Ahh, the predictability of human behaviour.

 

TLDR: You can't.

 

Most WuWa mods use "merged skeleton" which ties the vertex groups of all components together, it's a convenient system that makes modding MUCH easier for the modder 'cus it allows them to weight paint everything at once instead of having to try and match things component by component.

Since merged skeletons bind everything together though, it means that trying to replace a component with another component will break the mod.

 

In your case, lets say the body is on Comp 3 of Mod A, and your clothes are on Comp 4 of Mod B.

If you disable Comp 4 on Mod A, and disable Comp 3 on Mod B, then you technically aren't overlapping components because each mod makes up for the other's deactivated component, but the problem is that both mods expect specific vertex data from those Components as a part of the merged skeleton, and so when they receive data from a different mod, it screws the pipeline causing a vertex explosion, aka the mod breaks.

So you can't just "mash" 2 mods together unless both mods are "per-component" where each individual component is handled separately. In that case, you can sorta get away with it, but it has its own issues.

 

You also can't just transfer mesh data from one mod to another. Mesh data is applied to all components, so even if you did try to setup a complicated toggle/resource system to swap meshes in order to introduce a specific draw call (the clothes for example), it'd fuck up the rest of the component in the process, since the shared resources path (part of the mod loading process) will just apply the donor mod's mesh data to the WHOLE component while the toggle condition is true.

 

The ONLY way you can actually transfer components from one mod to another without both of them being per-component, is to reverse both mods into Blender and manually port the clothes onto the other mod's body mesh, but from there you'd have to merge the UVs, edit the clothes so they actually fit the new body properly and thus re-weight everything by which point you've put in enough effort to just be a modder yourself. 

 

The face/makeup part is fine though, as long as the face doesn't have a custom mesh (that's like 99.9% of mods so you're probably fine) then you can just drop in replace the face texture. Copy the face texture (It'll be Component 2 blah blah blah) and paste it into the textures folder of the mod you want the face texture on, make sure you're REPLACING the existing texture, the new texture has to have the exact same name as the old one otherwise the .ini won't recognise it.

 

Modding can be complicated so keep this in mind when asking for shit: Mesh edits are a no-go, never ask anyone to do mesh edits for you because the answer will always be no, texture edits are doable but can take a lot of effort.

on the topic of modding i wanna steal a bit of your time and ask is there tutorial of sort i can watch i just started learning and got pretty confused on the whole match weight paint thing. let say i wanna use my body over the og but keep the head do i have to match all the vertex groups of the og body on mine?

I’ve tried using various versions of RabbitFX, but they all have the same problem; the only one that doesn't is version 7.5, though it still has a minor glitch with the skin texture, as shown in the image on the right.
If anyone is able to use this mod without issues, please try sending me the version of RabbitFX you are currently using.

im using 8.1 fix version. it works with all suisui mods.

dont forget to remove ShaderCache folder after changing rabbitfx version. its in WWMI folder

Is there a way that this doesn't also break 90% of my other mods? i've done all the above and it fixes the suisui mod however breaks all my other ones. My only conclusion is i have old mods that have gone through many fixers and i might just need to download fresh copies with 8.1? kinda stuck on 7.5 till i find answers...

im also using old mods with no problem. probably you used different mod fixes and they bricked your mods. like you said try to fresh mods or try to restore old ini files with moonholder fix. and do moonholder derived hashes fix first if it doesnt help try stable texture.and use fixer 1 by 1 for each mod. dont select "Mods" folder. thats what i did when moonholder 3.5 released.

Guys, please read the last couple pages.
TSZ was banned by Discord for "copyright infringement" (ironic since the mods shared were stolen assets, but I digress).
Mugen (the owner of the server) appealed it but if they stand by that decision, he/she isn't likely to start another server any time soon. There isn't any alternative other than Hui and kekehxl. So there is NO point in asking for DMs when a new one is made. Just wait and see.

As far as Slap goes, who knows if he was responsible. His actions could have been in response to "one guy" who leaked a mod and in turn revealed that "freeloaders" asking for mod support. Shitty to do? Yeah, considering he shouldn't even be making money from these cookie-cutter copypasta mods he does. But at this point, blaming anyone isn't gonna help. What can help, though, is sharing what links or files you find here. And hope for the best in the long run.

This is anoying as F! I have the same issue. When I use RabbitFX 8 or 8.1 this mod is ok but then my Zani gets an orange face (and only this one part of her changes) and my Agusta front hair changes into blue :D If I swith to  RabbitFX 7.5 Zani and Agusta are ok but Suisui is broken :(

Can someone help me? Nearly all my mods have broken textures.
I tried the newest moonholder hash fix and it didn't work.
Idk if this has anything to do with it but I've never had rabbitfx or mod managers, just fixed my mods multiple times with moonholder's previous code

I was able to replicate it but I did it for Aalto instead of Augusta and it worked fine. Maybe there are more optimal solutions but I'm not very knowledgeable on the nitty gritty details.

Just a little update: it's almost impossible to recover the server, so we've been rebuilding a new one from scratch since day one. I think the server's structure will be finished within the next 1–2 days, and then we'll rebuild the community together.

Maybe some of you thought we didn't have the courage to start over, but it's actually the opposite. We care deeply about this community, and we want it to keep enjoying modding alongside us. We’re not giving up.

This is great news, because the safe zone server wasn't just a place to download paid mods for free. It was a large community of people who could freely chat about Wuwa, other gacha games, modding, game art, and general media franchises. Furthermore, it was possible to quickly find answers to a variety of questions related to all of the above. If the server really was screwed because of that idiot, then that's very sad, and not because he's making money off of something he shouldn't, but because his "creativity" is pure crap (imo). Piracy of any content has always been and will always be, but those who genuinely want to buy something or support someone will do it, and this needs to be understood and accepted, rather than being outraged like a bitch, and especially not trying to harm people who probably don't need their crap for free. I'm sure most people on that server didn't care about mods from SLAP, or from any other "author." This is a complete injustice. One of the best mod authors, especially for Wuthering Waves, was forced to end his career due to copyright issues, but other untalented people continue to thrive, and because of them, platforms like this are being shut down.
