Children of Lilith - Succubus of Skyrim

Recommended Posts

Dear mod author,

At the moment my nerves are "pretty frayed" ... I just don't know what my Skyrim is doing to me.

After the successful test - as described here a few times ago - I updated from 5.0.5 to 5.0.7 and created a new character ... with which I first tested another mod (yps).

This test was successful and now I wanted to turn the character into a succubus.

I call up the MCM and ... SHOCK ... no "Children of Lilith" is displayed.

Now I've been sitting here for about 8 hours and ... I can't get it to "work".

- I had meanwhile returned to the old version (5.0.5)

- I moved the mod in the loading order (to the last position at the end)

- I used the command "setstage ski_configManagerInstance_1" ... yes, the menus are reloaded but WITHOUT "Children of Lilith"

- I increased the following setting in Papyrus "fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000.0" (it is usually at 500)

it doesn't help - I can no longer get my display in the MCM

I am grateful for any helpful advice

Check your Papyrus logs for errors. Make sure you have NL_MCM. MCM is fragile. Usually there's nothing a mod author can do about a missing menu afaik.

Thanks - but no success so far... NL_MCM was already installed anyway and "Menu Maid 2" didn't bring any improvement either... you can't force loading if the system is basically "blind" to a mod

I can now either do a complete new installation and consider switching from SE to AE straight away - or simply delete the succubus part from my game and fake everything via "roll-play" in the planned finale.

At the moment, however, I no longer have the emotional strength to make a decision - after all the weeks of testing... this setback after I finally solved the problem after many weeks...

... I've just had enough!

I didn't realize you were still on 1.5.97. Do you have BEES?

No - but now... and it was actually the solution!

And one more thing - I had also reactivated SLSO in the meantime... now both mods work perfectly - in other words, the "sucking" takes place despite SLSO being installed

Obviously my OLD CoL version 5.0.5 worked - but not really correctly.

The upgrade to 5.0.7 failed and the reinstallation of 5.0.5 did not result in a mod working in the game!

This tool you linked solved the underlying problem between my Skyrim SE version and your mod... so that now even an installed SLSO does not cause any problems.

Modding is actually a constant learning process... and I am very grateful to you for this lesson - because it will probably solve many problems with future mod updates from other authors.

While the Mod page says 5.0.8. is available and has a changelog for it, there seems no DL for it yet?

I just did it... without starting a new character

I also put this mod (the 5.0.7 version) last in my plugin list - so that I don't change my loading order with the updated plugin

According to the description on the mod page, it should actually be no problem without it

Hello. I've tried a new version (5.0.8) but the NPC can't drain. The NPC drain function only works up to version 3.0.3 but the handler in version 5.0.8 was fixed. Are there any additional requirements I'm not aware of? The game's version is 1.6.1177.

Are you relying on the spid file to create NPC succubi or are you using the gem?

Yes. I'm using the SPID file. In the previous version, it didn't show up correctly.

The SPID file has an issue right now where it will only distribute the Flowergirls handler. You'll need to change which spell it's distributing depending on which framework you are using.

0x352897 = OStim

0x352899 = SexLab

0x35289B = Toys&Love

You can distribute as many of them as you are using.

Is anyone getting issues with base vanilla vampirism in game with this mod?

I ask because in my recent playthrough, as soon as I got infected with vampirism (not using a vampire mod) Children of Lilith started having issues with tracking my transformation status as a Succubus: I lost all buffs from succubus form once infection occured. I toggled my succubus form and got the buffs back, but as soon as the first step warning message happened (you feel a strange thirst happen as the night falls), I again lost Succubus buffs.  This repeats each sunrise/sunset.  Also, all attempts to cure vampirism aren't working >.> Cure Disease potions and shrine disease heals are not curing the infection when they are supposed to.  I even tried "become mortal" with the CoL mod, used a cure disease and then reactivate CoL...

Could iNeed be causing the interference?  It's the only only mod I can think of that I have installed that interacts with vampirism, since I had no intention on playing vampire.

Hey, have you ever thought about adding the option to transform based on the day/night cycle? I was thinking about using this mod for a playthrough where I would be a mere mortal during the day and then transform into a succubus, once the sun goes down. I have no idea how this would work in regards to stuff like for example running sexlab animations at the exact moment of the transformation or other interactions. But it doesn´t sound impossible, I guess.

I know, I could just "press the transformation button" in the evening and then again in the morning, but where is the fun in that?

In my experience, that's not how it works... the cure for vampirism definitely doesn't work once the player has become a succubus.

As far as I know, the mod wasn't combined for such a combination.

