Strange. The log looks good.

 

The only mod issues I can see in the playset are plus plus overwriting everything and possibly forgetting to add the no caps submod (the one you have only affects the elves).

 

I have been unable to reproduce this in 4.0.23 using an empire with a lot of defaults chosen.

 

Are you doing something in particular to get this to happen?

I chose the oligarchy government type, maybe that could be whats making it happen, and I also have plus_plus in the load order with the modification of all instances of plus_plus replaced with all. Does your game show the males dressed in female clothing in the large portrait field when you do that? I forgot to mention the men that appear naked in the large portrait that are wearing the dresses in the small portraits in economy view are wearing the same dress as the elite pop of women of the planet they are on and sometimes the ones that are in the same job as them. Should I put everything and plusplus in a different load order or something like that? I am not doing anything in particular that I know of other than the modifcation to plus_plus, all the other mods are untouched. I used the load order I shared last.

I suspect you somehow replaced the male selectors with female ones, but will need to see your modified file to be sure.

The altered file looks like it shouldn't have broken anything, especially given the lines for males were unchanged. All I can think of now is a possible broken Steam download. Verify files and check again.

I reinstalled and verified integrity, and I ran the same load order as last shared, and tried a run with oligarchy and with a democracy, it seems like the men wear the same female clothes as the ruler of the planet if its a woman but not every time for some reason. And they also might wear the clothes of a female of the same class or above them but never below. It can also flicker between two different outfits if the males portrait is being used in enough different classes. It's cool I like it but I wish it would show it on the large portrait too and stop switching back and forth between outfits based on which of the female portraits it is copying is in view when scrolling through economy view.

Your log indicates you have pre-4.0 versions of mods affecting hair.

 

Does any of this happen if you undo your changes?

 

What about removing the submods?

It only happens if I use fanatic xenophile ethic. Other saves are normal if I pick a different ethic. I actually like it lmao, I just wish the portrait would stay consistent and display the males female clothes on the large portrait also. In one screenshot you can see they are copying the rulers clothes, but in the other they are copying the female elites clothes.

Figured out the issue, at least.

 

Male xenophile specialists had no clothing texture specified, leading to undefined results.

 

This requires fixing in the main mod.

 

Now to figure out what to use...

You're awesome, just curious was I right about it only happening when there was the fanatic xenophile and egalitarian ethic or was that by chance? And could there maybe be a way to opt in to males being allowed to wear female clothes depending maybe on an edict or policy or ethic? And as a side question, is there a way to unlock blonde hair haha?

Just xenophile.

 

For the rest, you'll need image editing software to alter textures to fit and my provided scripts to generate a new set of selectors.

 

Anything more than that is outside the scope of this mod, but I have no problems with people making patch mods that alter things e.g. clothing or hair selection.

If I was ok with a little bit of clipping on the large portraits, is there any small modification I could make to allow the men to have a chance to select from the female options of clothes when they are xenophiles or egalatarians?

That only worked because I created a whole separate set of asset selectors for testing purposes. If you wanted to do that sort of thing from scratch, no, not small. :P

 

I suggest you look through the selectors for both SE and other portrait mods (and vanilla) to learn how to do what you want.

 

Likely best to play around with the selector generator scripts to set things up however you like though.

I changed all instances of soft to all and changed male clothing soft to male clothing all in se restyled everything portrait.txt and plusplus portrait.txt. Then I used ai to make me a scripted trigger that I attached that gives a chance of if the males wear female clothes if they are egalatarian or xenophiles. The only thing is it gives the female rulers more clothing options (which is great) and the male ruler in ruler creation end up naked with greyed out clothing options (which I'm hoping you can enlighten me what I overlooked). The male workers, specialists, and elites also wear the female clothes again and the rulers in the government view do too. Is there a small tweak I could make to allow the males to select clothing options in ruler creation again and in large portraits within economy view given what I changed?

As above, use the scripts to generate asset selectors.

 

Or learn how to write the code yourself.
