The 16-07 update is CTD'ing after the loadscreen for me. All i get in the logs are:

anyone else tried it yet?? :) 2 scared of the cdts!!

 

I had CTD to start with.

Delete HDT and its log, load up Skyrim and save again, exit game and then put the new HDT in the folder and start the game again.

See if that helps anyone getting CTDs on loading with update.

Crashes for me as well with the newest DLL. Luckily I have a backup from the earlier version, which still works.

 

Whatever the author changed, now causes trouble. I even tried the method described somewhere above:

 

Deleting dll + log, loading savegame, saving, putting in newest dll.

 

Still crashes :/

Since there are a lot of people getting CTDs, wouldn't it be best to just wait for the official release? I'd expect it to be polished by then

 

If you don't want to help in the testing, of course. But testing and reporting is the only way the mod will improve and eventually reach an 'official release'.
