DoomDude90000 Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 I'm new to skyrim modding and love it so far, I always wanted to try out loverslab and while great I can't get the ZaZpacks to work, I use the skyrim special edition and all the ZaZpacks apparently haven't been ported properly, they all use form 43 plugin and I need them at form 44. I need this cause alot of mods on here use those packs.

Gukahn Posted July 1, 2022 Posted July 1, 2022 (edited) Funny thing is it's the second Form ID Question regarding LL Mods the couple of Days and nobody of them started thinking. "Mh.. All this Wrong ID but everybody and their Mother using them and it's working.. Maybe i did something wrong? No, it's the Author and Converter who are at fault." So, silly none helpful comment aside. Don't fear the Form ID 43 so much. Important are Mesh Files and Scripts who really needs converting. I Do believe there are some Mods that need to have 44 but a shit tone of LL Mods in my LO with 43 say that there can't be too many of them. Better keep an Eye out for other things you might have missed. What exactly doesn't work? did you really have all Requierments and most important: do you have everything you need for your Skyrim Version? Here it gets complicated. LE and SE are things you already know.. But here comes Bethesdas Middle Finger: AE which requieres mods like SKSE and a few other Plugings to be converted. Most mods on SE work for AE tho. You are on AE When your Game Version is Higher then 1.57. Regardless if you have bought the Creation Club Addons or not. Edited July 1, 2022 by Gukahn

The 5 important things to convert are: BSA containers, meshes, textures and animations (which normally all can be done by users, eg using CAO) and SKSE .dll plugins (which normally only the author can do) Edited July 1, 2022 by Mister X 1

I've run into a few of them and usually fnis will pop a warning if the hkx file isn't compatible. Form 43 for the esp registering the nifs is a non issue. It matters for some things, but not in this case. Run your nifs through cathedral and extract any BSAs. Usually, if a mod works properly with most people, then form 43 isn't the issue. A problem that affects a sub-group is usually related to a lesser feature or a mod conflict. Edited July 1, 2022 by delgathar

The most likely issues are with the individual installation.

bwaomega Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Make sure you are actually grabbing the SE/AE versions, and not the original LE versions. T.ara only does LE. The packs that I have are NOT form 43.
DoomDude90000 Posted July 2, 2022 Author Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) I have FNIS and it works great, and I have done some digging and the opinions are mixed, some are saying I need to make sure to convert those plugins to form 44, but others are saying that those form 43 warnings on MO2 are almost always false alarms and skyrim SE can run those form 43 plugins just fine. Also I make sure to always get the SE version of ZaZ and any other sexlab mods that have an SE version. Edited July 2, 2022 by DoomDude90000
Just Don't Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) Opinions might be mixed. Facts don't. If you see a mod ported to SE retaining form 43 that has been out for years with thousands of downloads, rest assured it'll work as intended. There are other file types that must be converted always (nif, dll, hkx, bsa files, to name a few). Plugins for the most part work as it is. If not it would've been changed right away. You can disable the form43 check in MO (MO2 Settings-> Plugins, find the form 43 check and disable it). Edited July 2, 2022 by Just Don't 2

Now I just need to get those damn t-poses to stop, I keep running FNIS but the ZAZ packs are missing, even though I have ZaZ animation pack V fully downloaded and running in MO2, maybe I missed some instruction on installing.

All the ZAZ pack ports are here https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/5957-zaz-animation-packs-for-se/ The 7.0 is in the downloads (green "download this file" button). 8.0 and 8.0+ are linked in the description. 10 hours ago, DoomDude90000 said: Now I just need to get those damn t-poses to stop, I keep running FNIS but the ZAZ packs are missing, even though I have ZaZ animation pack V fully downloaded and running in MO2, maybe I missed some instruction on installing. T-pose: verify there are no error or warning lines after using FNIS (after pressing the "update fnis behavior" it'll generate some text, you need to check that once it's done and before closing FNIS). ZAZ packs missing: there are no special instructions, you get the files you need (SE ports of 7.0, 8.0 or 8.0+, yes only one of them), you install it in your mod manager and enable it. That's it, after that FNIS and any other program/the game should detect it as installed. As long as you're using the programs and your mod manager as intended (for example MO2 requires you to install and use FNIS through MO, failing to do so would mean FNIS won't detect any of your installed mods in MO2 and the behavior files it generates won't be valid for the mods you're trying to use). If it bugs you, like it does me (terminal OCD), then just open the esp in the CK, save, then close the CK, rinse and repeat as needed.
