assassin394 Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I want to use NifSkope to add gloss glossiness to the character skin but everytime I open femalebody_0.nif or any other nif in character assets folder I got this error. Anyone know what is going on?
coolfreaky Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 i am just wandering what version of nifskope you have ? the last version here : Releases · niftools/nifskope · GitHub
RohZima Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Yeah if it's an nif for SSE you need 2.0 or above I think
myuhinny Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 I think 2.0 was labeled at the top of nifskope or at least I think it use to be.

Anyone know what is going on? Yes. look at the Node Tree structure in your screenshot, it is completely broken. Either it was older Nifskope or unusable nif file Example of a right node data structure in N2.0 dev 7
assassin394 Posted December 16, 2021 Author Posted December 16, 2021 Thank you guys. I was using old 1.2 version and apparently its not working with SSE mesh. Download NifSkope 2.0 and it worked fine now
myuhinny Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Glad that you got it figured out. 1.2 version is fine for skyrim LE fallout 3/New Vegas and Oblivion but skyrim SE and Fallout 4 require 2.0.
