Gergar12 Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 So after playing both Skyrim, Skyrim SE, Fallout 4, and Fallout NV with adult mods. It seems to me that the endpoint of this forum will one day be we get sick of AAA game companies screwing us over, and the mod authors create their own game. Similar to Carnal Instinct. Cyberpunk 2077 has no 3rd person, Starfield may support NSFW games. Granted I am no where near smart enough to do this, and it has been attempted multiple times by many game devs. It could be future, fantasy or modern based... 1

Karkhel Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 (edited) I have yet to see successful project like this, the best 3d game like this is probably The Last Barbarian and that game is pretty rough and its not quite a huge open world, Wild Life maybe one day will be an actual video game and not just scenes? I never tried Kalyskah, from screenshots alone maybe its something you'd like? Just got new public version released on patreon like 20 hours ago. There are a couple that I tried and were really bad or basically proof of concept so not worth putting much time into. Threshold Road was probably the worst of them all, idk how that shit got so many decent reviews. I guess bonus for including horror into porn? Open world just makes project like these that much harder, even regular non porn indie games struggle to make open world games. But also idk about this being in the skyrim section Edited October 6, 2022 by Karkhel

Maybe they were expecting inevitible answer that so far and probably for at least a couple years the best open world porn game will still be sadly skyrim even with how jank it is, it doesn't even come close to how jank open world porn games are. But I'm open to being wrong maybe next Todd-type game we get is gonna have some crazy good foundation for porn mods.

Karkhel Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Yeeee it is the internet its definitely more likely they just didn't read any sections beside first 2. 1
Bluegunk Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Thanks for that. I just downloaded Carnal Instinct. Cheers!
nilead Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 (edited) Long story short - its unlikely. You need a good gamepaly loop and a good adult content on top of it. And end product will get natually less audience than just a good gameplay loop. Many people dont like adult content in games, many will be cut off by age restrictions, censoship policy of distribution platforms, so on and so forth. If you look at what modded Skyrim can be - you wouldnt be able to legally distribute it in most countries in the world due to the variety of banned or heavily regulated topics. So, devs should input more work than a normal AAA project for inherently less possible payoff, and it might be outright detrimental to even be associated with a project depending on where you are. Skyrim was just about the perfect case - before game as service age, so as much as we bitch about useless pseudo-update, its still miles more stable than any of average modern releases, easily moddable and massively popular. Practicly, if you want to replace it - you need a moddable AAA game on accesible engine, like UE or Unity that gatheres massive audience. Wich, ironicly, means that its most likely should have minimal to no adult content. Edited October 9, 2022 by nilead 1
