Mynote Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 so after quite a long while of not playing skyrim, i decided to be a masochist and install it again. i got the alternate starts mod to skip the long intro along with some other mods. so, i make my character, choose my start and head out into skyrim once again. however, much to my dismay, i start seeing several audio and graphical bugs. Elder Scrolls V Skyrim 2022.01.11 - 19.06.33.02.mp4 this is a fresh install with minimal mods. the audio and graphical bugs happen seemingly at random indoors and outdoors. none of said mods change anything about how the game handles the audio and graphics. even without mods enabled it happens. here is my mod list, in case it helps. Keep USLEEP. Mynote Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 i asked around a few discord servers i know. some of them said it's the result of playing a really old game on modern hardware. kinda like how something like morrowind might have difficulty running on windows 10 and such. maybe it's about time i switched to special edition. at least this time i can do it since i have this new pc and all.

Whichever you decide to go with, LE or SE, do yourself a favour and assume that you don't know half as much as you think you do. My generalization does not mean that you can't find something good on redit or discord. There are real gems between the BS. For you, this means that you should still think before you believe everything that is thrown at you. Your LO and your comments that LE does not run on newer machines suggests that this is not yet the case. If you already have problems installing mod combos for LE it will not get better with SE. GMP (good modding practice) also applies to SE. My Skyrim LE runs with Windows 10 on a 5 year old tower. Important is a form of memory allocation. All other problems are mainly user error, either from misinformation, no research, blindly try and error or lack of sleep. After that confirmation bias will haunt you.
