Has there ever been an official unofficial porn mod?

I mean where a developer was supposed to secretly developing hardcore pornographic content for their game, but kept it fully seperate and not part of the published game. Instead, they published it on sites like this one with an account not associated with the developer. I feel like it's a good way to get past Steam censors and drum up interest in your game.

The idea is so stupid its laughable. A game developer wants to make money. An "unofficial" porn addon would have to be available for free, else nobody would buy it in any number that's financially viable. The mainstream gaming and porn gaming markets are completely separate things and the latter is so small in comparison, its insignificant. Why would they waste resources on something that's:

 

A) not profitable

B) would be a PR disaster if any of the "concerned watch groups" found out

 

And, as a footnote:

Steam does have pornography. It's a market of its own, enitrely indie and so small, most Steam users don't even know its there.

The only thing I can think of that is the least bit similar is Hot Coffee for GTA SA, except it was still in the game (until it was patched out) and needed a mod to be enabled. It's also not hardcore porn and wasn't released by any of the game developers.

Back before Steam openly allowed adult games, there would be formerly M-rated games like Sakura Dungeon, Amorous, and the Nekopara series that would release patches on alternate sites or hide a means of unlocking the adult content in the game (Amorous had the 'Show Me Some Booty' code).

There is no longer any need for such things so if a game is meant to have given content, it will release with it or said content will be cut across all platforms during development.
