Site Being Scrub Off Search Engine

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello everyone, just wat to make a note that this site is being scrubbed off certain search engine. When it it comes to the Brave browser default search engine Quant. It use to show this site on the second or third results. Not it shows other sites that mention loverlabs but the main site itself. This is the same for Microsoft Bing search engine. Weirdly enough; that is not the case for Google search engine.

My question would be...

qwant.jpg

Image using Qwant to search for loversLab by using merely "Lovers" and "Lab" combined.

...  what happens to be the criteria you're using for the search?  Just prior to the post, I used both search engines you defined (Qwant and Bing) and was able to find LoversLab immediately, if only by using two particular words "Lovers" and "Lab" within my search.

A thorough and detailed explanation of what you are/were searching for, how you entered it into the search engine of choice, and the provided results may explain much.  Know that Google is more prolific and performs more bot crawls to acquire information for its search engine than Bing.  And hell, some would wish website owners 'pay' to keep them within their search engine listings... I won't name names.

My search with the Bing search engine. Had no problem getting a hit on Lovers Lab. It also came up with a Youtube suggestion, and further down LL entries for The Sims.

As a question, have you checked the safe search settings for the browsers in question? They may have been reset somehow and are now filtering LL due to the site being adult content. Just a thought.

I just searched for "Adult Skyrim Mods" on bing, and the first hit was loverslab. On Qwant it was the 6th hit. Still on the front page, but you have to scroll down.

That happens to me, or I will get a bunch of weird sites that mention LL. Easiest way to avoid this is tabbing it to your top sites. I know FF (Portal) and Brave has this feature, Unsure about other ones.

it could also be because of region settings. in some countries, LoversLab (and/or it's content) is illegal, or at least severely restricted.

That's because it is a adult site.

When I labelled my site as adult to wordpress, it vanished from search engines as well.

I just used google search to search for loverslab and got registration terms - LoversLab - LoversLab | geek feminism wiki | Fandom - LoversLab: forums followed by links to downloads - Skyrim utility modThe Sims 4 - The manipulator - Skyrim: special edition - Skyrim. After that a bunch of videos on loverslab mods and some on how to install them.

I still find LL when using DuckDuckGo, all I searched was "adult Fallout 4 pc mods" and its the 6th result. Funny enough, MSN is the first result somehow....
Just typing in "Loverslab" doesn't show the site, but it doesn't show that wiki either. It does show YouTube tutorials for Skyrim, Patreon page, Steam, etc, etc. All related to LL.
I have safe search off.

I have this issue on chrome on pc sometimes... it'll show me everything except LL links... its like the site doesn't exist for them. But it depends on what Im looking for, point is sometime its something i know for sure exists and its still showing me tons of similar stuff *except* LL.

but i think this is really a browser or settings issue,  on mobile and not on chrome it finds LL links easily...even though its still using the same search engine (google) supposedly.
