Hey DeepBlueFrog, 

 

any chance you got a little hint for me where I could go look for my Chaurus Queen competitor? I got the tonal key, used the device, got the message that the queen is now free from the rift, killed the dragon, and looked for the queen everywhere in Blackreach but she's hiding.. left blackreach also to see if she's waiting.

 

So is this queen really smart and only wants to get me at a later stage? If you tell me I just need to figure it out and it's a surprise, that's fine too. Just verifying there's nothing wrong with the chain of events

The dragon you killed should have been the queen. 

I made the mistake to re0skin the actual dragon from Blackreach instead of creating my own copy.

As a result, if you have a dragon mod installed after Parasites, you lose the changes I added for the queen.

 

I am planning a change to fix that. Until then, you will have to either mark that quest stage as complete with the console or return to an earlier save after moving Parasites as low as you can in your load order.

So I've gone through the whole quest before on an earlier version, but now I'm getting crashes whenever I'm in Harmugstahl, so I can't advance the quest any more than that point. I might have messed something up when updating, but I'm not sure how to start fixing it- any pointers in the right direction?

 

Edit: Nevermind, it was Animal SOS messing up with the spiders.

Solved Problem

Hi, I've played this quest mod until finish in a previous playthrough but for some reason on my new playthrough the flare just won't trigger at all. Any possibilities to trigger it manually?

I tried to "infect" my character manually with the queen worm in MCM menu but it just won't stick like something is blocking the mod to apply it (even with my character naked and completely without DD equipment). Any advise?

Hello! I think I have an issue with the parasites themselves. I use Sexlab and Ostim together, and every time a Ostim Scene starts it strips the parasites off my character. I can equip them again but the system breaks and treats them like normal armour. I have tried to reset the parasites and the mod in the MCM, but it does not do anything. I use the newest AE version and 3BA.

Hello!

Problems with equipping/detecting ChaurusQueenArmor, infection doesn't apply.

QueenStage: 4
sqs  _SLP_QST_QueenOfChaurus > 350

Refresh parasites does not apply Queen Armor, the MCM toggle is off.
If I click the toggle or use the power Chaurus Armor, I get the armor and it equips on character, but the error below shows in log, so the infection is never applied, and I cannot proceed with quests from stage 350 when armor is not detected.

I've also taken off the armor and removed it from inventory, then tried power and MCM several times as that spawns a new armor instead of requipping, but same error again.

In Bool Function infectChaurusQueenArmor( Actor kActor  )
There's this line:

Return true ; Return applyChaurusQueenArmor( kActor  )
It is commented out, I would guess that was there just for testing/debug, as the armor itself should apply the infection?

However, with a broken armor like I have, maybe the applyChaurusQueenArmor should be forced when it's triggered from MCM?

I have seen this happong when I was first forced to update to AE, I have now gone to AE completely and the event are showing that it has happen in text in the uper left side of the screen but the actual event isnt showing on the PC, it is not showing in inventory as well so it not being applied like it should,  I found that one of the race s I have installed was naked no form of clothing was being shown, if you are using a .dll file to "apply" warms, queen effect, spider eggs etc. the .dll will more then likely have to be updated, if you was not aware of this.

 

I know you have a **LOT** on your plate, I know this will take time, I wish my programming skills was better because I would help you out and get this fixed for AE. I am still working on getting elle some sliders so she could be adjusted.

 

Or maybe I have the wrong version? I have the one put out for 2 26 2023

None of DBF's mods have a DLL, so his mods work with all versions. But you might check the requirements such as racemenu and make sure they're working. You can look in the skse64.log (not skee64.log) to see if they're loading right.

good to know no .dll issues, yes it is loading and saving, like is said it showing the effects, but not actually being applied, when i manually add  like the chuarus worm does not show on the pc nor does it show in the armor/ worn items in the inventory as being added. I do see the smoke affect though. the message says "you feel cramps..." cant remember exact wording

So im not sure if it is a bug but my skin gets completly light blue, not like it should it looks kinda off is it a known bug?

The parasite mod is called "SexLab-Parasite" for a reason.

Of course, the use of a different framework (like "Ostim") can cause the quests to break.

So if you want to play SL-Parasite you have to decide either to do without "Ostim" or to write yourself a patch that avoids the problem between "Parasite" and "Ostim".

The mod works very well, up until I get the Chaurus body armor and powers from the quest. I can continue to play the game, but when I save and exit the game, attempting to reload that save kills the game. I can only reload saves up until before the transformation starts. After that, the game seems to break. Resaver doesn't note any suspended stacks, so I'm not sure what's causing the game to make corrupted/bad saves it can't load.

 

Have any of you encountered this issue before?

 

Edit: think I've found it. Was playing an Argonian with an HDT physics-enabled tail, which gets deleted by the base parasite skin for some reason. Reloading a new save today, the tail loaded properly, and so did all of my saves. Unequipping the Queen armor/skin and going back to the base parasite skin deletes the tail again, and after saving and reloading, THAT save crashes again. So it's some conflict between HDT argonian tails and the base chaurus parasite skin. Probably going to change the skin back to the default body model in SSEEdit and see if that resolves the issue.

 

Also, I'm getting a ton of microstuttering from the Tentacle monster model (the one you get by swimming) but NOT the living armor. Changing the model in SSEEdit for the Tentacle Monster to that of the Living Armor fixes the issue. Might be an issue with that mesh?

Fixed it mysel, the SD Addon caused the failure and it did nothing to do with this mod.

(I dont use SlaveTats but the addon seems to need it to work proper, so I jsut removed it...)

I had to go to BlackReach to find clues and come back to Lastelle with books but she won't talk to me

You need to sleep naked in caves to get those, Embershard Mine counts as one if I remember well, its South-West of Riverwood.

Go in the Sexlab Parasite MCM, and then there's a tab named "parasites" or something like this, open it and on the right there should be several tick boxes, untick the one ticked, in your case it should have "tentacle" in its name

I solve the quest problem but now I have few questions,

For example, why my body won't change ? I'm infected with parasites but my boobs, butt and belly won't growth

 

It works for Fertility mod, Milk Economy or Hentai Pregnancy, but not for Parasite

Yes, because has I said It works with other mods.

I have Fill Her Up Baka Edition, Fertility Mod, Hentai pregnancy and Milk Mod Economy, body change / scalling work for them

 

For parasite I got sometimes the message "My brests ache" (bigger boobs ?) or "I no longer fit in this" (bigger belly ?) but zero body change

 

PS : Si c'est toi qui m'aide, je suis français aussi

Im curious if is there any way to remove that 4 "skin flares" from the upper body of my char, after doing the chaurus queen questline.

Edit: Just found a fix for it, althrough its a bit rough fix. I just went into Bodyslide's Outfit Studio and removed those nipple thingies from the chaurus base skin.

If I remember well, you have to progress through the questline to the very end, and there should be another way, DeepBlueFrog can answer better than me

I already finished the questline and still didnt want to kindly disappear, thats the reason why I had the idea to mess around in the Outfit Studio.