What works -> if they start out as vampires and become succubuses... or they let Harkon or Serana turn them into vampire lords.

I tested this route with a succubus (standard race - Nord)... it works - but a cure will definitely fail.

So you have to be clear about which route you want to take through the "Dawnguard" DLC.

If you play on the side of the vampire hunters, you are mortal (the succubus is also considered "mortal" here) and if you decide when entering the soul grave that Serana will turn the player into a vampire... well, then you've ruined the game!

Although the mage of Morthal performs his ritual, there will be problems with the vampire hunters - because they still think the player is a vampire.

Perhaps it is possible that console commands can help here - with these you can change the player's class affiliation.

But of course vampire mods interact with the succubus mod.

No, you're misunderstanding.  I did not want to become a vampire.  I have no vampire mods because I do not want to play as a vampire.

In vanilla skyrim, one of the ways you become a vampire is that you can be infected by a common vampire attacking you with the drain spell.  You get infected by a disease and have a few days before you turn into a vampire.  To get cured, you need to either use a cure disease potion or get cured by a Vigilante of Stendarr or go to any shrine and activate it to get cured by the blessing.

I just got attacked, while playing the game, by a vampire and got infected.  No cure method worked because the disease just kept progressing.  But now I know that there's no way to get cured when playing as a Succubus.  I'll need to try and figure out a way to deal with this... -.-

I guess save scumming will be my friend and I have to make sure that I kill vampires before they get in range to drain.

Whatever they call it - the first three days after infection are like a normal illness... an anti-disease potion (like the one the Guardians of Stendar carry with them) is enough... or you use one of the many shrines of Aedra or Daedra.

This also works in CoL if you have become a succubus.

In this phase, vampirism has not yet broken out (so you are NOT undead!) and it is treated by the basic system as a normal illness (similar to "bonebreaker" fever).

Something seems to be "in between" here.

Miauzi is wrong in just about everything they said, at least in terms of what I"ve tested and accounted for. CoL shouldn't have a problem with curing a vampire, but I need to test it. I've already tested it with a mod that lets you become and cure vampirism through the MCM, but it seems like I'll need to go through the quest. Letting Serana change you later in the quest also shouldn't cause a problem. These things would only be problems if they don't throw the correct vampire change event. The only thing that CoL needs to detect in regards to vampirism is that the transformed races need to change to the vampire versions of the race. I do not touch anything to do with any scripts that change you into or cure you of vampirism.

CoL shouldn't be effected at all by you contracting the disease and not letting it progress to vampirism, I will also be testing this though. In similar fashion curing that disease should not be effected by CoL. iNeed I think changes how diseases work. I would wonder if you have any other mods which effect disease curing and CoL isn't actually what's causing that problem. I'm not sure why you are losing succubus buffs due to the vampirism disease, but I will need to test it. I can tell you for a fact that CoL does not touch the vampirism disease nor anything to do with curing diseases. It doesn't modify any vanilla records in fact, it's all new.

I can only describe something that I experienced myself... it ruined my game progress.

Yes - it shouldn't have happened... but it did.

It could be because the first time it wasn't a standard race - which I had chosen for my character... the second time, which I deliberately did as a test, my character was a "Nord".

If CoL is activated and you let Serana transform you into a vampire (because of the soul grave) - the healing from the magician in Morthal either fails or, if it is successful, the members of the vampire hunters still recognize you as a vampire.

I myself can only do a new test in about a week - because my current character is designed for a different mod test.

My issue is different. It's not that I want the vampirism to progress.  It's that I want to get rid of it.  I never wanted it.

I'm playing with "Sexlab Kidnapped Redux" on my Succubus playthrough.  Even tho I have the auto-kidnap timer shut off, I got jumped by a group of Vampires in Solitude and in the chaos that ensued, a vampire got in a drain on me and it infected me.

From that point on, the Vampirism progressed.  I used a cure disease potion and the infection symbol went away... but I continued getting the red screen with messages that the disease was progressing.  I shut off CoL, used another cure disease, and next sun down still got a red screen and messages.  I went to a shrine of Talos, got the message that all disease were cured.  Still got the red screen and messages when sun came up.  Every time this happened, all the associated buffs for being in Succubus form stopped tracking on the magic effects screen.  I would continue testing with some other forms of curing, but the game corrupted and stopped loading saves.  Had to start a fresh game.

All of this happened with zero vampire mods being installed.  I did not install any vampire mods because I did not intend to play a Vampire.

Interestingly, I searched online for a way to cancel vampirism in game and someone said that "Better Vampires" has an option on the 1st MCM screen to shut off vampirism in the game.  The post was years old tho, not sure if it'd still be there.
