Teen Sim Support Mod

The new update for Wicked Whims, 170i, has taken away functionality for teen sims, and it seems to be only thing it did. The mod creator cites being "no longer comfortable" due to the "recontextualization" of teen sims in-game. I understand it, but it's still a silly thing to be the main focus of an update. Especially considering the fact that for many people like me who have already been burned by the wedding pack will never buy the buggy mess that is High School Years and never plan to, so teenage sims are basically the same for us. Luckily, TURBODRIVER isn't a brainless moron and didn't angrily ban all mods that would add this feature back. Before another patch comes and we're forced to deal with this, is there any mod that adds this feature back, released or indev? Would be nice, thanks.

I agree this is a horrible decision and feels really dumb. If he was comfortable before. Nothing has changed other than open school. They were still in high school before. I am considering getting the pack but this has broken my game after update. It seems like we will all need the seperate unlock file

Ironically the Sims team feels the opposite considering this update/pack included 'fooling around' for teens allowing them to perform woohoo interactions without the risk of pregnancy essentially.  So yeah, sounds like Maxis is more comfortable than ever allowing teens to engage in such activities.

There is this inapropiate unlocker but it need a new wicked attribute to be assigned. Anyway, its a start. But I cant assign the attribute to anyone but my own sim. Anybody knows why?

Literally this. Teens have sex. I guess using wicked whims glorifies it a bit, but yeah, they do that. This update is silly, and a bad attempt at righteous morality. But what can you do, I guess. I hope a modder picks this up soon.

Don’t do that to me. Hell I went to a high school where girls were pregnant at 12. Let me play my game my way. Don’t do that to the rest of us. I always had it where teens can do anything the adults too. Hell teens are practically adults.

I tried using the new Post-Puberty options and made it so teens could have sex. They can still have sex, but it refuses to save. I get an exception error

You also have to check the teenage sex box in the WW settings: Wicked Settings -> Relationship Settings -> Relationship Utilities -> Adult-Teen Relationships Switch. I can conform it works very well for the public version (the one I use).

Gentry, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes here, but whatever reasons Turbodriver has for the change, I'm sure they're well thought over.

 

Also, this is nothing to make drama over. It used to be you had to ad the "inappropriate mod" a year or two back. I just tried it, it works, there's nothing to worry about, nothing to raise a moral panic over. If you want your teenage sim to do inappropriate things while clubbing in Windenburg, you can. What you can't do is screw your teacher while at school, which we'll have to live with for the time being.

But Patreon may not see it that way. Look at the number of contributors and do the math. I'd be careful too.

Well no secret that patreon has policies against stuff like incest and had it for some time unless it happens to be big selling stuff like Game of thrones, then it's apparently okay.

Honestly was surprised by his response, because since when I started high school years pack one other sim teen suggested, friends should sleep together which I had my sim teen agree at which point the proceeded to go into the principals office and have wickedwhims sex. I can't possibly imagine the sims team put that stuff in there also since it proceeded to wickedwhims sexual interactions. So to me this feels like a sudden U turn for some reason, but again is the created mods so essentially decision on what to do with it falls on them.

I think the "sleeping together friends" stuff is for you adults and up sims. Try the vanilla woohoo (adults) or mess around (teenagers) interactions and see if you can get the friends with benefits system going.

 

I think most of the problems we're having now is that several changes happened on top of each other. The new sexual preference system which needs to be integrated into WW, the instability of the last game patch, the new teenagers sex system in WW and the no-sex-in-school system. A lot of users who have been used to the very stable WW of the last few months are likely quite confused when things suddenly don't work as they used to, and it's a race to find which problem relates to what change. My guess is Turbodriver is holding off releasing patched up WW until the game itself is stable.

Maybe was just surprised it showed up as dialog between the teens given the announcement, but could what you're saying is true. Just never really seen that dialog pop up before, so it surprised me thought it came with this pack update to be honest, but at same time had impression that it was going to worked on more fears and wants before being added to wickedwhims integration and whim system would be retired. But Yah I don't know.

Just change the string table so that young adults reads "teens" and teens read "older children"  and play whatever you want if its that important. To me, it's not.  I can live with young adults being the starting age for sex. I mean, it is fantasy and doesn't reflect real life. It's not like every woman out there has boobs bigger than her head and these comical exaggerated lips.

I played awhile without any WW (or DD) at all. It's not a bad game!  I just want a mod to change the music and the message during basegame woohoo so it's not so schlotzy.

He didn't kill it, it's wounded a bit wrt the teen age group.. And he does keep the mod up to date pretty well! 

What seems to be the problem EA has with the mod is the "early release" time period is questionable and undefined.

The issue seems to be that people feel that if you do something in a game, you'll do it in real life. Like if You play shoot up the commonwealth in Fallout 4 that you'll shoot up the world in real life. Doesn't happen. Just because you watch Game of Thrones doesn't mean you'll hop on a dragon and burn down a major city. And what's the game if you can't do something outrageous like that?
