I found a strange bug that bothers me a lot.

When I am magister,I can‘t use the grand wedding with my daughter,only regular faith has this problem.

I test this with other vanilla faith which also have doctrine_consanguinity_unrestricted,like adamites. It works well.

So could you check this bug ?How it happened?And please fix it.

activity option button  is dark,And it said some text of wedding_need_to_be_valid  in wedding.txt line 24~39.

Well shoot, okay then here I go putting that into the script. The hard part is knowing where to put the tabs or spaces to have it line up with the example code.

any plans for a german translation or just a way that the game shows the english text insted of strange text_text for mod text ? i tried to do it with some guide i found but it does not work (create a folder in the localization folder name it german and cope every thing from the english folder and rename the _english part in the data name and at the start of every opend data)

The mod has premade Magistri cultures for several culture groups. The Byzantine and West Germanic ones give quick access to the Phylanx and Gallowlasses MAAs, respectively, which are great. Thus I'd love to have a Norse one as well, so we could recruit Valkyries right out of the gate.

On a related note, I really enjoy the flavor text and bonuses that come along with champions being able to become berserkers. As far as I can tell though, you have to be a Norse religion to have access to that. Any way to do so with the Regula faith?

What do you do with male children in this mod? I haven't been landing them, just keeping them as a sort of pool from which to chose my heir, is there no other use for them really?

 

Still learning and getting a feel for this mod, any tricks that aren't obvious that I might be missing?

 

Is there a fast way to collect the culture-specific retinues other than chosing the west german or byzantine reguli cultures?

@ban10, is there any chance of an Elf Destiny compatibility? I'd love to create one myself, but I dont know how too, though i'm eager to learn how to mod CK3.

Simply put, once you reach a certain point in the game, the value of male children becomes lower than female ones. This mod has female warrior traditions which makes male heirs unable to be knights. There is also a holy cite that makes girls more common than boys.

Once you reach this point, the usage of male and female children change. You use females for breeding and doing work in the kingdom so you don't marry them out of your kingdom. So in order to make alliances you send off your male children.

Looks like there is a compatibility issue with agot now, as trying to free the keeper of souls just makes you the head of whatever religion you are a member of and doesn't convert you to magisterian.

I really hope a compatch is made for AGOT and Elf Destiny. Would love for them to work together. Love both overhauls and RM would be a great addition to both of them. Would love to rule the Seven Kingdoms, with each kingdom being a wife of mine 😅

There is also a bug with maa for total conversions - both agot and bronze age change the tech tree and for some reason this allows everyone to have bombards right off the bat.

Not only that but open individual files as 'text' files. All files start with l_english. You need to change it to l_german

Hmmm, so, a couple of testing notes (for myself and others)

1. You have to load Regula Magistri after AGOT in your load order, otherwise the Regula Magistri religion won't load at all. This seems to fix most issues.
2. The reason why Bombards "show" up is because they are disabled in AGOT, but not in RM (RM overwrites vanilla MAA so that Regula MAA appear instead of their vanilla male counterparts)

As a quick fix, I would remove the "bombard" block from RM, in the file "common\men_at_arms_types\00_maa_types.txt", then move RM to load in front/below of AGOT in your load order.
Ingame, make sure to pick the "Nomads" option when freeing the keeper of souls and you are good to go. Note that you won't be able to get the "Regional" MAA because those regions dont exist in the AGOT world!
Aside from that, everything else seems to work ok

Theres a chunk of work here to account for different world maps for innovations/holy sites, but its pretty hefty. 
When I've got time I'll look at it further.

I bet you've been asked this a thousand times, but is there a way to download the latest version of the mod without every single count and duke getting a royal court? I'm not sure if that's a feature or a bug. I don't remember how, but I have an older version of the mod that "fixes" this, is there something like that but with the lastest version? Thanks in advance to whoever aswers me.

Thats a Character Body Overhaul feature, because they merged court scenes into the base mod
You can find the Define that changes that in the folder "%homedrive%%homepath%\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\char_body_overhaul\common\defines" (assuming you are using windows and have put the mod in the same place I have)

The file zzz_cbo_defines changes the min court title to count, I just delete it.

hmm, after the GUI rework the Regula council seems fine to me (fps wise), unless I notice any major issues I think its fine now.

I have been played this mod again recently, so I have some questions, thoughts, and ideas.

 

1. During pilgrimages I have had my concubines decide to stay at the holy site to become monks. This event doesn't really seem to fit the regula faith.

 

2. How is the 'intended' playstyle for gaining renown is this mod supposed to be? I know that in vanilla you're supposed to have your dynasty members as independent rulers,

but on the other hand, in RM you're supposed to be the liege of everyone.

 

3. There are not enough criminals. My prison is empty if I don't capture someone in a war. More sinners to turn into Conturbenalis needed.

 

4. I'm considering ideas to make the Keeper more picky on who qualifies for the rewards: Santifica Serva and Mutare Corpus.

For example: Santifica Serva could require a someone to have had at least six children, be 50+ years old and have a certain number of good traits.

Mutare Corpus could require that the target character is not sinful, and the change personality part could be split out to a purify sinner ritual.

 

5. One thing I'm missing from CK 2 is the secret order missions. It would be cool if the Keeper could assign specific targets for you.

 

6. Every Paelax is equal, even if some of them are countesses, some duchesses, and some queens. I see a possibility to add more hierarchy in the future. Queens and secondary empresses could be for example be Domina Secunda.

 

7. It would be cool if your male children could infect their spouses. Marry them off in a matrilinear marriage, and see a foreign place get slowly corrupted.

I like most of these ideas, particularly number 3, I always found there wasn't enough prisoners, though some of the recent changes has made that better, and if you start as a viking and go down their legacy tradition, you get more captives as well from I think the 3rd tenant. But i'm a big fan of number 7. Would give a valuable use to sons. Currently they're pretty much overlooked as they cant really contribute to anything, other than your heir. Would certainly be cool to see other realms slowly flip over and become followers.  Would make sense if it was added as an effect to the holy site that gives you the infecta ability. Like it makes all male members of your dynasty be able to infect spouses and their children.

Having fun playing around with RM with the Princes of Darkness mod, only problem is that vampires appear to auto convert away from the religion after a few months.

Do you play a normal human or does RM overrule the no babymaking parts of being a vampire or demon?

hmm, after the GUI rework the Regula council seems fine to me (fps wise), unless I notice any major issues I think its fine now.

The system will generate more coutiers for every council, whether you are the magister or not. Thousands of characters will be created.
