Quickloading seems to be broken across the entirety of Skyrim.

I'll try to limit this post to only the relevant information.

I know it's bad practice to add and remove mods mid save, but I considered myself seasoned enough to be able to pick out the ones that are good, and the ones that aren't. I recently added a ported version of Whiterun Mansion to my save. When first approached, it caused a CTD. When attempting to reload any of the quick/autosaves, another CTD would happen. It got to the point during testing, that the main menu would have the infinite loading bug, and removing Whiterun Mansion would fix it. Going in without it, none of my current saves worked, so I had to revert to a hard save from earlier. Couldn't have been more than 45 minutes prior to this, so not too bad. Well, when exploring through this save, all of my quick saves, autosaves, and hard saves that happen AFTER this one are broken. Quicksaving and then quickloading result in a crash 100% of the time, and I can't manually load into the quick or auto saves. I have a feeling Whiterun Mansion screwed me, because when attempting to clean the affected files, fallrim tools would fail to open any saves after the previously mentioned hard save that would work. When starting a new character, quicksaving and then loading that save would actually break my controls, rendering me unable to move, alongside CTD.  Does anyone have any recommendations on how to proceed? I'm trying to cover all avenues before a restart becomes necessary.

There was some issue before adding a mod, most likely, since it persists after removing the mod and a rollback to previous save.

First thing id try is cleaning a savegame with this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031

If that does not help, try the following:

Start a new game, console in player.kill. After it reloads, load your actual save game. Console the same. After reload try manual save.

I know it sounds like woodoo, but it actually worked for me a couple of times.

Lastly - quick save/load system in skyrim is notoriously problematic. Id reccomend using https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34842/?

or for SE - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19399

Ported from SE to LE or the other way around?

LE to SE. However I didn't port it. It was ported by someone in the comments, and the feedback from other SE players was that it worked.

Alright sweet. Also, I did try Fallrim on my own, but it wouldn't let me open any of the afflicted saves with it. Also, is SafeSave safe to install midsave if I do get my game working per chance?

It should be safe. I havent ecountered any issues adding it mid game anyway. Adding mods, at least those that arent flawed to begin with or conflict with what you allready have is safe. Removing is where the problems begin,

If fallrim tools cant open your savegame, there is a good chance that your save is screwd. To rephrase it - once it gets that bad, ive never been able so salvage a savegame.

I do wish you luck, but id urge you to consider digging for root of the problem before starting a new game. If fallrim tools are unable to open your pre-whiterun mansion save - you had a save corruption going on allready and mod that you assumed to be the problem wasnt one. A bad mod can be lethal to long playthroughs, and as much as modders try their best - such cases do happen.

Good news, your method of killing myself in the console somehow worked. I'm frankly, astonished that it did. I was able to reload saves, and even open my most recent save in fallrim tools to clean it. I'm unsure how this solved my issue, but I thank you dearly for it.

Nvm, it actually started up again after about 10 minutes

Its not a cure, merely a workaround.

Problem is still there, and will remanifest. It jsut allows to laod into the game to get some usefull info. Active effects, location, surrounding scenes. Basicly, anything that might help you understand what is going on.

Is there any real way to figure out whats going on with it? Not too sure what to do tbh

Yes, but unfortunately, it comes down to gradually rebuilding your game and testing to pinpoint the issue. There are obvious issues - like unsolved memory issue of LE, or no engine fixes for SE build. Assuming neither is the case -  there is a chance of you just running inherently incompatible stuff or a mod that is inherently problematic. Beyond that - its trial and error.  If you do post your load order, there is a chance that me or some other person will be able to spot a problem they know from experience.

But only reliable solution is gradual rebuild.

Of course. My load order is quite extensive, at over 500 mods. I am just laughing at the fact that it was perfectly stable until installing that whiterun mansion. My load order should be attached to this post

Also, I'm aware of the 253 plugin limiter, however through the 6 or so years I've been modding skyrim, I have never once had that be a cause of any issue when I went over it. Obviously, that could be the problem now, but I think part of me believes that it's just a myth lmao. I'm accepting all input you might have on my load order.

I dont see anything ive had issues with in your LO. As for plugin limiter, there are plugins that dont take such a slot. ESPFE and ESLs. So plugin limit is ptobably not the issue. In fact id say its definetly not, for when i went over it, i just coult not launch TES5. Sorry, but i dont think i can be of much help beyond this point.

Hey that's perfectly fine, I appreciate everything you have helped me with thus far. I'm going to do what you said, and rebuild the load order. I'll move the mods out and add them back in in chunks.

Ye gods.

"I considered myself seasoned enough"

You should reconsider.

I'm putting this in spoilers because it will make grown men weep if they see it.

That is ~125 esps right there.

You do appear to be using 3DNPC even though it is loading after the Cuyima overhaul but are you actually using:

Brotherhood of Old
After the Civil War
Animated Armory
SDA
Cloaks
ACE
Alternate Start Mods
PCE
TBoO
LegacyOfTheDragonborn

I'd better put this in spoilers too, just in case.

Only ~70 in that list.

I couldn't be bothered trawling through but you need to ask which of the mods you have patches for are actually installed.

So you have ~195 patches before you start and that does not include the 'fixes' you have.
You have about 350 other mods (including 3 esls). Most of your mods wont even make it into the game.

Just for good measure here are some general pointers.

That LO has not seen LOOT - e.g. you have patches loading before the mod it patches.

If you are happy with normal ragdolling then you don't need Realistic Ragdolls as XPMSSE skellie does ragdolling.

There again, I can't see the XPMSSE skellie esp. (Maybe deactivated?)

You have several cases of using multiple mods which do the same thing - e.g weather mods, lighting mods, sound mods. Generally pointless and often problematic.

Related to the above, you have things saying ENB. If you are using an ENB then it will generally come with recommendations for lighting and weather mods.

Use the Bijin AiO rather than the three individual esps.

I can't see the RaceMenu esp for the body shape you use.

I don't use SE but I do not think you should be using SOS lite.

Do yourself a favour, start again and follow these:

Oh, and I almost forgot - did you update your bashed patch after installing this Whiterun mod or after uninstalling it if you did?
