no the mod isnt broken, they haven't become a sexnode
you need "aphrodite's bow"'s alternate fire to get them to interact with the object
or you can shoot them with it and they'll turn into a sexnode

auto climax seems to not be working of all the times i've tried using it. i havent touched those settings, but isnt the bar supposed to automatically climax for the npcs while interacting in a sexnode

NPCs never auto climax when a player is present in the node.

You need POV version 4.2.0 or higher (as it clearly stated in the mod description), need to yeet everything but the "artwork" folder and "_metadata" file from the Draconis POV mod, and properly install Sexbound Reborn following the instructions in the mod description or the wiki.

and how do i get aphrodites bow? whats the item name so i can spawn it in

It should be in the Blacksmiths table?

It is technically a weapon

go to Admin mode and look in it

No, the mod is not broken.

However, from your screenshot I can tell your character appears to be fully invisible, so there is something broken with your setup. So, in order to find the issue and help us help you fix it, follow normal troubleshooting steps and give us the log, will ya?

Aphrodite's Bow is an item from a completely different mod. And even then, no, it is not a normally craftable weapon. You have to follow the dedicated questline to obtain the items in order to craft the actually functional Aphrodite's Bow in a custom crafting station in a custom dungeon.

Aphrodite's Bow is an item from a completely different mod. And even then, no, it is not a normally craftable weapon. You have to follow the dedicated questline to obtain the items in order to craft the actually functional Aphrodite's Bow in a custom crafting station in a custom dungeon.

Greetings. I've been trying to debug Sexbound all day, to no success. I just CANNOT get pregnant, no matter what I do. I ran a fresh universe, removed all mods except sexbound, the bow mod, and the patch for it, and yet, nothing works. The log file seems to just completely skip any of the actual rolls mentioned in other people's log files, it just says "[18:26:59.463] [Info] [SxB | PREG] : Actor is trying to become pregnant: TestPlayer" followed by literally nothing, and then the climax state ends.

Turn on debug logging, then we might be able to see something useful. Though nothing happening without any error should mean one of two things: A - you're not female, B - you're not ovulating.

I can now confirm the original cause. I was with incompatible species the whole time. The log for my most recent attempts, after turning on debug, said

"Pregnancy check for actor 2: Allow species false - Can Impregnate true - Can be impregnated true - Insertion true"

For anyone else who views this thread, please, for the love of god, turn on debug mode and check over the logs thoroughly before you uninstall and re-install everything.

I have a question : I reinstalled Frackin Universe but forgot to unistall this mod when i loaded my FU save, then i got the Sexbound items in my inventory. Wont that cause issues? I thought FU is fully incompatible with Sexbound. Just to make sure im not ruining my FU save

Honestly I've spent a fuckload of time running sexbound not only with FU, but an extensive modlist. The only issues I've seen FU cause is some of the hireable crew being ineligible as nodes. Also, an issue with it sort of hampering sexbound defeats functionality, where sometimes defeated enemies become an invisible node that cannot be interacted with.

That's it, I don't think I've ever ran into anything that's actually gamebreaking.

Items don't cause problems, they'll just turn into Perfectly Generic Items upon loading the character. One of Starbounds only sane failsave mechanism. Just make sure that you do not have any status effects related to Sexbound, as having a status effect on a character that doesn't exist anymore will crash the character and make it disappear from the character selection.

 

Other than that, running FU and SxB at the same time isn't the end of the world. Most FU specific characters have no Sexbound functionality, but that's it.

When trying to report bugs or looking for trouble shooting help, always remember the three important Ws:

 

What are you expecting to happen?

Why do you think it's broken? (I.e. what is going "wrong"?)

Where is the log file?

 

Granted, you have been close on the last one - though none of these files are the one we're looking for. These are all old backups. The file you are looking for is simply called "starbound.log", no number in the name. It is a plain text file and as such, Windows will suggest to open it with the editor. In case you have file extensions disabled, it will simply be called "starbound".

I went through my mods that were compatible with SxB Reborn and eventually moved the new PoV Redux 4.2.0 out of the mods folder and the issue was solved, the log shows something about a TriggerUpdate error with "interface/sexbound/sexui.lua".
If it'll help troubleshoot it this is my log file.
but I'm not sure whether this error is a PoV Redux error, an SxB Reborn error, or some other weird circumstance that caused this.
