The built-in race traits and settings on the spacecraft console do not work.

The built-in race traits do work, but I would still love to see the FU BYOS support added

Hey! Big fan of this race, one friend and I think they would be amazing as proxys to play as goblins, I wonder if you could release a patch with some green coloration for character creation, I have the color palettes made already.

I forgot to add the palettes because I'm stupid XD

Um, I'm not sure why you chose to do it, but you saved basically all of your PNG files without any sort of compression at all.
I tried just a very quick and basic lossless compression, and it reduced the mod's size to almost 1/10th, without changing anything at all:

Lustlings-Compression.png

I'll attach the resulting .pak :3

I have been using paint.net and had a lot of issues with alpha channels, and with all the different compression choices, I never found one that worked (always seemed to brake the .png files)... perhaps you could tell me what methods you used.

Made a new character and I can't start up the ship, every time I interact with SAIL they reset the whole dialog thing. I can't teleport or do anything I'm completely soft locked on this new character. Even when the SAIL dialog ends, nothing happens

let me take a look at your log to see whats wrong

Problem here is lack of Enhanced Storage mod and having compatibility addon for it. So fix is removing that addon, filename "Enhanced Storage - Lustlings.pak" from mods folder or installing Enhanced Storage mod.

PS: Sorry for possible mistakes in text, English is not my first language.

Loving the Lustling race, but the traits doesn't seem to work. They show up in the list when you create a character, but they don't seem to work ingame.

Also for some reason no images I upload seem to show :S tried jpg and png

I downloaded the race trait mod from steam workshop since it said it was compatible with FU and that seems to work. Though feels a bit redundant to have 2 race trait mods 😛

Any updates on this? Just downloaded this today and it still says unsupported race in the tricorder, yet the race traits viewer from the Race Traits mod on Steam Workshop shows the traits as working. Not really sure what's going on lol.

Hello hello! Very cool mod here, just a few questions! Can you get Lustling crew members? Is there any other Lustling "dungeons" that exist besides Lustia?

yes you can get Lustling crew members, the same way you get other tenets. the lustling at the outpost sells furniture that will help spawn a lustling when you place a colony deed.

Just some info on this, the game will spawn a specific type of race on what type of furniture is placed inside the room with the colony deed. I created both a shop and a work station that will allow you to make or buy the furniture that will spawn the lustling using the colony deed system starbound runs on.

Besides Lustia .. no I had not created any camps or towns with them to spawn in.

just a quick question, I installed this mod recently and was wondering if the armor in the outfitter is the only armor this race has, or does it have its own craftable set like other races?

I made no race armor for the lustlings only race outfits that you get from the start and can make at the crafter. My trade off is the fact I have made a outfiter station that will modify an outfit from the base game or a supported mod to fit the lustling body. All these outfits from other mods were asked and got permission to use in this mod.

The short answer to why I made no custom race armor but took the time to convert over 500 armor sets from other mods and base game is because I cant art myself out of a paperbag.

Ok so this is a very interesting thing I myself came across when spending years on error hunting. What you are seeing is the game telling you that you do not have a item for a recipe to be used in your game, and that it is being ignored.

They are truly harmless and do not cause issues with game play and only pop up when the game loads as it is checking to see any new mods that have been installed.

So to give a bit of a background on why I have this in the mod is very simple, I want my mod to be as user friendly as possible, so the game checks to see if you have the outfits and if you don't it wont load them, but will throw the error up saying you don't have the outfits. Its so anyone with almost any load order can install my mod and have it work with no issues. I did try to have the game check to see if the mod is installed but found out its not quite how it works, some mod authors do put in a check in their mod so other mod authors can call up that check and skip the mod should it not be installed. Sadly most outfit mods do not do this and they are just simply placed in the game. rest assured I did spend a unreasonable amount of time trying to get the game to not post those errors, I was in talks with many modders from the likes of the SxB author and found its not possible unless both modders set up there mods to allow for such a check.

All in all because the error is harmless, nobody fixes it or adds in a method to check because in doing so will add in issues during game play for the game would be checking something that is being checked by an extra set of scripts that is not needed. This is needed in some cases when very heavy scripts are used in a mod that overhauls game play and putting said check in would allow other modders to skip or add in the mod in question, A good example of this being used is in the mod that adds traits to races, the author made it so you can put a check in a custom race mod for that trait mod and have it work so you wont need to edit or that author edit his traits race mod just for your race mod.

But because no modder has added in such a check in their quest mods like Shellguard, there is no way for me to put in a check in my mod for that mod being installed, all for just a edit on recipes for clothing.

TLDR: They are harmless errors, just saying you don't have the mod installed for the clothing\armor recipe in my lustling mod.
