Jexsam
Well at least they seem to have objectively nailed the chargen aspect of the game. I'd be hard pressed to believe even the most diehard hater could look at that and say it sucks. Link to comment
cornbreadtm
I would actually use one of those Argonians. Still would never use a Nord but those Argonians... I might actually play this. It has a monthly fee so I don't have to worry about PTW and children. Link to comment
Kain82
I like the fact you can make a muscular, thin or fat hero. Link to comment

I bought APB... Link to comment
Guest carywinton
Yep they stole well, yet another Grand Larceny from the modders community that they will take and get credit for. Just who's ideas are these that make for such elaborate character customizations? Ask yourself this and the answer will be quite plain to see. Yeah it looks good and they had to do some work to get it like this, but the idea is not even hardly theirs. Link to comment

Slightly off topic, but even Dragon Age III is stealing ideas (stole the harpoon/spear idea from Scorpion in Mortal Kombat) Link to comment

Yeah it looks good and they had to do some work to get it like this, but the idea is not even hardly theirs. It's extremely arrogant to pretend that the modding community had anything do with this. "Elaborate character customization" is something every game creator wants to do, but usually can't do because of memory limitations, technological restraints, lack of time, lack of budget, etc. It's like saying you came up with the idea of colour television. Some ideas are something that anyone with half-a-brain thought of at some point and time, and character customization is one of them. Link to comment

I wasn't aware a TES modder was responsible for the chargen used in Saints Row and probably numerous other games before. I might actually play this. It has a monthly fee so I don't have to worry about PTW and children. Bah. Monthly fees are archaic and unsustainable. Standard monthly fee for an MMO hasn't gone up in years, yet the cost has risen drastically. Those fees just can't support a modern MMO. Some sort of other money-making system needs to be in place, and microtransactions is simply the most effective. And if even one person says "WoW does just fine", I swear to the Applicable Deities I'll scalp you. WoW is an anomaly, not the norm, and if you go basing your expectations on WoW, you will invariably be disappointed. Incidentally, WoW is also a terrible example of how fees keep the kids out. That's a myth, which should be evident to anyone who's ever played a subscription-based MMO in the last five years. Though I never played WoW, I did play Star Trek Online before it went F2P, and I can attest that there is no substantial difference in the amount of children and dumbfucks. The only real difference is these are slightly poorer children and dumbfucks. I've had this argument a dozen times on the STO forums and nobody has ever put forth an intelligent or factual argument in favor of monthly fees. Link to comment
loverslab987
I will probably never play any MMO (never have), but the character customization looks decent so far for a Bethesda game. After all, I'm really hoping, that these improvements will have an impact on the next Fallout and TES games. That's all I care about actually. Link to comment
Sεraphim
Those females, though!~ Yes, I actually spent forty minutes making a GIF for a thread post. On a serious note, I am pleasantly surprised with the human characters. Bethesda has done a good job, despite their infamous reputation for crappy player models. Link to comment
Athenaa
This looks more promising now! I played the weekend beta and was not that all impressed, but I still give it a try later! Link to comment
GECK.O
Look much much better than Skyrim. I hope Fallout 4 character creation will look like that. Finally, we can make a fat character. Link to comment
Koko.Hekmatyar
Considering TESO is being made by Zenimax and not Bethesda there is no chance the FO4 char gen will look anything like the one here. Link to comment
Captain Cobra
But Zenimax is the parent company of bethesda? Link to comment
Koko.Hekmatyar
Zenimax Online Studios is a subsidiary of Zenimax Media inc. same as Bethesda Softworks, Bethesda Game Studios, iD, Arkane Studios, and others. Different companies with the same owner like Bioware is a subsidiary of EA Link to comment
