Mailamea
Recently installed my new gfx card, and blender 2.49 got borked suddenly, i mean it works fine, but the camera stretches when im trying to edit something and sculpt something, for example when i zoom the camera gets fixed, but once i move the mouse or do something the screen distorts or stretches, zooming in and out fixes it but it gets so annoying. So is there any nifscript or a way to import nifs in blender 2.6? Link to comment
ZaZ
There Are Nif Scripts For 2.6 but they are in the Alpha Stages IIRC I don't Recommend it . http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Import-Export/Nif However you Can Open the Blend File in 2.6 ........ edit , Export as Obj , Dae And re Import into 2.49b ... Sounds Messy But it works , I have 2 blender installations in Different Drives Also the trouble your mentioning seems like ....... blenders orthographic view toggle http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Manual/3D_interaction/Navigating/3D_View Cheers and Good Luck Link to comment
gerra6
I had the same problem The problem is that many graphics cards mistake Blender for a video game and start applying lots of inappropriate effects. I was able to fix it by going into my video card settings, creating a profile for my blender executable, and turning off all of the settings. If your driver won't let you create a profile, try just disabling the default settings until you find the one that fixes the problems you are having. As far as 2.6x versions of Blender. I would love it if we could use it. I keep planning on porting my scripts to Python 3 and Blender 2.6x, but it won't do anyone here any good until the next version of nifscripts is up and running. Ill try fixing the view. Link to comment

No , Don't Open a Blend 2.6 Saved Blend File in Blender 2.49 the Faces are Lost in the process , you will Have to re face all Instead , Export as an .obj or .dae from Blender 2.6 and Import it in Blender 2.49 Cheers Link to comment

ZaZ
The Work Flow is Such , 1.Import the Body , Skeleton , Mesh Etc in 2.49b Start always with 2.49b . Save your work 2.Open the Saved Blend File in 2.6 3.Edit the mesh but don't Rig and weight , (Editing is easier in 2.6 ) 4.Export only the Edited mesh in .dae or .obj 5.Import the the edited .obj or .dae in 2.49 and Weight , Etc 6 Export as Nif from 2.49 This is a mess and a pain , but it works atleast till the scripts are out Cheers Link to comment

That looks okay and you should know better You can also Convert the Triangles , Back to Quads and Cary on with your normal Workflow . there maybe some discrepancies but , they are minimal I used .Dae , and was successful Cheers Link to comment

I wouldn't really recommend doing that. Link to comment
gerra6
True, but with my Boneweight copy script, that's probably not a big deal. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/24393-blender-scripts-package/ I also plan on creating a stand-alone version once I finish the stand-alone version of Seam Mender.
