the gender of npc that are allowed to initiate the random event.

2. Could use a toggleable option to select if followers are allowed to also trigger hypno events on the player.

3. The option to assign a hotkey used for Debug.

 

In the end, these are just some ideas that came to mind while giving the mod a go. I'm definitely going to be keeping track on the progress of this mod as it has currently found a home in my modlist. Though, at time of writing, I'm currently only able to the get the random event to fire when I use the Debug hotkey at present.

Hello! I have an overhaul for the College of Winterhold installed, so the journal wasn't there, and I had to use Additemmenu to get it. However, the dialogue doesn't appear for me with NPCs. What should I do? Thanks in advance!

Did you read the book? You need to read it once for the dialogue to appear

After playing with this mod for a while I've only actually seen one hypnosis event. Right after I installed it I got hypnotised to masturbate but that's it, no NPCs or me. Do you need to do J'zargo's stuff before anyone uses hypnosis, or just before you can use hypnosis?

After a scene ends through this mod my character locks up and nothing can unfreeze them, no interact buttons work or anything. What could be causing this?

On a longer save, this mod stops working altogether. I get no approaches nor do I see NPCs going up to each other anymore either. I suspect something in the script has stalled out.
