Aggression and frustration of fighting and almost dying to a demi-god surely would fuel the fuss of aggressors if they decide not to resort to any devious acts of pleasure. That or animals and vampires possibly attacking/feeding on player corpse 

 

Animals and vampires is on the features list in my notes to do, though I'm unsure if it'll make it in as after the next update (config importing / exporting) it is getting into the more difficult to implement features, and things that may require a lot of work to implement.

Hey @FoxinTale i believe Defeat stopped working (as in i just die) and i think it happened after i downloaded this mod.
If i load an older save it still works, but after the save i activated this mod it stopped working. Even after disabling this it still doesn't work.
Postmortem didn't work too camera was stuck, after dying game didn't load but this mod didn't start either.
Any ideas please ? Old save is really far back.

Edit2: It seems to have fixed itself, i reactivated this mod and died. After like 15 seconds it triggered and then i was "somehow palpatine returned".
After that i went to infiltrate Thalmor and got my ass handed and Defeat kicked in. My guess is i was locked in OnDeath status or smt idk.
Because i loaded when i was killed after activating the mod for the first time and didn't wait 15 seconds. I hope i've been able to explain what i'm saying.

Edit3: Okay no, they just go back to their business after i die. One time someone decided to run towards the character but just changed his mind.
The camera spins around too until i hold S or W, which makes me believe i can control my character after i die ? Idk Please help me.

You could also use soggytoast's guro outfits (equipping them on the dragonborn while animals or bandits are eating them/afterwards) to simulate the dragonborn getting eaten.

I don't think there is any time slow effect with this mod. Are you sure this mod is the culprit?

Do you have any other player death related mod? for example: "More Realistic Death"

got it, Ordinator the mod gives player a skill that triggers timeslow effect when low hp.since player 'dead' with this mod whitch is not,timeslow never stopped.

here is another problem,why enemy just work away and i have to wait for a long time to anim start? it's my mcm setting gets wrong?

By default the scan time is 30 second maximum, iirc
you can reduce it to 20 second

 

also the more NPCs are around, the longer the scan gonna take, and I think it is quite dependent on your computer specs or fps as well, especially CPU.

 

Related to the Ordinator, I do have that mod as well, but never use that spell so idk if that's the case. This mod also do not prevent player's death, the player actually dies and is registered so in the game. This mod only resurrect the player again for the necro scene, and then kills them again afterward, or keep them alive if you choose to do so (which I do not recommend, resurrecting player can cause many issue, I think)

TRUE MISS sounds like the actor is valid for animation, but there are setting or some sort that prevent it. maybe this enemy is not "immoral", try setting it to moral + immoral

Ah yeah I think do set it so because usually companion cannot be killed (Protected) if they are still player's companion. By unhiring them, it will remove the protected flag and hopefully set them without protection and therefore can be killed by enemies.

Would it be possible to spawn a dummy npc if no valid characters are in range?
Sometimes, you'll end dead in an area only inhabited by creatures, who do not, as far as I know, have any necro animations.
By spawning, say, a human ghost, to do the deed, you'll be able to get necro'd anywhere you like.

That said, I might not be using the mod in the intended manner. I'm using it for the "Continue Playing, but with consequences" feature instead of having to reload every time I get one-shot by an enemy.

You can go to the json files and add "Necro" to any of the "tags" in the animations and have them trigger

For the most part, the current Death Expression version is pretty cleaned up. That being said, there is some work being done right now so if you wait, you might be in for a treat when they finish up!

After trying to create a couple of mods myself, I perfectly understand. The scripting made my eyes go blurry!  Life comes first and I'll see v3 when you release it at your convenience.

I have Defeat on essential but i just die, and this mod triggers.
So this mod works well but i don't know what i'm doing wrong that makes "Defeat On Essential" not work.
Any ideas ? Tell me if you need more info (etc. my MCM options)

I dont think this mod handle player essential status. You can try setting the player to be essential manually using console. And we can't really help much without knowing your modlist.

 

Also I am not sure if this mod works perfectly on AE.

@KKSSL In the changelog for SL Defeat Bane 21st November Update (ChangeLog Defeat V5.3.6 Bane 18112023), there is a fix for Player not being essential in None location. Have you updated your version to that version?

 

I use Baka's Defeat so I can't say for sure if that's the issue.

I have 5.3.6, but again, it used to work and does work when i try a new save without PGNS.

Baka's version was incompatible with something i'm using afaik that's why i decided to use this one.
