Could someone who hasn't updated just share their version in an archive? Without the mods folder

if your PC supports restore points, you can always revert your xxmi back to how it was from that option. be mindful this takes pretty good chunk of time to complete and it will also literally revert everything not just xxmi back to date you selected too

https://github.com/SpectrumQT/XXMI-Launcher/releases --- this could also help revert back but im not sure

Those guys have run out of options,
and since Japanese people in general no longer accept their “games” at all,
they’ve been running wild with criminal acts since the start of this year.
Even here, they’re engaging in a slew of petty harassment and sabotage.

Is this petty harassment really where a bunch of robbers, murderers, rapists, plagiarists, and cat killers
have ended up?

No wonder Japanese people won’t play the “games” of Japan’s criminal and terrorist industries.

What the fuck did I wake up to?

This is usually where I'd reply to all the idiots panicking and spreading misinformation with a large post explaining the situation to the best of my abilities, but no, I'm on break, this guy posting above me seems legitimately insane and I don't wanna deal with that.

So y'know, flail your arms about, piss and moan like normal and come up with all kinds of baseless conspiracies to vent your anger on, I'm not letting this be my problem.

Spoiler

As already mentioned, a temp fix is to downgrade your XXMI to 0.9.2 via Spectrum's github.

  1. Grab the XXMI PACKAGE download from the link above.
  2. Open your WWMI folder where it d3d11.dll is
  3. Replace d3d11.dll with the one you just downloaded
  4. Open XXMI launcher
  5. Click the settings cog in the top left > Click advance > Click the "Unsafe Mode" box (This just lets you use a non-up to date DLL

Congrats, you've now downgraded to the previous version, it's not like any of you were gonna use the new features anyway.

In short, WuWa 3.6 is switching to C#, so the XXMI update is either a somewhat ill-timed, proactive response to that, or an unlucky coincidence

You can still run XXMI v0.9.2 by turning off Auto Update and manually installing the files aidan mentioned

I just tried it and it works

upd.
https://github.com/SpectrumQT/XXMI-Libs-Package/releases#release-v0.9.2

I unpacked this into \XXMI.Launcher.v.1.3.8\Resources\Packages\XXMI, and it seems to be working.

That gives us hopefully 3 more peaceful days until the 3.6 update, which is already expected to cause issues due to the coding language shift

Then we do what we always do: communicate, share info and root for all the cool peeps who work hard bringing us fixes as quickly as possible

OMG,  I thought I was the only one having this problem

Yesterday I noticed WWMI seemed to update really quickly.

After that, when I launched the game, it would often get a fatal error around 80% on the loading bar.

Even when I managed to get into the game, everything looked hollow and transparent.

I just tried launching the game normally through the official launcher and noticed that the shaders were being recompiled.

If I don't launch the official launcher, I don't seem to trigger this update at all.

I wonder if the two things are related

Spectrum is maintaining this high demanding and complicated project basically single-handedly and almost for free and all he gets for a mistake is hate from all the arrogant fucks users. Sadly I understand why many people stopped doing things for free.

nah everyone is gratful as ever, not to mention the solution was provided immediately "the ver downgrade" here and in AGMG

few random fucks represent themselves

hell, he literally updated XXMI 3 hours ago to fix the wuwa issue

[v1.0.2]: Fixed reported issues (WuWa freeze on start & ghost on quit; random objects disappearance)

Only these listed in the last update work for now, so i recommend deleting the rest.

And i linked many of them to use the Loading Screen mod for the backgrounds. So the Loading Screens mod is now required if you want backgrounds. There is a little issue though, you have to click once sometimes if the background doesn't show immediately.

figured it wouldnt take long for a fix. the people that deal with this kinda stuff should know that things break occasionally, and its not some kind of conspiracy to do something that wouldnt even make sense from their standpoint

In the end, issues like loading errors weren’t resolved.
Plus, crashes caused by updates at inexplicable times—
if you do something that raises suspicion, anyone would be suspected.

I’m grateful to those who offer solutions or provide the source data,
but I wonder what third parties would think of this.
After all, this is also the collective responsibility of everyone who has gone along with the underhanded practices that originated in the Japanese gaming industry.

Whether it’s a Chinese game, an American game, or a game from anywhere else.
