JesusKreist Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I'm curious. While it seems like a (somewhat) noble goal the decision of the AI is not solely based on in game religious matters, but part of the culling process i.e. preventing the game from too many characters needing to be simulated at the same time. So my question is: How does the performance of the game look like ~150 years after game start? 60fps? Dia show? Yes?
Arion888 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Sorry to be a pain, but I can't manage to assign the path correctly. “Descriptor path invalid”. Neither the mod/ path nor the full path works. Could this have something to do with the remote_file - "remote_file_id="2825586887"? 1

So my question is: How does the performance of the game look like ~150 years after game start? 60fps? Dia show? Yes? You raise an interesting question. To date, I've only performed tests to ensure the mod works properly across as many different scenarios as I could conceive (pun not intended), but I've never tested the mod's impact on performance. Since I exclusively use the "Default (Player exception)" game rule when playing normally, I don't really have an idea of how many "extra" characters will exist after a specified period of time when using the "Disabled" game rule. However, since by default abortions are only performed by unmarried women, and many unmarried woman are either wandering or will soon become wanderers, they (and their children) will probably be culled by the game eventually through others means, or will take the place of another character who will then be culled in their place instead, so I can't imagine the impact would be too significant. If anyone has concrete data on the subject, I'd definitely be interested in taking a look, but all I can offer for now is that if performance is a concern, I'd recommend either the "Default" or "Default (Player exception)" game rules. 13 hours ago, Miesersack said: Sorry to be a pain, but I can't manage to assign the path correctly. “Descriptor path invalid”. One of the two descriptor files was mistakenly copied from the Steam version of the mod, which has a slightly longer name, causing the pathing error. I've reuploaded the mod with the correct descriptor file, which should hopefully resolve the issue. The standalone version of the mod doesn't appear to have been unaffected, and shouldn't require a redownload. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Djinman Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 It seems the latest upload of the Non-Standalone Version is still throwing the error: "Installation of this mod failed. The path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist." A quick fix however of making a new mod via the launcher, calling whatever you like, then copying the contents of the mod; only the "common", "events", "gui" and "localization" folders, across into the new mod does work. The non-Standalone version however also still shows the "Pregnancy Complications" game rule as well as the intended "Pregnancy Termination" game rule. It looks like you may have gotten mixed about with your files at some point.

I double-checked every single file prior to reuploading it once again, so this should hopefully resolve the issue. I again apologize for the inconvenience. 1

xyzxyz Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 (edited) I think this mod might not be working anymore. I keep loosing pregnant women to "unknown afflictions" (green skull) again. Edited April 1, 2025 by xyzxyz

Are you running any mods other than Carnalitas which edits the game's events/pregnancy_events.txt file?

Game rules were normal chance of misscariages/deaths, relationship was lover (my child) and I don't think I have anything else that modifies it. The death are very rare but they still happen.

Ideally two, one from before she died and the other after, but regardless I can take a look at whatever you have.

The save is several versions old and it happened quite some ingame time ago when she died. If I get a recent death I'll post it. Edited April 29, 2025 by xyzxyz

Akashi_1944 Posted November 18, 2025 Posted November 18, 2025 (edited) Oh man this mod will be perfect with Phaze's Additional Degeneracy mod. I was wondering why all my milkcows were dying by "trying to cure mysterious illness". Sad that it disables achievements though. Edited November 18, 2025 by Akashi_1944
Guest Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Excellent mod, unfortunately on the v. 2.2 Standalone version after install I am getting the "Installation of this mod failed. The path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist." error. I have redownloaded and reinstalled twice and deleted previous files each time.
xyzxyz Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 They started dying again Something isn't working.

That was my mistake due to an extra "s" at the end of the folder name. I've reuploaded version 2.2 standalone which should fix the issue, however if you're running the latest version of CK3 (1.18.3), please use version 2.2.1 instead. If not, please ensure you aren't running any other mods that modify the events/pregnancy_events file (with the exception of Carnalitas, as long as this mod is placed below it in the load order). Please refer to the Changelog section for more information. As always, please let me know if you have any feedback or ideas for the mod.
