Cursed DD Enchantings - Redux²

Im not to sure why but i cant seem to get any traps to trigger.  I have chances set to 100 but nothing seems to happen.  I just now downloaded the text doodad and goin to give it a try.

Make sure the quests are running. It make take a long time to start with a lot of mods loaded.

I checkedd and these all seem to be enabled and running.  I tried opening loot and taking 1 item at a time and turned the debug show rolls on but it still hasnt triggered an event yet.  Would it be because im using controller to play maybe?

I have AAF 1.6.1 beta if that also makes any difference to this new version?

You mean 1.1.1b? That's the latest.

I checkedd and these all seem to be enabled and running.  I tried opening loot and taking 1 item at a time and turned the debug show rolls on but it still hasnt triggered an event yet.  Would it be because im using controller to play maybe?

I have AAF 1.6.1 beta if that also makes any difference to this new version?

Is it on a new game? I find its better to start the game with the mod disabled, make your character, do the vault then make a hardsave, exit and  then activate the mod (in MO2) and that seems to work.

I got the new 1.1.1b AAF and tried again, but still nothing happens.  Devious Devices 2.0_RC9_Beta2_HotFix is the current verison i have for devious. is the KFT and moisturies mods hard requirements now, i dont have those if that could be why it stops all events from working.  My mod list is probaly quite ancient now, the previous DD cursed i had was 1.93.8 and that one had worked ok

You can slap me :P i added both the KFT and moistuerise mod and used the bat file and first corpse looted it triggerd and works.

This mod is not need the moisturizer, I turned it off a long time ago - and all works well. But the Bo57_Quests restart needed periodically. This is a weak place of this mod.


A question: how to run the batch? I can't guess or find info. I does it manually every time.

download the text file and put it in the fallout 4 main folder where the exe is, then when your in-game use the console and type bat *file name*.  I renamed it to just kick so for me its "bat kick" to use it

I think it still needs Commonwealth Moisturizer for the tentacle parasite to work correctly (=for the parasite to 'evolve' after you get it).
At least that was my experience a couple of versions ago. 

I was not using ComMoisturizer at the time.  Parasite did not work. I went as far as doing a second almost clean FO4 installation to troubleshoot .... turned out, all I needed to do was install ComMoisturizer....


PS: loot script still bugs out on me on the current version when I trigger a 2nd parasite trap while already wearing one.
When that happens, the "kickstart" procedure with the commands / batch file can solve it.   (alas, I prefer loading a prior save when that happens. just to be safe)

Well I've blundered and fumbled my way through getting almost everything working with one bewildering exception.  I can't seem to get the mod to recognize that I've got Angeli's TechSuit installed.  I thought it might be due to a change in the mod so I tried both versions, no difference.  I thought it might have to do with load order, the TechSuit is around 40, DDCE is in the 180 range, but I'm too chicken to change that without someone who at least sounds like they know what they're doing telling me it's a good idea :)

 

Has anyone else run into this and solved it?  I tried goggle searching this thread but Angeli only shows up twice and not for my issue and that's about all the brainpower I can muster.

Might still work. The tech suit has its own body and associated body textures. Just make sure to generate the body in BodySlide.

is there any way to stop the parasite from being removed during sex scenes? it also removes itself afterwards stopping it from progressing towards the next transformation

This code is the bouncer at the club's door  and "bTrapCheckActive" is the door's lock.

"Take All" is a mad rush towards the door and all the items that got a roll got past the bouncer before the door could be locked.

 

Note that a fix for this could be to have this OnItemAdded event handler *only* set a flag indicating that an item has been freshly looted and have the trap handling code run shortly after in some "guaranteed to only run once" context.

 

Which, granted, is a little difficult for me to figure out. (Is it possible to get an OnClose event for containers?)

OnClose and OnOpen events has to be attached to the container itself.

"OnMenuOpenCloseEvent" with a RegisterForMenuOpenCloseEvent("ContainerMenu") might be better.

Current solution uses a timer. Every item added with a Loot All will cancel & reset the timer. When the timer expires the trappy stuff happens.

There is a built-in delay. The delay length is determined by how many mods are loaded and is intended to allow supported mods complete loading and to avoid the mad rush of every mod starting up at the same time. It can take a few minutes.

Within this mod, you'll find a file under the AAF directory called "DD_Enchantings_protectedEquipmentData.xml" which contains the formids of keywords that AAF skips when stripping clothing. It includes keywords assigned to the parasite. So AAF won't strip them, but... it also depends on the mod starting the sex scenes and what it does leading up to the scene. Pervert, at one time, intentionally removed all DD items including ones that used the Devious Device quest item keyword. Don't know if it still does it now.

It also depends on what version of the parasite you are using. There's the plain version from DD that doesn't transform that uses the CBBE body. The FG body version is the one that transforms.

So i noticed now that Commonwealth Moisturizer causes the crash on startup in the character creation menu after waiting for like 30 seconds. So i am doing something wrong, Sorry for the false alarm.
