gsguns Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I installed the "Personalized Music" mod and right now, I'm configuring it to play the soundtracks I want. I already added some such as: Promentory, Gladiator and the LOTR music, but I need some others too. So please post some good soundtrack music, you like to listen to that fits with Skyrim
AwfulArchdemon Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Classical music is recommended (old-school piano) for keeps (especially Yarls' quarters). Metal when a fight breaks out, or when a dragon shows up (especially). Old-western style music is recommended when in taverns (old-school piani). RPG for in home (old school Persona). Soul Caliber music for outdoors exploration. My
Neko91 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 If you have access to Spotify, you might check out my "Skyrim Inspired" playlist and see if any of it's to your taste: http://open.spotify.com/user/lykus/playlist/53Jw0OEVQknBH11G5FHJ6q
AwfulArchdemon Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Bring more suggestions It's not that easy. I can give suggestions, but 'tracks' have copyrights and trademarks attached. Can't just upload exactly what I mean. Plus, I don't have any piani recorded. If people would give me links to the perfect way to use my kick-ass keyboard to give music to LL, then I would blow minds. (Electric guitar too, and mic). I've been dying to add music to the Lab. My guitar is......this: RIP: My HERO::> "Dimebag" Darrell Lance Abbott

Spyder Arachnid Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I use Personalized Music as well. I use a mash up of all kinds of stuff for mine, all to personal preference. I'll usually try to go with music that fits my game's atmosphere as well. When I was using Bleak ENB, it was all Silent Hill. But when I use HRK ENB and the Noble Skyrim retexture, I go for more of a fantasy feel in my music. Silent Hill A lot of the ambiance from any of the soundtracks makes some great dungeon music. Even some of the regular softer stuff is great for exploring. Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, etc Not really a fan of anime, but believe it or not, these actually had some really great classical pieces that fit perfectly in the game. Warcraft Come on. Who didn't see that coming? Tons of great music for exploring, plus gives a nice nostalgia feel when playing. Guild Wars Or really anything by Jeremy Soule. Same person who does music for Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, Everquest, Neverwinter, etc. Mass Effect 3 A lot of their emotional suites fit well into Skyrim. Just avoid the ones with reaper sounds. Assorted Classical Have you ever wandered around at night listening to Beethoven's 7th Symphony, Allegretto, Movement 2? Just beautiful. Tie in some Mozart and Vivaldi and you're set. Diablo II The theme for Tristam is awesome and brings back that old nostalgia feel when exploring in the evening or while in town. Another suggestion that I might add that I did. Go on the Nexus and look for music replacers. Download a bunch that seem interesting to you, and then add their music files to your Personalized Music. Use the Skyrim Audio Converter so you can listen to them (if they are in xwm format). Got a bunch of music that way as well by just download music mods I liked and adding their music files to my collection. If they are in bsa format, just use a BSA Extractor to use them. But hope those help. Would upload my version of Personalized Music, but with all the music I have, I don't think it would be okay to upload it here (copyright reasons and such and not sure how LL is about that stuff).
Jexsam Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I dunno about a whole soundtrack but there are a few songs I go for when playing Skyrim. Primarily by three bands/artists; Nest, Syven, and Adrian von Ziegler. Some samples: Nest - The Mire Syven - Syvyys Adrian von Ziegler - Winter Breath
cornbreadtm Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Conan the barbarian/destroyer soundtracks Guile theme
srayesmanll Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Love the personalized music mod, but I only use it for adding to the tavern music. I like most of the ambient music as is. For my tavern selections, I use 2 main artists (when not using the "Becoming a Bard" mod): Jon Anderson: "The Promise Ring" - this is a collection of irish style pub style music with Jon Anderson from Yes (go figure, with my login/avatar, right??) doing vocals. Not all fit, but most work well for in a pub setting. Blackmore's Night: Almost any song from any CD/Album/Download - this is Ritchie Blackmore from DeepPurple/Rainbow and Candace Night doing renaissance style music. Some are done with tranditional instrumentation, some wiith modern, but a huge majority of the songs fit nicely in the gameworld.
gsguns Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 I got a new track here but I don't know where it would fits. "Rains Of Castamere" instrumental version, which location would it fit in?
Guest Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Conan the barbarian/destroyer soundtracks Guile theme Guile theme Guile theme Because it goes with everything.
JustanotherFake72 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 For a character currently doing Smithing, got to go with the song in my quote "Lord of the Blacksmiths" by Falconer. Lyrics link is as follows http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/falconer/falconer.html#9 For being at the Bard's College might suggest "Lament of a Minstrel" by Falconer as well. Bloodfang Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I'm on the same boat as you, I used Thief : The Dark Project /Metal Age/Deadly Shadows Soundtracks by Eric Brosius for caves, dungeons, forts, Soul Cairn & Apo. It makes the environements more mysterious and some tracks were made for scary levels. I also used a few tracks from Assassin's Creed 2, Guild Wars Prophecies (best of all), and a lot from Soul Calibur 3 (few from 4), the soundtracks are really epic. Here one I really liked : Here's 2 others from Thief: Return to the Haunted Cathedral The Song of the Caverns I love Eric Brosius' work, so playing these tracks... omg it's just awesome lol. I'd also recommend the Shalebridge Cradle soundtrack if you liked the Return to the haunted cathedral soundtrack for Soul Cairn (or Apo')
Wast1980 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Here you can find some nice instrumental songs, also folk/pagan metal stuff: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSeJA6az0GrNM4_-pl3HQSQ Example:
Derpakiin Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I have this when walking and exploring Skyrim I use this one for particularly hard or massive fights.
