Guest Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 > All right, here is the problem my prince can't solve at all. The guy accidentally stole a sword from the table. Well, whenever he tried to take it again following all offered solutions about removing stolen flag, the game "recovers" stolen flag as soon as the sword gets into his possession. My Prince did a test and the same problem shows up with any stolen item. No console command help. When he is able to sell stolen good to merchants, he is able to do it and the item has no stolen flag anymore. but as soon he purchase it, it gets it back. Anyone has any idea how to solve it or a mod suggestion?
Psalam Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 I found this: (which can be found here: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Console) setownership <ID> Sets ownership of the targeted item. You can set the owner of the targeted item with a faction ID or a character's base ID. If you don't add the parameter, the default owner would be yourself. This can be used to remove the "stolen" tag from any items. Simply drop the item on the ground, open the console, click on the item, and enter the command. It can be difficult to select certain items. Can also be used to remove the "owned" attribute of beds and gain the ownership of a stolen horse.

KoolHndLuke Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 There was a trick I used a few times to lose the stolen flag. I think it worked by putting stolen items in a container and having a follower pick them back up again for you.- thus removing the flag. Not sure if it works on everything though. But if none of that is working for you, then I would just spawn another ref on the base object.

As soon the player takes the item from the follower, it gets red hand - stolen item again. I told you, my prince tried everything he found on the net, except Psalam's suggestion. I'll tell him. Anyhow, thanks for help.
