follguy Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Hi all, Really need some help right here. Most of the time I ran LOOT when I have installed the new mod for old rim and every times it runs without any problem. But I found out it didn't operator properly recently and I didn't keep it mind(Very Very bad idea....). I NEVER run LOOTs when the game is running. Last night, I didn't install a mod but I ran LOOT to put a follower mod to proper position in load order. And the game isn't function anymore, I can't access the MENU to start the game. The game went CTD before the MENU showed up. The most annoying thing is, I have another back-up full old rim game in another disk which I'm 100% sure it can be operated also it saves my ass for many times. But now the BACK-UP game can't not operate either. Any one have this kind of situation before?? Thanks.

What? Why? Anyways, if you changed your LO you would need to run FNIS again and rebuild your patches (like bashed patch or DSR... stuff like that). If you didn't add any new mods and the LO was working as intended, why did you run LOOT to move a follower? Usually it's enough if your followers are above your follower framework and RDO in LO, unless you have some odd interconnected follower. What you can check if LOOT misplaced patches in LO. Maybe you have also to pull down the Alternate Start you are using in LO. Also helpful: Wrye Bash, it shows in screaming colors if LOOT placed plugins in obscene places. 9 hours ago, follguy said: The most annoying thing is, I have another back-up full old rim game in another disk which I'm 100% sure it can be operated also it saves my ass for many times. Did you forgot to start Steam Client before starting Skyrim? This can mess up the whole LO if you have many deactivated plugins and you would probably need to use BethINI to create a useful Skyrim/Skyrimpref.ini If you drop a Skyrim backup... wait, do you install everything manually? ? There isn't a good reason to use a Skyrim backup unless you don't use a mod manager. If you want to recreate your last working LO you can do that with Wrye Bash too by comparing the save game LO to your actual LO. I fear there is something you didn't tell us, at least give some more details.

You know, nothing happens from nothing - so what hasn't been done that hasn't been done before?
