I'm new to ECE I normally use race menu but swapped for this mod, is it possible to use face vertex with the elin race? the window isn't showing up for it.

No, the Elins use a custom head mesh, different vertex count and locations compared to the head mesh used by ECE.  I don't know if vertex edit can be make to recognize completely custom head meshes.  I'll have a look into this.

I don’t think the wig is a perfect fit, there is still a gap between the head and the wig.
I have tried to fix it, this is what I modified.

Hi, I also have same problem. The big gap between the head and the wig.

I spent few days try to fix it but I fail. ( My hair using BSA ElinRace AIO HDT HairPack v1.0)

I am sorry that this issue is beyond my ability.

If it is a non-HDT hairstyle I can fix it.

I've gotten the gist of how vertex edit works, Character Making Extender uses UV maps and texture files of each vertex points.  Getting a listing of the VertexID, VertexID mirror, and UV coordinates for X and Y of each vertex point is totally new to me.

Still searching.

Other than using Outfit Studio to remove the gaps the only other approach would be to make the hairs adjustable in regards to scaling and positioning.  I have done it for Elin 2 and (still in progress) for the Elin HDT Ears/Tails.

The Outfit Studio method is recommended for a small number of hairs (doing this for the KS or SG hairpacks would be insane).

The sliders method, though is time-consuming to some extent, works for hairpacks.

Thanks for reply my question. This HDT hair gap issue is too difficult.

I have try to use the outfit studio and I success to load the elinbody and tail/non-HDT hair.

hair.JPG.9ff48f8da740ae36f174c0c728e81611.JPG

for HDT hairstyle, the all file i just can find the file type is .xml

If I want to load the file, it need .nif .obj and .fbx file type

to fix the hair gap is just modify the y axis?

Are you using ECE or RaceMenu?

Start the game and enter into character customization using the showracemenu console command.

Switch to the HAIR slider and it should show the name of the hair your character is currently using.  Do this to find which HDT hair you want to fix.

Exit game.

Open Outfit Studio and use the Elin head NIF file as a reference 'body' mesh and pick the HDT hair mesh, again in NIF format, as the 'outfit'.

You do not need to use the Elin body, you can't fix the gap between the hair and the head if you load the body, but not the head.

Now use the OS tools to reduce the gap.  I believe there is an option to scale up or down the 'outfit' mesh (in this case the hair).  I don't remember if there are options to move the entire mesh along the x-, y-, and z-axis.  When scaling down the hair to where the gap is reduced to your liking, chances are that part of the Elin's head will clip through the hair.  This is when you need to move the hair (x, y, or z-axis) and maybe scale up the hair.

When done, save and give the modified hair mesh a different name so you don't overwrite the original NIF file.  Before testing in your game, move the original mesh to a backup location and rename the new mesh the same as the original or else it will not load into your game.

I using racemenu and find out what hair I using.

I just can find the .xml file type.

May be all HDT hairstyle .nif is packing to one file because I find the ElinRace_AIO_HDT_HairPack.bsa file size is 361MB.

Is this hair gap issue just my personal issue? No one ask this gap issue...

The gap issue may be have more easy way to solve it.

Some website said the Mod "Enhanced Character Edit - More Body Sliders" can modyfy the hair position.

I can't confirm it because ECE make me CTD. (disable all other unnecessary mod to try it)

Did you download the TEXT file listing the Elin hair packs?

The name is, "Elin-mods-mega-links-update-2016Nov15.txt".

It will have the download link for the loose files version of the HDT hair pack.  These do not use the BSA format.

Look for the file name, "2015Oct27 OPTION Loose Files ElinRace AIO Hairpack v1.0.7z"

EDIT

You need the HDT hair pack so the file name would be, "2015Oct29 OPTION LOOSE ElinRace AIO HDT HairPack v1.0.7z".

The hair gap is cause by hairs made for one type of head being made to fit another type of head using only special morphs.  The gaps will appear for everyone so the conversions are not perfect.

When does your game crash?  Start of the game at main menu?  When using showracemenu to enter character customization?  Random times during gameplay?

Enhanced Character Edit - More Body Sliders has a modified XPMSE skeleton that must overwrite the original XPMSE skeleton.  More Body Sliders has sliders that moves the hair, but you will need to modify the hair mesh to use the special skeleton node.  All hairs are rigged to the skeleton's HEAD node, the same as the head mesh, so you will need to make a simple edit to the hair mesh so that it uses the special nodes and allow it to be moved around without affecting the head.

Also, the ECE - More Body Sliders skeleton is not the same as the Elin skeleton.  Simple installation will not affect the Elins as their skeleton is in a different folder, but if you do change their skeleton with the More Body Sliders skeleton then their head/body proportions will change and the HDT ears and tails will not work.

Now, I success to reduce the gap between HDT hairstyle and head.

The hair gap cannot be perfect fit because the hairstyle is too big and head is small.

I modified the y axis and z axis and make it not obvious.

No head model can be reference when using outfit studio. Everytime, Checking the gap need to open and close game.

Modify all HDT hairstyle may be spend more than one month.

My CTD on ECE is happening in start the game but it is not important. Racemenu have same function with ECE.

The download page says that this mod is special edition compatible but downloading just the main file causes the game to ctd instantly even when it is the only mod installed aside from skse.  Is there something I'm missing?

"Special Edition Compatible" translates as, "Are the files Special Edition Compatible?".  When creating a mod page this descriptor is added and a default answer is automatically added; that default answer is "No".  The person creating the page would have to manually change the answer to "Yes" if the mod is indeed compatible with Skyrim SE.

The answer, "No", was included when I created the page, but it appears to have been deleted thus creating the confusion.  I'll go ahead and fix this.

The Skyrim Special Edition version of the Elin race can be found in the Skyrim SE section.

For some reason all the files don't seem to work. Unless i'm not doing something right all i can do is select the text. for example everything after Files: is just text that i can copy and paste and it doen'nt link to the actual files. I tried copying and pasting the text in a search engine just in case but all it does id link me back here.

how come the followers wont have the sex with me  all other  followers will but the elins wont.

For all the sexlab stuff elins are classified as children therefore very much a no go, they are blocked by the sexlab scripts.  A few mods on detecting you are playing a elin or a couple of other races will actually show a message and shut down all their functions.

In the first page you will see a green bar that reads, "View Files".  Clicking on it will take you to the mod download page where you see a large, green button on the right side that reads, "Download This File".  A pop-up window will appear with the list of files that you can download.

I added the file names to the original post so that people will know what file to download.  The pop-up list containing the actual files is not organized and can be confusing.

couple questions if i may...

in the elin animation fix w/ PCEA, is that fondle the breasts sexy idle included in that? if not then i think i have a conflict w/ the elin idle fix and pcea2. as i see elins do the normal cute wiggle back n forth, but they also do that sexy idle sometimes.

and are all the elins that i summon w/ the ring, all supposed to have white hair?

I never added any 'sexy' animations to PCEA.  I'm thinking maybe that idle anim is coming from the Elin body replacer mod which contains some of the TBBP anims.  Why that is activating is news to me.  Anyway, I'm looking around for some other method of adding anims for the Elins.

As for the summon Elins...they all have white hair.
