I uninstalled everything, installed_mods folder empty, reinstalled the game, and I still get the error whenever I try to generate a world

uploaded a fix, for it to apply you need to delete the installed mnod files which are now located in ...\AppData\Roaming\Bay 12 Games\Dwarf Fortress\data\installed_mods

I'm getting that error too. Fresh install, cleaned all folders, unzipped the files into /steam/mods (etc) and tapered_penis errors out every single time, no matter what mods I use in any combination, even if the only mod I have activated is pb. What am I doing wrong?

 

EDIT: I'm stubborn so I went through every file and deleted every single instance of tapered penis. On individual creatures I just copy-pasted the canine penis references. No errors and game loads fine. Will report if anything down the line is messed up.

No idea why the topic page cache doesn't update, dwarf fortress changed the location of installed mods from

 

...Steam\steamapps\common\Dwarf

 

to

 

 ...\AppData\Roaming\Bay 12 Games\Dwarf Fortress\data\installed_mods

 

Make sure you clean out both locations and install the mod fresh

That's the weird part, it was a 100% fresh install, no existing folders or anything since I haven't played in ages. No existing files in any folder were on my PC.

No worries or rush, like I said I technically made the game run, and a couple hours in I never noticed anything wrong.

I can't replicate that with the 3 pb mods, make sure you use the latest mod version

I keep getting this error when I try to use the Dark Elf Private Bits addon, I dont know If I have installed it wrong, but I cant seem to get it to stop showing this message. Maybe you could look into it?

In the appropriate order as indicated in the mod menu

 

 

edit: The file is definetely there, the game just doesn't find it.
I haven't modded dwarf fortress in 10 years and don't know how the steam version works with mods, so I'm stuck here.

I got the same message from a mod from the workshop.
I think this might have something to do with the backslash in the file path in front of 'image'.
Maybe the game has issues handling my systems language?

The threat says something about appointing them in the nobles screen, but they don't show for me.

Messenger is the last one for me....
So appearently that mod didn't properly apply.
The base mod did, so I just assumed the others would as well, but the animal people add on might also be struggling.
Is there a specific load order to watch out for? DF didn't tell me anything and the instructions on the title page also just say to follow DF.

prostitutes are added by the sex add-on, the screenshot was created with private bits and the sex add.on active on the current steam version

That's what I believe I have installed. At least I activated them on world creation and it didn't give me any errors. Also on the current steam version.

Hey, are all of the modules of this mod working correctly atm? I had some crashes trying to run all of them(excluding patches) some days ago, but sadly it crashes after some seconds, after I unpause the game(from start)

just tried fortress mode and adventure with PB, PB animals and PB sex both with dfhack and without and its working fine. Do you have an error log? any other mods loaded? what game version are you on?
