Ok I used the links on your mod page for the bow with has with patch next to it. I downloaded the .pak file how do I not have the patch? or is it the zip that I need?

Are we going to get it that NPCs can climax automatically? I use Sexbound defeat so fights happen, sexnodes appear, and occasionally I get my shit rocked by a big group of NPCs, but without player input in those situations a position isn't selected and seemingly they don't climax.

In theory NPCs should treat defeated players as other NPCs. Though I never tested that.

If they should be doing that, they don't appear to be doing so, as I am do still need to select a position and all of that. I'm assuming that this means it would be more of an issue with Sexbound Defeat, but I thought I'd ask if the NPCs could climax automatically, or have an option to do so. If it was made an option I'd need to figure out how to turn it on.

There is no option for that (yet).

I'm having so much trouble just getting pregnant I even set free for all to true with chance to 1 and disabled the period cycle; still can't get pregnant.

My species is a neki, so it should be fully supported anyway. I've tried with monsters and npcs both. Pregnancy is enabled in configs.

 

Turned on the info and debug logging and it always returns nil for all values on NPC's like so:

[13:21:23.019] [Info] [SxB | ACTR] : Actor Cenca setup fertility: fertile nil - hyperFertile nil - ovulating nil - defeated nil

 

And for me it always shows this:

[13:21:24.158] [Info] [SxB | ACTR] : Actor Nura setup fertility: fertile false - hyperFertile false - ovulating false - defeated nil

 

Not sure why it isn't behaving. Everything else is entirely fine.

 

 

I also never get any [PREG] log lines.

The two lines are completely normal and work as intended. The "fertile" and "hyperfertile" values solely indicate if the entity from which the actor data is initially fetched is under the status effects of the fertility pill item or hyperfertility pill item - two things only players can currently do, so only for players this data exists. That ovulation is false (and nil for NPCs) too is to be expected, as this too is based on the status effect you are given during the ovulation period, which never happens when the mechanic is deactivated. (Also again, NPCs cannot do this, hence no data.) And the defeated thing should at this point be self explanatory - means to try and detect if an entity is at the raped end of a Sexbound Defeat interaction. No Defeat, no data.

 

Now for the important part: Not having any kind of log output regarding the pregnancy module. That would mean that a request to get pregnant was never successfully sent - which only happens when the cycle is already interrupted on the climax side, e.g. by the male actor climaxing having a status effect preventing climax (like wearing a condom, though NPCs can't do that), is sterile or infertile (which NPCs too should be unable to control) or simply having a sub-gender which cannot impregnate, i.e. produce sperm. Having a dick and "having balls" are two different traits. Though still, NPCs should have no normal means to aquire sub-genders, a "dick but no balls" sub-gender is not standard and Neki should work completely normal. So maybe something is wrong.

 

Which brings us to the core part of this: While it's always nice when people scavange through their own logfiles beforehand and present us with actually handy information, please still just always hand over the log file so we can take a look ourselves.

Going to throw my log in as well. Had the Unsafe day buff/debuff and took 4 loads as a fem neki, no pregnancy. Either I rolled triple 7s or something aint right. I had this as the Lamia race as well. The NPC was one of the ones in the outpost, not sure if that matters but might as well try to give all the info I can

By default you can only get pregnant with a compatible species. Which means, since no race I know off (at least not the Neki) have updated to include the speciesType property, the only two natively compatible species are Human and Apex. Everything else only works with same species sex. You can manually change this by populating the "compatibleSpecies" table in the pregnancy plugin config. (Or turn off "enableCompatibleSpeciesOnly" entirely)

Cheers, thank you. Was gonna ask how to do it, but you made the config surprisingly readable. I'm assuming I just throw the config folder into the mod folder with the Pak version of the mod? Or how does that work?

Great stuff I like the changes. Btw how hard would it be to add chastity devices ? I don't mean adding them into Sexbound Reborn but even as an addon. Would it be hard to create equipment that locks characters out of specific scenes like vaginal or oral if gagged ?

The config folder is technically treated as it's own mod. So yes, the folder goes into the mods folder next to the .pak - so the file structure should be like this then:

`/mods/sexbound-reborn-config/_metadata`

Adding the logic to block characters from certain types of interactions under certain conditions is easy, as I basically already added all the addition data for future updates.

Adding the respective items, however, would be more work as I am not an artist and they'd need all the sex sprites.

I don't know what you mean, but in order to join any sexnode you interact with the furniture by pressing "E" like everywhere else in the game.

I'm having an issue with the Aphrodite's Bow quest. Specifically, the handmaiden and I just stare at each other on the altar. The "wheel" fades in a bit, but isn't actually usable, and no animations play.

Wrong version of Terato Scenes. You need the one starting with "SxB".

It causes problems because it crashes the entire UI, as it partially overrides SBRs new systems with SxBs old code.

SBR is designed modular to prevent the need for this highly intrusive and destructive behaviour, yet most stuff for original sexbound just copy and pasted the entire code to then make some changes to it.

It's the interactive menu between an npc, i think, where you choose what to do with them.
I pressed every key, i don't know if i have a mod conflict with sexbound.

There are no custom keybinds. 
You simply place down sxb furniture and wait for an NPC to get aroused (or make them aroused using an addon mod) or turn the npc itself into a sexnode (again, using an addon mod like Aphrodite's Bow)
You can then walk up to the NPC and interact with 'E', which will put you into the sex scene. You can change positions by clicking on the wheel, which appears if you move your cursor over it. If the wheel doesn't appear, then you might have a mod conflict, in which case you should post your log file

Question. I know Naturally Horny is integrated into the mod, is there a way to view how long it takes for an NPC to use a sexnode naturally? I often take crew with my onto planets and we'll pass by tables and the like and even after being on a planet for a seemingly long time they don't do anything, or even just being AFK on my ship.

No, without actively "cheating" there is no way to check how long it takes a given NPC to become fully horny. Though you can apply some math; the default settings set the arousal gain to somwhere between 0.001 and 0.0001 per second, which means it takes between 100.000 and 1.000.000 seconds for a given entity to become horny. So if you want to rely on this feature to happen as your main means for interaction, you might want to increase the rate in the config.

 

The second problem is crewmembers, as they are funky. Knowing all the problems revolving around them already due to the way they work, I wouldn't necessarily wait for them to become horny. Since NPCs are unable to ever leave their world (because they are part of the server's world data), "taking a crewmember down on a planet with you" effectively means "spawn in an identically looking, new NPC after warping", everytime you warp. Afaik, they do not retain any data when this happens (because who needs consistent data anyway...). One could potentially try to circumvent this with a lot of scripting magic, though this would require patching deep into vanilla Starbound functions, which is always prone to bricking compatibility with other mods doing the same; And when suddenly any single one of you guys' 500 workshop mods could be the culprit to Starbound not working anymore with Sexbound, that's the end of us xD (It would also result in very funky behaviour if someone fucks the same, original crewmember on your ship while you're taking their clone out on a date xD)

Crew mates are fucky and the time is fairly long, got it. Still find it odd with the ship since I have crew I don't take out on missions and are just left there, but I suppose I would see it more if I got off my ass and actually made a village for once. Also, assuming I am reading that right, that would mean that on the low end for a character to become naturally horny it would take nearly 28 hours. I decided to modify that to .01-.1, having the time variance, again, assuming my math isn't horribly wrong/misinterpreted, about 17-33 minutes to become fully aroused
