kurisu7885 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 There will be PC version right? There will be, there always has been since the first GTA. Won't be perfect, but it'll be there.
Shocky Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 There will be, there always has been since the first GTA. Won't be perfect, but it'll be there. Lets just hope that they learned from the past(poor GTA IV port) and will do better this time, at least Nvidia gave us an hint that there will be an PC version, probably months after the official release as always so they can milk money from consoles before going for PC(where most pirates are )
D_ManXX2 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 not really, consoles has been gaining rapidly in this department. Now more games on consoles means less pirates on pc, and more on consoles. There will be PC version right? Not sure, the first assumption they used, was no game will be released on pc anymore. Later they seem to have changed there minds and has hire new programmers for the pc version. Only time will tell, if there really is going to be a pc version, Rockstar is also known to stab modders in back when they see fit. So don't get your hopes up. There games are known to be modders nightmare to even mod, and no tools are ever released.
LordJerle Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Doesn't matter, last good GTA was Vice City :-P After the debacles that were San Andreas and IV, I'm not going near V

Nonsense667 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Doesn't matter, last good GTA was Vice City :-P After the debacles that were San Andreas and IV, I'm not going near V How was GTA IV a debacle? I'm aware that most of the people that praise San Andreas as the holy god of video games because "ZOMG IT HAD TEH JETPACK AND PLANES AND YOU COULD HAVE AN AFRO*" view it as some sort of terrible travesty, but a debacle? I thought it was simply more of a tear in the community? Honestly, GTA IV was the only one I could really enjoy. And I REALLY enjoyed it. I did a full play through I think three separate times of it. *Note: Don't get me wrong. I completely understand where people who like San Andreas are coming from, in hating IV, and that is completely reasonable of them. After all, I would be very hypocritical if I thought it was silly for people to get mad at GTA for changing it's tone, when I am mad at the Saint's Row series for doing the same.

I'm old enough to remember when 1 and 2 came out (ramming vehicles into buildings to get cash ftw), and I've played through 1, 2, and 3. Vice City was actually the only one I really liked enough to do repeated play throughs, San Andreas' gangbanger basis just ended up pissing me off enough that I gave the game to somebody else, and IV... That game just hurt my brain. You say you're pissed off at the SR series for changing its tone, but I think a tone change was needed. SR2 was just o.O The humor in the game felt out of place with the mostly serious context of the storyline. To me it felt like being at a funeral and then have a clown show up and start juggling. 3 was perfect. The story and humor were interwoven seamlessly, and it was just all kinds of fun. Looking forward to the same thing in IV.
kurisu7885 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Eh, albeit that GTA5 HAS the gang banger stuff, at least it seems to just be optional in a way. Plus it seems like Franklin really isn't one, he wants more out of life. However I was more sold when in a latest trailer I saw someone jump a dirt bike, dismount it midair, and then open a chute.

You can do that in Just Cause 2...

Looking forward to the same thing in IV. I didn't like "gnagnsta" style of SA but it was HUGE step forward, the amount of innovative gameplay was stunning. There was more game in game, unfortunately hardcore fans didn't like it, but still GTA IV also had at least some fresh ideas. I wonder what V will bring.
slamdunk Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 http://forums.gamingio.com/topic/61-gta-v-budget-may-be-big-but-its-not-wrong/ not coming on PC most likely
Mordyn Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 http://forums.gamingio.com/topic/61-gta-v-budget-may-be-big-but-its-not-wrong/ not coming on PC most likely Just wait, we'll see the game on pc next year (and it will be surely a horrible port, like always with Rockstar...)
Captain Cobra Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 The Gangbanging culture was the best part of SA. Why's LL full of bustas?
deathparade Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 I loved SA but mostly due to its pretty epic MP mod "MTA"God damn i love driving trucks around to make virtual money...
slamdunk Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 i only got GTA for the few times I wanted to just screw around ... kill time... in the name of gaming. Which involved activating cheats, driving around, killing randomly and then spawning many taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks
M.BISON Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 another good thing about SA was the stat system it was a basic rpg element but good eat too much you go fat and unhealthy so you go to gym to get rid of those carbs
Angrybird Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 From the videos the characters still control like trucks, just no.
D_ManXX2 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Well if no pc version is released for GTA i hope they pirate the console game for GTAV on console and then they can finally stop blaming pc for this.. Or they choke on it and bye bye Rockstar. I never buying a console game. For they price they charge me for 1 game i get 3 pc games for that prize.
deathparade Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 There is talk that a few "respected" game retailers had something off a release date either 22 november or begin decemberIam really hoping its true
LordJerle Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Well, Super Street Fighter IV didn't get a PC release for a full year due to " piracy concerns", so it's starting to look to me like PC gamers are becoming labeled by publishers as pirates, when the reality of the situation is that console games simply outsell PC games due to the higher cost of decent gaming rigs over consoles. This, however, along with the advent of the concept of open source software, has created more visibility for independent developers who aren't held back by the strictures and expectations of mainstream, resulting in the innovation and desire for true creativity that seems to have been lost in translation in the increasingly profit motivated gaming world. Thus, I suspect, GTA V may get the same treatment as SSFIV, with Rockstar waiting until they've made a nifty profit to release a PC port (I wouldn't doubt they already have one), as well as ensuring bugs have been fixed before releasing.
slamdunk Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 What LordJerle says is very true. It is likely that they will recover revenue from console and leave PC for the last. The hardware cost challenge is definitely making it harder to keep up with requirements while the console is happily chugging along for the past 5 years on same config.
