Could anyone tell what could possibly cause this???

I'm stumped... installed nothing new, just tried to load my savegame from last time I played, to be greeted by this:

 

 

...missing Skyrim.esm? Dafuq? Verified files via Steam, no trouble. Checked the actual files manually - nope, they're there alright. What the fuck is going on here??

Re-deployed my mods (that after all worked just fine last time I ran the game) - all fine and dandy. The setup worked just fine the last few days.

I have seen similar, On my end it was by-product of having too many esp/esm's active(over 252)after accidentally activating some esp's that were off on account of being in my bashed patch(wryebash)

Have you been near the Skyrim Launcher? Check if things haven't got unchecked there.?

This only happens to me if I use a backup save removing the .bak. When I do so mods will be unchecked. Mostly it's SOS mods that uncheck for me. All you have to do is recheck the mods and go into MCM and apply your setting for those mods that were disabled. If they require SkyUI that is.

Got it. Stupid error that, I ran from the wrong exe.

 

Apparently when you install SKSE via Steam it installs in a separate steam-folder in the steam library and just links the files.

 

God dammit, I hate steam. Hated since my counterstrike-days 20 years ago... fuck steam.

 

Say, anyone got the HDT high heel framework for LE laying about? Can't find it for some reason, the only version on nexus don't work, and nexus apparently took a bullet to the brain in general. Their policies are so retarded, they should think about a fusion wirth Wargaming.com to vreate a supernova of greed and stupidity.
