On a more serious note, it is a well known phenomenon that people are more likely to complain than compliment while the majority do neither.

I can see where you may want comments, possibly about some oddity you missed, or perhaps as TS3, some sliders can create some pretty messed up things when combined with animations. Not much to do, but to say not to use those sliders, but the person got an answer.

Exactly. Most negatives are because the user either didn't read instructions, or has some other problem. Instead of asking for help on the support page, they jump in that your work is crap. Of course, I refer to the moron that downloaded a set of statues I made and quite clearly marked as TS3, put them in his/ her/ it's TS4 and crashed the game... then gives a 1 star review and complained. 650 dl's later, and only 2 reviews, the second being 5 stars. Less than 10 thumbs up, only 6 comments on the support page, 3 were my replies, and one of those was asking about some of my other content that I still have not gotten around to reuploading.

 

In general, I see little point to reviews, other than when comparing laptops or TV's, etc. If there's a problem, post in support, and most modders will try to help. That said, I get SOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoyed when the lead in is "It doesn't work"!!!!!!!!!

 

I started out making these in 2018 with the intent to fullfill my own desires.

 

In fact my Cowgirl 1 animation was born out of a desire to improve Nibbles Cowgirl 4 (That I had requested). Those have now been replaced again.

 

Somewhere along the line of making over hundred stages + idles I run out of steam and creativity. What am I to do when I have made all the things I wanted.

 

 

Then I ask for requests and input for new poses multiple times. No comments what so ever.

 

That's at least something that the Nexus does better. The comment section is packed with almost all mods of note. I myself leave long comments with most mods I download.

 

I know for a fact that authors of Racemenu presets and followers love the response they get. Why should I be any different?

 

Animation work really is some of the slowest kind of modding. There is a reason why this site has only had 10-15 animators of note. People run out of steam.

 

Currently only Billyy and Gunslicer are regular posters. Then You have people like Milky, Psyche, Anub, Nibbles that stopped or cut down on the content.

 

I mean we are the reason that all of You have content for Sexlab including conversions to 0Sex (Special Edition - Nexus).

 

 

Is it really too much to ask for some kind of response?

 

 

I make these for the free use of LoversLab. I have been contacted several times with offers to buy my animations, which I turned down repeatedly.

 

Still I get insulted by 27X, who says every time that I/others will charge people money for them. 27X must have had a bad experience somewhere.

 

 

Now I must stop before I overload the forum...

I agree that animations packs are one of the few mod types where reviews actually make sense, as even a novice mod user can judge if an animation is well-made or not.

Maybe reviews such as "5 stars, I like the content" and "1 star, I don't like the content" are helpful for the creator of a mod.

 

However for most mods I cannot see reviews being helpful for mod users, as most of us simply lack the insight to be able to judge the quality of a mod.

Well, your first line sums me up. Similar to your motivation, I began with simple changes to things others had made. First, textures, later the meshes. I did it for me, and for my game. Eventually, to open bottom dresses and skirts, and learning a lot along the way, and I began sharing things.

 

Again, animations is a lot different. I am rarely in a lack of ideas... just a matter of whether I have the knowledge, tools and patience to make it... And how badly I want it! ))) As said, I certainly do NOT have the patience to do animations. Tools, yes... knowledge, very basic, and perhaps with following a few tutorials, sufficient to get by... patience, NOPE! 

 

In TS3, many great animators ran out of steam, I guess, and just retired from it. How many way to animate cowgirl pose? Make unique from other animators, AND your own past animations??? Several TS3 went to TS4... and PATREON releases. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

 

Like you, I do it for me and share (if good enough), so see no reason to seek money. Then it's a job, deadlines, pressure to produce, sloppy work... at least, that's how I see it for me.

As for the reviews, I think it's probably better to leave it at 5 star rating. I'm guessing LL has ip/cookie control, I used to set it to 120 days on my site to deter peeps bombing ratings.

Thanks for understanding. Just had to get something off my chest that has bothered me for some time.

 

I see You and I having taken similar routes in modding.

 

My take on the Patreon issue is just as You. I don't want it to become a job and making deadlines. It is a hobby that I would never charge money for.

Thanks. This is just what I want. Some posts that can lead to a dialogue or me helping new users getting into animation.

 

Your scenario sounds a little out of my reach for me. I mostly make small 150 fps (5 seconds) animations that are meant as looping sex animations.

 

Though in my last upload I included a 2.000 frame massage animation. Still looping though.

 

In my earlier days I would make the orgasm scene non looping, so the animation would end in a one time climax. People did not want that though.

Well, @pinkfluf and @NCK30, maybe a collaboration? Pinkfluf can send the roughs, and description, and NCK30 can see if you can do the animations?

 

Or, NCK30 can try your hand at TS3 animations! Only runs 60 fps. Many animations are 100 to 250 frames and looped. Would be a whole new set of tools to play with. )))

Me and blender don't mix every time I load it up it looks at me and says "You again!!!". Although I guess I'll need to learn how to do animations if I want to get certain scenes.

I'd class myself as a poor jack of all trades, where I excel though is story writing, sometimes I'll just sit there for hours going through different scenarios

I use 3DSMax though. Right now making a Greek style pillar animation.

 

I guess I am a little more vanilla/romantic in my style than some others. Please provide a rough picture/drawing of what You describe in the last 3 lines.

Something tells me I should ask You when I lack inspiration. Pretty cool ideas. Would certainly have to be more than 150 frames.

 

In my current Greek Goddess set I have breast holding in one stage. Looks good in both high and low weight. But people have all kinds of breast shapes, so that makes it hard.

 

The current stage I am making is a foreplay stage which is a first for me (Sort of).

 

Maybe You could give me some tips? - The female is leaning on the pillar. Also I have the Male's hands on both her ass cheeks.

Umm, is this all about flags? I've heard in the interwebs that flags are a problem. I like flags. They react nicely with the wind in a floppy manner. Also artists are dead. Killed by AI. Shame, but obviously no more money laundering opportunities for kak. Also would it just be possible for people to mass block a particular field they arn't interested in? (Not really a Sims 4 fan). Generally I am really getting fed up on supporting people with an issues with modern developed software which was resolved decades ago but not included in modern software because either laziness or stubborn mindedness. (Last bit just a not related rant - modern software UI - fucking shit).
